The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

"Ryuu! Ryuu! Ryuu!" The old man screamed like an insane. "What can that bastard give you that I can't? I have been raising you since I brought you here. Why can't you be thankful once?!!!" 

"He can give me safety, home, care, and a family. All the things that you never gave me and nor you can," Alcina said while walking towards the door. "Goodbye, Grandfather. I will meet you at your funeral if not at my wedding." 

"Stop right there," Old man shouted. "One order and my men will lock you here forever." 

Alcina just turned back to smile at him."Oh, then, by all means, call them. … call and see if they come."

Realization hit the old man. She had done something to the guards...

"Come on, Grandfather. I kill people for a living. If I dared to come here… it was natural that I would have thought of a way to get out of here." 

"Ciao Ciao, Old man."

The first thing that Alcina did after landing in Beijing was heading directly to Xin Mansion. She got out of the cab and entered the huge gate of the Xin residence. Since she wasn't driving her own car and cab drivers weren't allowed to go any further from this point, she got out of the cab and started walking the rest of the distance. 

She was trying to walk normally and if anyone would see her in this condition, no one would say that she was just given heavy steroids a few hours ago or that she was the same person who had endured lashes and night-long kneeling on the cold floor. 

"Master, Miss Alcina is here to see Missy," Butler announced. 

"Where is she?" asked Xin Yichen with a frown. "Didn't she promise to meet her in the morning?"

"She is waiting in the living room." 

It wasn't that he had any kind of bad blood with Alcina. It was just that his granddaughter had been looking at the main door since the morning, waiting for her mother. Faye was a sensitive kid. So, when Alcina didn't come on time, she was heartbroken. She had started thinking if her mom had abandoned her again. 

"My mama is here?" Faye also heard Butler's voice. Her eyes twinkled once again as she sprinted towards her mom. 

While sprinting, Faye stumbled and fell on the floor, making her lips bleed in the process. 

Alcina and Xin Yichen ran towards the kid whose lip was bleeding badly. 

"Get me the first aid box now," Alcina shouted and took her daughter in her arms. She held back the pain which was caused by hugging Faye. Her kid was more important than the temporary pain that she was feeling currently. 

Gently, she applied medicine on Faye's lips and then coaxed her to sleep. Now that her daughter was in her arms, she let her feel the scent of milk and baby powder. She caressed her face tenderly. 

[You must blame me for leaving you alone, don't you? But tell me how would I have taken you with me when my own grandfather has a peculiar way of expressing his love and care? Your grandfather was ready to shake the world just because you accidentally got hurt. Baby, you are so lucky that you have a family that loves you more than them. Forgive your mama, if I did something to ever hurt you. Trust me, I never wish to hurt you. ]

With the last lingering gaze at her, she left the room. She found Xin Yichen out walking back and forth. When he saw Alcina coming out, he immediately asked, "How is she? Is she alright? Is she in pain? Was she crying? Oh, no, our baby doesn't even know how to cry. I sometimes wish for her to cry. So, at least she will tell us that she is in pain." 

He was blabbering in worry. And it was amusing to see him all flustered and worried. Ryuu and Zhenyi were very lucky to have him as their father. Sure, he had some drawbacks but which human doesn't? 

"Mr. Xin, calm down. She is alright. She was just frustrated," Alcina tried to calm him down. She noticed that Ryuu and Xin Yichen were so similar in many aspects. Both of them get worried too soon. Taking a little pause, she added, "Since she doesn't know how to express emotions properly, she gets confused and frustrated but you keep on doing what you are doing. It's helping her. I have never thought that my daughter would be so lazy. She found talking and communicating with everyone troublesome." 

Xin Yichen nodded. "She is indeed a unique child. But remarkable nonetheless." 

"I called her lazy ass," Alcina said, tempted to roll her eyes. But she was too tired and in pain to roll her eyes. 

"And I chose to ignore all the negative comments about my precious, " Xin Yichen retorted. To him, there was nothing greater than his kids or grandkids. He was that mom who couldn't see any wrong in his children. 

"Mr. Xin, don't ever change. You are the world's best father and grandfather," Alcina said. She didn't know what came to her but she wanted him to know this. 

"Thank you," Xin Yichen said with teary eyes. "I have devoted my life to my children. And hearing you say these words…. You don't know what they mean to me." 

"You know Ryuu loves you too?" Alcina couldn't help but say. She didn't want both of them to be on bad terms because of her. "Do not let your relationship with your son degrade for an outsider like me. Talk to him when you get time. He can be an ass sometimes." 

Xin Yichen laughed and nodded. "You are not an outsider, Alcina. The moment you give birth to my granddaughter, you become a part of the family. I don't know what your status is in Ryuu's life. But if you want, you can always lean on us." 

"Thank you," Alcina replied. "I will take my leave. Please take care of yourself and her too. " 

She was afraid that if she stayed there any longer she would end up crying. She didn't know why but she was so vulnerable today.. If someone hugged her right now, she knew that she was going to cry harder.
