The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 321 - Sick And Frail Ryuu

"Master, it's been more than twenty minutes since Madam had gone inside, " Gu Tian said worriedly. He watched Long Jie staring at his watch in the mirror and sighed. They had parked the car in a dark and isolated alley. He couldn't understand what Long Jie was thinking right now and what was the need of sending Zhenyi inside when they had more than capable soldiers.

A moment later, someone opened the car door and slid into the seat next to Long Jie, and ordered Gu Tian to drive.

Long Jie hugged Zhenyi as soon as she occupied the seat beside him. "Are you fine, Cat eyes?

He didn't ask her if she was successful in her mission or not. Rather he was worried about her. Just what she gonna do with this stupid yet lovely husband of hers?

"I'm perfectly fine, Jie," Zhenyi replied. She understood what he might be feeling when he was inside waiting for her. He was quite a worrier. But she loved him.

"Aren't you gonna ask if I found her or not?" She raised the question.

"I believe in your capabilities, baby," said Long Jie with a kiss on her forehead.

In the front, Gu Tian had an urge to get the hell out of the car and let them continue their lovey-dovey. He couldn't seem to be able to digest this side of his boss-slash-friend.

"So, what happened to the girl?" Long Jie asked as he positioned her head on his shoulder and she closed her eyes to rest for a moment. He had a feeling that she was not quite herself at this moment but he didn't ask her the reason as he knew she would tell him soon.

Just why do all the problems fall on her and her family? Long Jie wondered in his mind.

Zhenyi said after a long while, "I still can't get over the fact that the stupid girl refused to come with me. She chose Du Zheng over me."

"Perhaps, there is something that's stopping her from accepting your health," answered Long Jie after giving a thought.

Zhenyi opened her eyes abruptly as she remembered something "Jie, do you know where Ryuu will be?"

"Gu Tian, drive the car to Tang Palace."

"Master, do you think it will be appropriate for you to visit Tang Palace since Lord Tang is not there," Gu Tian asked immediately. He was still not informed about Lord Tang.

"Gu Tian?"

Poor Gu Tian turned back to find Long Jie smiling at him weirdly which sent shivers down his spine.

"Master?!"

"Did I ever mention that your Lord Tang is now my brother-in-law?" Long Jie asked him with a huge grin at which Zhenyi rolled her eyes.

'Childish!'

Gu Tian: 'blink blink.'

"So, this is the Tang Palace?" Zhenyi said as they entered the threshold of the glamourous palace.

"Don't tell me you have never been here?" questioned Long Jie while staring at Zhenyi in astonishment.

"I haven't," Zhenyi replied. "I never asked Ryuu ever about his several identities or what he does. All I knew was that my brother is a superhero and he can do what no one else could even fathom about."

Long Jie could understand what Zhenyi was trying to say. He reached Ryuu's bedroom door and glanced at Zhenyi as if they should knock or not.

With a smirk, Zhenyi opened the door to find Alcina feeding Ryuu. Well, this was not the scene they were anticipating to watch.

"Woah," Zhenyi exclaimed, covering her eyes with her hands. " I didn't see anything. Carry on."

Alcina rolled her eyes at Zhenyi's antics. She could be childish sometimes.

Long Jie ignored Zhenyi's amazed reaction and dragged her inside. He knew that his Cat eyes sometimes liked to enjoy a good romantic drama. Only when Long Jie asked Ryuu if he was fine, Zhenyi removed her hands from her eyes to see a pale and sick Ryuu.

Well, the scene was enough to worry her to death.

"Bro, are you fine?" Zhenyi quickly palmed his forehead. She was frowning at him in concern. "If you were sick, shouldn't you refuse my invitation to lunch? Not only this, but I also made you eat spicy food along with alcohol. Ryuu! I do not know what to do with you?"

If he wasn't his elder brother, she would have beaten him to a pulp for ignoring his health.

"Apparently, he can't say no to Xin girls," Alcina said as she placed the soup bowl on the table and brought some medicine for Ryuu. "I can't tolerate your brother, Zhenyi. He is an unreasonable and arrogant brat who thinks scaring his team of doctors wouldn't have any kind of effect on his health. He knows better than anyone how sick he is. Yet, he insisted on overworking himself --"

"Stop it, Alcina," Ryuu said. In spite of being gravely ill, his voice didn't lack his usual authority. But only if it worked on Alcina.

"You just shut up," Alcina glared at him fiercely. "You have time to think about everyone's well being. Even for those who are dead, you have the time to pay respect. But can't you honor your body by keeping it healthy?"

"Alcina!!"

"See, that's how he scares his doctors away every time they tell him to take medicines diligently," Alcina said to Zhenyi while glaring at Ryuu.

Zhenyi turned her head to look at Long Jie who also happened to glance at Zhenyi in equal fascination. Lord Tang finally met his match.

"Alcina, stop making a mountain out of a molehill," Ryuu said in a resigned voice.

"You know the truth, your majesty. I'm just a doctor who is not even paid for her job," said Alcina sarcastically. "But don't you worry. Feng Siyan will be joining his duty from tomorrow. We don't have to worry about a single thing."

Without paying attention to Alcina's sarcastic words, he turned to look at Zhenyi and Long. "Why are you two here? Everything is alright?"

"We will wait until you are fine," Long Jie said and Zhenyi nodded. She couldn't see his Ryuu working his butt off in this frail condition. And as long as this pretty sis was alive, she would never let her sick brother work!

'Don't worry, bro. I have got you.'

"No," Ryuu firmly refused.

'You are not cute at all, Ryuu!'
