The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

"Does Long Jie know that you know about the miscarriage?" Xin Yichen asked after a while. He knew that it was Long Jie who brought her home last night, and since he brought her home, he would know why she was upset. 

"He knows?" Zhenyi looked at him with red wide eyes. 

Seeing him nodding his head, Zhenyi collapsed on the chair next to her. She couldn't believe it all. He broke her trust again. And here she had lost her heart to him. She was such an idiot. Every time, she would give her trust to him on a platter, and he wouldn't think twice before breaking it. 

That was her karma, wasn't it? She had killed many people for her own profit, and now Lord was punishing her. 

Hah. She deserved all the misfortunes that fell on her. She deserved to be unloved and left behind. 

She thought back to the time when she woke up from the coma more than two months ago, and let out a bitter laugh. 

"All of you are big f.u.c.k.i.n.g liars!" 

She picked up her bag which had now fallen on the ground and left to leave. 

"I'm done with you all!" 

"Zin'er, please forgive me. You're my daughter and I can't see you in pain. I never wanted to hurt you. I wanted to protect you from the pain. I know how you will take this matter. I also know that you would blame yourself for the death of your unborn child when you were not at fault. Long Jie wanted to tell you, but I was against his decision--" 

"Oh come on, Bà. You don't need to protect him or our marriage," Zhenyi said with a laugh as she wiped her tears. Xin Yichen felt a shiver down his spine. He didn't know why but he couldn't see her behaving normally as if nothing had happened all of a sudden. "Did you forget that the marriage pact we signed had mentioned there would be no divorce in any case? So, chill. I'll live and die as his wife. Isn't that what you and Yèyè wanted?" 

"This is not the truth, princess." 

Zhenyi opened her mouth to retort but stopped when she heard Ryuu's voice. 

Ryuu had asked Xiuying to rest in his room as he received an important call, but just as he exited the room to pick the call, he heard Zhenyi shouting at his father. He couldn't believe his ears! If there was one thing he knew about his sister, it was that she couldn't be angry at the people she called her family at all, much less than shout at them. So, he cut the call and came down immediately. 

"What's happening here?" He couldn't help but ask as he saw his father's painful expression and Zhenyi's red eyes. He felt as if someone had squeezed his lungs tightly and he couldn't breathe at all. When was the last time he felt something like this? 

Just as Zhenyi saw Ryuu's baffled expressions, she couldn't stop her tears. She ran into his embrace, placed her head on his heart, and cried her heart out. Ryuu had never seen her sister crying so badly, not even when he found her half-dead fifteen years ago. She was always brave and frowned upon crying. He always told her that there was nothing wrong with crying. Tears never make us cowardly. Then, why seeing her tears he felt as if he would die just to see a smile on her face?

"Ryuu, Bà lied to me. I don't know what to do. Jie lied to me too. Do you know what they did?" She told him in a sobbing voice." They didn't tell me that I also lost my baby in the accident." She broke the hug and looked at him, her eyes were holding despair and broken dreams," Am I not unfortunate?" 

Seeing Ryuu's guilty eyes, Zhenyi looked at him in shock. 

"You knew," Zhenyi whispered. 

"Angel--" 

"Of course, you knew." She laughed suddenly. "Welcome to the family of liars. You are my ideal, big brother. I always look up to you. In my eyes, no one is like you no matter how great they are. You are my God. Dammit, I worship you! But what did you do to me? Your lies broke my heart. Where is the Ryuu who would die than lie?" 

"I'm not a saint, Angel. I'm human after all." 

"Oh, trust me, now I know," She said."Why didn't you tell me? You also thought that I am weak and can't handle the stress? Or did you also think like Bà that I will get a heart attack and die?" 

Ryuu sighed out, "I know my sister is not weak. But Zhenyi, the decision was taken by your husband and Bà. I could go against Bà but you are Long Jie's wife and as your husband and the father of the baby, he had more right to decide than me. I'm sorry, I couldn't protect your happiness." 

"I don't want to hear your excuses. I just know that both of you have been lying to me since I was a child," She said and looked at her father. "Bà, you not only lied about this matter to me but also about the death of my mom. She did not die in any accident. I saw her dying in front of my eyes. I still remember that scene like it was just yesterday when she sacrificed her life to save mine." She then turned to Ryuu, "I also remember that you came to save me. Ryuu, did you forget that there was one more person who died to protect my life?" 

Both Xin Yichen and Ryuu were looking at her frozen. They were too shocked to act. Taking advantage of this moment, Zhenyi left the room and the Xin mansion. She didn't know about her destination but she did know that she needed to go far and far from them. 

She didn't blame Bà, Ryuu, or even Long Jie. It was just that the emotions accumulated inside her erupted like lava from the volcano.
