The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Zhenyi came out of the underground basement followed by Ada and Long Yuan a while later. 

"I've investigated the maid's background. I didn't find anything suspicious," Long Yuan said as he passed the tablet to Zhenyi. He still couldn't get why this particular maid took the job when she knew that she would end up getting killed. 

Zhenyi gave it a single glance before passing it back to him. "Isn't it normal? She, among all the other maids, was chosen for a specific reason. I just can't understand what it actually is." 

"I'll keep investigating this case," Long Yuan said solemnly. "By the way, was the note life threatening?" 

Zhenyi froze for a moment before going back to normal, "Something close to it." 

Long Yuan nodded. He understood the gravity of the matter. It was fine if she didn't want to share with anyone. 

"Ada, go to Xin mansion. Make sure all the things I need will be brought here. Mrs. Xie will be arriving here at noon. You will train under her for a month," Zhenyi informed her. She didn't trust the staff of Long Mansion, and this maid proved it right that she shouldn't trust them either. 

As Long Yuan saw that Ada had left, he raised a question that was troubling him for a long time now. "Your help is not reliable. Why not get rid of her when you can get the perfect person for this position?" 

Zhenyi suddenly smiled at Long Yuan. Her smile was a genuine one, not her signature mocking smile. "I can get rid of her anytime I want. But I won't find someone as useful as her again." 

"I don't understand…" Long Yuan was honestly confused by Zhenyi's answer and her civil behavior. Did she forget that they are not on good terms? 

"She will end her life rather than betraying me," Zhenyi said, staring at Ada's back. "You know why?" Long Yuan shook his head. "Because she is Jin Ada. Her father taught her what it means to give someone her loyalty." 

Of course, Zhenyi knew who Jin Ada's father was. She was rather shocked to find the biological father of Jin Ada. 

She turned to Long Yuan and softly patted his shoulders," You did a good job." 

Cao Feng emerged beside Zhenyi and handed something to Zhenyi. She had asked Cao Feng to bring him something. 

She tossed something at Long Yuan. Thanks to his quick reflexes, he caught it in his palm before it could hit his already injured nose. When he opened his palm, he was astonished to see... a car key. 

"Don't run the wheels of your brain too much." 

"Well...what is this?" Long Yuan asked when he recovered from his initial shock. 

"Look by yourself!" With this Zhenyi was gone.

Long Yuan's cell phone started ringing and when he saw it was his brother calling, he cursed loudly. 

However, he picked up the call and greeted him in a very sickly sweet voice. 

"First brother!" 

"How's everything back at home?" Long Jie inquired.

"Everything is alright since you left me here to take care of everything," Long Yuan answered proudly. He gave a full report to his brother about the happenings that had taken place during his absence. He also told Long Jie about the maid incident. And as anticipated, Long Jie got furious and a little sad too as Zhenyi hadn't informed him first. 

"Your wife is really weird," Long Yuan said after some time. He still couldn't understand why Zhenyi gave him the car keys. Was she trying to buy his loyalty? If she thought she could win him over like Zhao Meilin, she was very, very wrong. 

"What did my Cat-eyes do this time?" Long Jie asked with a sigh. "And stop calling her weird. She is extraordinary. You ordinary people won't understand it." 

"You're whipped, brother," Long Yuan said while rolling his eyes. "She gave me car keys all of a sudden. And when I asked her what it was. She said look by yourself. Isn't it called being weird?" 

"My Cat-eyes is a low-key philanthropist. You won't understand," Long Jie retorted with a smile. 

Long Yuan slapped his forehead,' There is no chance of repairing his insane parts. He is utterly, completely, and irrevocably in love with that devilish Zhenyi.'

Zhenyi was reviewing some documents when her phone rang. She kept the file side and looked at the phone screen. 

A message came from an unknown number. 

 'The maid is probably dead by now, isn't she? You are so predictable, Xin Zhenyi. This Young Master is finding the game too boring. 

Let's level up this game between you and this handsome Young Master. 

Don't bother with the maid's background. She is as clean as a pure maiden. 

Poor Song Lily, you killed her pawn. She won't be very happy. 

TIME FOR PUNISHMENT, XIN ZHENYI. This Young Master takes lessons and punishment very seriously.' 

Zhenyi was not shocked to receive the message. To be honest, she was anticipating this Young Master to contact her. Why did she have a feeling that he was more of a trouble than she thinks? 

However, keeping all the doubts stirring in her heart aside, she messaged Cao Feng. 

'Get information about this number. Even if you don't find anything, keep digging.' 

She heaved out a sigh. She knew that the other party was not an idiot. If he dared to message her on her private number, he would have taken note of all the pros and cons beforehand. She was very much sure that they wouldn't find anything about this number. Still, she asked Cao Feng to investigate it.

All of a sudden, the door to Zhenyi's office opened, and in came an astonished Fan Bingbing with a laptop in her hand. 

"Zhenyi!" 

"What happened?" Zhenyi asked her. Although she had a premonition in her heart. 

"A scandal!" 

Fan Bingbing played the video which she received in Zhenyi's emails.

A ghostly robotic voice spoke, "PUNISHMENT TIME, XIN ZHENYI."
