The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 192 - Title Is A Spoiler

"I'm screwed!" Long Jie said to himself.

Despite all his best effort and plausible thought, he knew he had axed his own feet. No, he was one of those idiots who first bought the axe and then deliberately hit his own feet on it. But what else could he do when he was all ready to get hit tonight?

He had become a cliché within seconds. Who had guessed that the man who was like a moon so far, so unapproachable, would be begging another star to borrow its light?

He was the moon and she was his sun. Ugh. Another cliché.

He now understood what Romeo meant when he said, upon seeing Juliet, "Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night."

Well, Long Jie was not seeing her for the first time in life, he watched her every day, every moment, and whenever he was given the chance.

It was ridiculous, wasn't it?

He knew that she would be his damnation when he first saw her, but tonight and all the days and nights after it, she was and would be the only reason he was living in this world, not merely surviving.

The bane of his existence was now the only reason he was breathing.

She ignited a foreign feeling in his heart when he first saw her. Or the heart of steel as she had said. Was it love at first sight then for him?

Of course, not.

But when he met her as Xin Zhenyi, he didn't even hesitate to sign the marriage contract. Was he in love with her then?

Definitely not. Then, why did he prepone the marriage date?

Was it because she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and he found himself helpless and powerless against her blinding beauty?

Well...absolutely.

Call him shallow, but he didn't care. He wanted her and he got her. End of story.

But the cliché didn't end here.

Here, he was finding him falling for her every day.

And, today he found her even more beautiful than she already was.

He saw her walking towards him, the white dress he specifically chose for her wrapped around her sinuous body, with every step she took towards him, she seemed like a fairy abandoning her heavenly heaven just to get a piece of his burning hell.

Her long dark brown wavy hair was done into soft curls which reached below her breasts.

Since he was a man first and her husband second, his gaze lingered on her breasts for a little more time.

However, moving upwards, her neck was empty except for a necklace which never left her body and then to her gorgeous face which was given a light makeover today.

And just like the first time, it was not her face which held his attention, it was her cat-shaped eyes.  So mysterious and so unpredictable that he didn't know how to look away from them.

Whoever had given a makeover to her eyes had done fantastic work.

She was a sight to behold precisely.

She was literally so beautiful that he was at a loss for what to think.

One might call him insane, but all he could think about was the prose and poems he had once read in appreciation of the poet's beloved. And how badly, he wished he could write one for her, so he could tell her what her beauty was capable of.

As if it was less of a cliché already and then she smiled, holding his eyes into hers.

And by any God in this damn realm, he could see her smile melting glaciers and curing cancer and causing rain on a desert and every impossible thing...

He found his legs moving towards her,  meeting her halfway, his eyes still fixed in hers. Before he could think or do anything, he bent down and captured her lips with his.

He knew he was moving too fast, but could he just for a moment stop all the thoughts causing short-circuit in his head, and do what he wanted to do all the time?

He was dying to taste her cherry lips, now that he was, it felt as if his heart had just sighed in relief.

He broke the kiss before his instinct took over and the date he planned with great difficulty would be left unattended and both of them on their bed.

"I'm scared." She was the first one to break the silence between them.

Something pierced his heart and when checked it was her nervous whisper.

"Look into my eyes," He whispered back. His forehead connected to hers.

"What am I looking for?" She whispered, staring deep into his eyes.

"Shhh," He hushed her, making her think that he was doing his magic of making her fear go away like he always did. " Just keep looking."

She stared into his eyes and he stared into her eyes. No words were uttered and no eyes were blinked.

After an eternity…

"Why are we staring into each other's eyes?" Zhenyi whisper-asked him as all of her nervousness and second thoughts of backing out left her body.

"Just taking in your eternal beauty, Love," Long Jie subconsciously replied, spilling cold water over her romantic thoughts.

"You!" Her soft gaze turned into a ferocious glare and she abruptly separated her forehead from his and pointed her finger at him.

"Don't be angry, baby," Long Jie said, biting her pointed finger.

"Ouch! What are you? A dog?"

"Nah, the love of your life." He announced with a mischievous grin and Zhenyi rolled her eyes at him.

"Narcissist!"

"Cute!"

Perhaps, both of them didn't realise how much power they hold in their hands as they were capable enough to affect each other's mood. He could undo her and she could be his unbecoming.

This night would change the course of their relationship forever.

The grievance, trust issues, misunderstanding, and every vile element in their relationship would vanish in this starry night and love as great as we hear and read in books would be born.
