The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Exactly after an hour, Zhenyi called the person, she was needing to talk to. The man went to God knows where and hadn't answered any of her calls. Later, she called his assistant and told him to inform his boss to call her back immediately. 

Lately, people have developed a habit of getting invisible whenever they wanted, it didn't matter to them if there was someone back home waiting for them and worrying to the extent of going crazy.

  She was not talking about her husband but someone else this time. 

The call was picked up exactly after three rings. "Very nice of you to finally pick up the phone, brother," Zhenyi's voice rang in the other man's ear. 

'Ah, no greetings. Nothing. The little angel must be angry to the point of murdering any poor human,' he thought. 

"Got a little busy, Angel. What can I say?" Ryuu said? He was breathing heavily as he had been running for quite some time. 

Well, he was not running but planning to ambush a church. Right now, he was smoking while sitting on the roof of the same church. 

"Busy with what if I may ask?" Zhenyi said in annoyance. 

Ryuu took a puff of the cigarette and crushed the same cigarette under his shoe. He had heard it was forbidden to smoke at God's residence.

"Stealing a bride, Angel. Stealing a bride," Ryuu replied to his sister. 

"Haha. Very funny, brother. " Zhenyi faked laughed. 

Her brother was testing her patience now. Don't get her wrong but sometimes his jokes were untimely.

"Ryuu, I'm serious. Where are you? Where do you go this time? Do you know how worried Bà is? Did you talk to him after the wedding? He seriously sounds very anxious this time---

Ryuu's sight fell on the soldier advancing towards him with a machine gun in his hand. He muted Zhenyi's call, kicked the man in the gut, and once he fell on the ground, he grabbed his gun and killed him by slashing his throat with his dagger.

"Hello... Ryuu? Are you hearing me?" Zhenyi spoke again as she was getting no reply from him. 

Ryuu unmuted the call and in a normal tone, he said, "It's only been few days. I've been gone for long before."

"Exactly. Bà was never worried before but this time he has been trying to reach you and your stiff piece of wood is not answering his call. He is too loyal for his good sometimes," Zhenyi complained.

She was worried too because she was aware of the fact how serious Ryuu took her safety and since she was almost killed at her wedding, he would certainly take some steps against the assailants. 

" What can I say? He obeys his master's orders. And as for Bà, I might have said something impulsively," Ryuu told his sister.

His assistant was extremely loyal and faithful to his boss. He didn't care or fear anyone except his boss not even Xin Yichen. 

"Impulsive and you?" Zhenyi scoffed. "Well, it doesn't fit together. What's with this stealing a bride thing?" 

"I'm serious, Angel. If you prefer, I can show you the chapel, the groom, or even the bride in a few minutes angel." Ryuu offered. 

More men loaded with weapons came. Ryuu put her call on the speaker and mute simultaneously. He grabbed the machine gun from the dead soldier and shoot the other who came to the terrace of the church. They were fifteen people in total and were killed in few seconds. 

Ryuu was not a killing machine but he was skilled and trained to kill within seconds. He was an heir to the empire, what could one expect from him? 

"God, Ryuu." Zhenyi groaned. She went on, " If you wanted a woman, you could have simply taken her away, why go for abducting a bride?"

Kidnapping a bride from her wedding was too troublesome. And it was so high-profile for some like Ryuu who had always maintained his mysteriousness and secrecy. 

" And last I heard you never wanted to marry," Zhenyi said. 

A few years ago, Grandfather and Ryuu had a full-blown war over the topic of his wedding. He had vowed in front of his grandfather that he would never marry, never sire a child to continue his legacy and his legacy would end with him. 

"Still never want to marry. Before you ask, I'll answer your question. The bride is not for me. The dark horses asked for a favor and being a good friend that I'm, I accepted the deal." Ryuu told her. 

Zhenyi was dumbfounded after hearing Ryuu.

"Wait a moment. Dark horses? How the hell these four insane never fail to amaze me? "

The dark horses was a brotherhood found by four men-- Santiago, Nash, Callum, and Killian. They were dangerous, unpredictable and a brand of insanity. The first dark horse was called 'Villian'.

"Because they are dark horses, what can you expect from these geniuses," Ryuu sighed heavily. 

He looked around to find the source of firing. But it seemed it was coming from inside the church. 

"More like lunatics, Ryuu. And who's the poor bride? Does she even know she will be stolen on her wedding day or they are going to spring it on her later with a bang?" Zhenyi fired questions after questions. 

How come Ryuu took such a crazy job? Weddings are sacred and stealing a bride sinful even for some like them. 

"Ah, she is Persephone Marino-- Alessandro Marino's daughter. And no, the poor bride has no idea what's going to strike her."

"Holy shit," Zhenyi stood up and wiped her hand on her face in shock, anger, and frustration. She paused for a moment apparently to thought what to say to her crazy brother. "You are in New York. We don't tangle with Marinos. We do business with them. I can lose a potential buyer because of these dark horses."

Marino family was a crime family based in New York. It was one of the three largest and oldest crime families in New York. Marinos have maintained a degree of influence over small mobs, drug cartels, and government too. Alessandro Marino was the head of the Marino family and the boss of the crime syndicate. His daughter Persephone was getting married to one of the capos who happened to be the Consigelegre to Alessandro Marino. 

"We do business with Marinos and we are friends with the other party. Santiago, Nash, Callum, and Killian are friends, Zhenyi," Ryuu corrected. 

"You are friends with those freaks, Ryuu not me. I can not tolerate either of these." Zhenyi retorted.

She would never be friends with them, especially that Nash. Killian was bearable and to some extent Callum too. But she had no words to describe Santiago. 

"Very well then. They offered a deal and I happen to accept it." Ryuu said since he didn't know how to make her understand his point of view. 

"Does they even know they made the deal with the devil in the disguise of a friend?" Zhenyi asked. 

"Devil, eh? Angel." Ryuu asked with a chuckle. 

"Oh sorry, you will put the devil to shame," She scoffed. 

"Santiago will be hurt to hear that someone snatched his place," Ryuu said. 

It only took a second for the information to register in her mind. "So, it is the Villian who made the grandest plan of abducting a bride for whatever reasons and you are a accomplice in this stupidest plan."

Ryuu saw Santiago's message on the screen. They got the bride and it was time for him to leave this place. He knew he couldn't leave through the main door. And a pipeline came to his view which will take him to the other side of the church where a car was waiting for him. His men will handle the Marino soldier and a few kilometers away his chopper was ready to take him to the airport where he would board his plane and flew back home. 

"Why were you looking for me?" He asked his sister.

"Got a task for you, Big B," Zhenyi answered. 

He raised his brow. What happened to 'shewas a strong and independent woman and could perform her tasks herself'? But he kept his mouth shut, didn't want to mess with his little tigress at least not now when he has to escape for his life in few seconds. 

"Ah, tasks are always welcomed. Send the details. Will see you soon at home, Angel. Tell dear dad to take care of his dad," Ryuu indirectly told her. 

"So, eloquent, Ryuu." Zhenyi laughed and cut the phone.
