Chapter 275 – “How long is Aunty Yan going to hibernate for?” (1)

With some money in hand, Yan Shuyu no longer felt panicky. She still had to work on the regular workdays but she refused to work overtime and insisted on having her weekends off. At most she would go to her part time gig for an hour at night on Saturdays and Sundays at Sunshine House.

When her new profession going up and up and money kept on rolling in, Yan Shuyu didn’t really need to keep this part-time gig anymore. She was merely kept on going owing to her relationship with Manager Yang. It was, after all, something that they had agreed upon in the past and that she got along nicely with her buddies at the coffee shop so her going there would also double as meeting up with them once in a while.

The boss was the exactly opposite of her. Yan Shuyu was not an ambitious one. She was very pleased and contented with her current income. The boss, on the other hand, had money enough to last him a few lifetimes and yet he still worked very hard. It seemed he would only be happy if he had worked for half a day over the weekends.

As such, on this in the bitter cold Saturday morning in the middle of winter, while Yan Shuyu was still sound asleep in bed, the boss was already full dressed and said to her while sitting next on the bed, “I have a meeting in the morning and meeting with some customers in the afternoon. I might be home late. You should have lunch at home without me.”

Yawning, Yan Shuyu pulled her head out from under the blanket but otherwise showed no signs of wanting to get out of bed. “What time are you leaving?”

“9:30.” Without her asking again, Boss Zhou looked at the time on his watch and said, “It’s almost 9 now.”

He needed to go eat breakfast and head out.

And that was exactly what Yan Shuyu was waiting for. She quickly said cheerfully, “Yuanbao has a class at 9:30 as well. Can you drop him off on your way out?”

Zhou Qinhe, “……”

“What about you?”

“I have no class today. I am going to go back to sleep,” said Yan Shuyu very matter-of-factly. “Speaking of, come with me to the coffee shop tonight?”

Her love life with the boss was no longer a secret so Yan Shuyu no longer bothered trying to hide it. She had been going to Sunshine House with her “entire family” the last few times. To a point that she felt sad when the boss and the kids didn’t accompany her.

To think that she was so independent when she first transmigrated over. =.=

“Alright.” Zhou Qinhe paused and agreed to both of her requests. Seeing how she was about to tuck her head under the blanket once again, he pulled the blanket over and said to her gently, “At least eat breakfast first before you go back to sleep.”

The boss’s voice might be gentle but his tone allowed no room for disagreement. Yan Shuyu, too, was starting to get hungry. Her routine had been set every since she had been raising a child and had always had her three meals a day. It was only natural for her to feel hungry at this hour. She grabbed onto the hand in front of her decisively and said, “Can you please have the aunty bring my food into the room? I don’t want to go downstairs.”

Zhou Qinhe, “It’s only a few steps.”

Yan Shuyu blinked and gave him the perfect reason, “It’s snowing outside. I’m cold.”

Truth was, the heater worked very well even in her original little apartment. The heating in this new and luxurious mansion would only be better. Surely it was snowing outside and sowing heavily at that. Nevertheless, that had absolutely nothing to do with the temperature indoor. The indoor maintained a very comfortable temperature year round.

Zhou Qinhe, after looking at her for a while, finally nodded. The very next second, Yan Shuyu happily curled up under her blanket once again.

Boss Zhou had a seriously look on him when he walked over to the kids’ bedroom next door. He probably felt that the older one was already beyond help so the best he could do was to stop her from rubbing off on the two little boys.
