Chapter 274 – “You are my girlfriend. No need to be shy.” (4)

The boss was the boss after all. His flattery skill could easily put Secretary Lu to shame. Yan Shuyu felt delightful immediately and rested her head happily on the boss’s shoulder and asked pridefully, “I didn’t embarrass you, did I?”

As much as the boss was flattering her, she still needed to ask what she wanted to ask. The thought of the critical question made her look turned serious again. “So why did you insist on me bringing the document over today anyway? Could none of your employees make a trip for you?”

It wasn’t like they live very far from the office. They were so close that it was probably just a matter of a 15-minute subway ride.

The bossed answered her question with a question, “Do you not like coming to the office?”’

“No, that’s not it.” She was well taken care of today so there was nothing for her to be unhappy about. That being said, she wasn’t entirely a willing participant either. Stuttering a little, she said, “I just felt that it was too showy and therefore a little embarrassing was all.”

“You are my girlfriend. It’s not an underground relationship. What is there to feel embarrassed about?”

That made Yan Shuyu happy. Their relationship was out in the open. They were not having an affair and there was no need to hide it.

She was able to find another excuse though. “Everybody in the lobby turned to look at me when I walked inside of the elevator. That was a little embarrassing.”

The boss chuckled and teased, “Are you sure they weren’t looking at you because you are so pretty?”

The one who just said she was shy immediately thrust her chest out and said pridefully, “Well, if that was the case, they should have been looking at me when I walked inside of the lobby. Why would they all look over at the same time when I was about to walk inside of the elevator?”

Zhou Qinhe nodded thoughtfully, agreeing with her that what she said made sense. He then said, “Alright then, if you don’t like it, I will try not to trouble you next time.”

Yan Shuyu was just about to nod in agreement when she heard the boss’s explanation. “I just thought I’ll have you familiarize yourself with the route, in case you need to come look for me in the future.”

As much as Yan Shuyu felt that there wouldn’t be a situation where she’d need to come looking for the boss at his office, she understood that he meant well. As such, she expressed generously, “Alright. All is forgiven then. Afternoon tea is on me. Feel free to order away~”

Yan Shuyu quickly got used to her new life after the move and she was also getting more and more familiar with her new job.

The first few days after she had joined the musical institution and, as a new instructor with zero experiences, she had no inquiries at all. Any parents who had looked into her experiences had ruled her out. As such, for the first two weeks that she was there, all of Yan Shuyu’s income came from Xiao Zhou Yi, her only “student”.

Given the situation, Yan Shuyu could only comfort herself by reassuring herself that she has at least one long term source of income.

‘Lo and behold, the turning point in her new found career came earlier than expected. As winter vacation had started for all high schools and grade schools, more and more students headed to the musical institution to explore a new hobby. Yan Shuyu, without warning, had became a big high among these high school and grade school students.

Such was the benefits of being attractive. Even the little male lead at his age knew to ask for the tender and pretty Aunty Yan to be his instructors, the same was definitely true little boys attending high schools and grade schools.

By that age, many of their parents would be willing to listen to their kids’ opinion. After all, if they were just starting piano lesson at that age, their parents were not exactly expecting them to become professionals in this area. It was just a hobby and something to do during the winter vacation. Anything was better than them holing up at home playing mobile games on their cellphones.

As such, the quality of the instructor was relative unimportant. The parents were just happy as long as their children were willing to attend.

And that was how Yan Shuyu had unexpectedly become the most popular instructor at the institution. Her weekly schedule was filled all of a sudden and she no longer had any free time in the morning or the afternoon. She even had classes at night some times. In fact, she was so busy that she barely had time to play her mobile games or watch her television shows.

That being said, Yan Shuyu was still quite happy when she thought about her income this month.
