The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 185 - Girlfriend...

And for a very long time, he finally called her by her real name. 'Amaira..' the name sounded too sweet from his lips which she had the urge to hear once again

'Control your urges, he will simply seal his mouth like last time.' letting her heart calm down, she stared at his face to noticing no change in his present expressions.

"Yes. You are correct, I have changed.. too much."

As far she knew she was totally a new person from that time they met.

Years ago, she was a naive teenager who felt her entire world revolved around this man.

Yet, now she is more mature to understand that, love is.. a part of life.

Your world revolves around too many things and.. not every time your love story is supposed to end on a good note.

A bitter smile curved on her face when she recalled why they parted their ways.

"So have you.. Your entire lifestyle and everything.. also changed. Right?"

"You searched for me on social media, stalked me so I guess you are aware of the same. Isn't it so?" His words were like a straight truth that has been thrown on her face.

So correct, Amaira thought as if he could see through her at any cost. She has nothing to say in return, only to listen.

"It was the time.. when we were young."

"Madly in love and young. Probably yes, you were but I wasn't. I knew my status very well… So did yours. After all, how can two people of different standards come together? Isn't it so?"

A huge smile lingered on his face when he recalled the time they had the talks about their past.

There were tons of mistakes committed by them, but still, the guilt and gap between them were so big.

There is always a villain in one's story and there was the same in theirs.

When Amaira lowered her face, Ryan opened his mouth to say.

"Mr. Shawn hasn't changed even a little bit. He is of the same mindset, rich people are supposed to marry rich."

Amaira didn't say anything with respect to this. She knew. her father too similarly how he described.

Moreover, they have already gone through that phase, and making others believe them.. would be a total blunder.

As if she knew it too well that her father was already wrong in many places. "He is what he is.."

"Correct! No one can ever say anything to him. Anyways, that doesn't affect me anymore..you are his daughter so you should be careful about it, not me." His words were harsh and rude.

Directed towards her, she knew that he was blaming her for everything she did.. from the very starting.

Yer, he isn't aware of the compromise she said.. to let him study abroad alongside her brother.

If he thinks his success is on his merit, then she has no wish to burst that bubble anymore and let him be aware of the last story.

In the end, she doesn't need sympathy.. instead, love

"Yeah.. that should only concern me. After all, we aren't getting anymore and your life doesn't affect get affected by it." Amaira too replied in a scram manner which she wanted to just chop his head at this time.

It irritated her to another level where he was blaming her for everything in the pond.

Was it all her mistake? She doesn't think so.

They were silent, much closer to her university when Amaira wasn't able to stop herself from asking him.

"I heard that you had a girlfriend back abroad."

"Looks like the news has traveled in your ears about me. Right. I had many girls in my life, but until now all of them were flings.. from the start to this date."

Her eyes narrow slightly at his words. Does he even know what is he saying?

'Fling? Was I a fling too?'

Not like she knew if he was joking or speaking in reality. If only she had the hand to know.

"You haven't found anyone.. of your type till this time?" In return, Ryan smiled. The smile was full of mocking, "My type? In this world, there is nothing named as my type."

"At this stage, all I know is... live my life and that too at its fullest! Drink, have fun, and fuck! That is what I'm looking forward to from the past few years."

hearing this statement, made her kind of emotional. In return, Amaira lowered her face to hide this from him. The tears were on the edge of flowing out of her eyes yet she isn't interested to let him know about this.

"G..Good for you." was all that she said while looking out of the window, in the hope of arriving soon.

But Ryan's eyes averted to her side. From the corner of his eyes, he saw the turmoil of emotions which she was trying to hide under her face. 'Girl.. you think you can actually... be hidden from me?'

Clearing his throat, he said again, "What happened to you?"

"N-nothing.. I was just.. you know thinking about something." Only if Amaira can say that she has nothing to do with this man ever in her life.

How much she bore hatred for this person, who was constantly... trying to say that he was having there fun.

How much did she crave for him to appear before her yet that never happened. Never!

Soon her university came and she dropped out of the car as her back faced Ryan who was eying her from top to botom with a plague in his heart.

But then, he surely called her from behind. "Amaira!"

Turning around, she saw his face through the opened window to raise her eyebrows. "What now?"

"Don't mistake.. my kindness into something else.." taking a pause, his cold eyes gleamed even more. "There is nothing much possible between us anymore."

Hearing this, her lips turned into a straight line. "Don't worry, I will never think of that ever... You go ahead and enjoy, after all, we both belong to different worlds.."

With this, Amaira didn't give him a chance to say as she walked at the hurried space inside the campus.

Seeing her figure from the car itself, until she disappeared, a sigh escaped his mouth.

His grip on his steering wheel tightened when he thought, 'If only you knew about the truth... about me and my life in abroad..'
