The Hidden Wife Of The Cold CEO

Chapter 501: Jia Li is annoyed

Chapter 501: Jia Li is annoyed

“Mummy, I want chocolate.” Jasmine said to her mother in a soft tone. Jia Li was getting ready for work when her little daughter came running to her.

Jia Li who was sitting in front of the mirror and applying powder to her face, said to her, “It’s too early to ask for chocolate.”

“But Mommy I want some.” Jasmine insisted with a slight frown on her face.

Jia Li glanced at the little girl and said to her with a frown, “I said you can’t have any chocolate now!”

As her mother refused her again, Jasmine started to throw a tantrum. “Mummy! Chocolate!”

Jia Li looked annoyed at her daughter’s spoiled behavior, so she said to her while picking up her nude lipstick, “If you don’t stop crying by the time I finish applying this lipstick on my lips, I’m going to spank your ass.”

Instead of seizing her cries, Jasmine cried the more and sat on the floor while kicking her legs. The little girl was going all out to protest for the chocolates she wanted.

Jia Li did not say anything and continued to apply her lipstick. Being ignored was really painful, especially to the little girl that was seeking attention from her mother.

Fu Hua who just walked into the room with a tray, frowned when he heard his daughter’s cries. He was already dressed for work but he went down to get some tea for Jia Li and a milk porridge for his little daughter.

‘Why is Jasmine crying? Is she not with her mother?’ Fu Hua thought with a frown as he put the tray down before walking towards the inner room to find the mother and daughter.

When Jia Li finished applying her lipstick and Jasmine was still crying, she got up from the stool and dragged the crying little girl up and was ready to spank her ass when Fu Hua opened the door and walked in.

“What are you doing?” Fu Hua asked with an unbelievable expression on his face as he immediately rushed over and rescued his crying little princess from her angry mother.

Immediately Jasmine saw her father, she acted as if she has been bullied by her mother and rested her head in her father’s arms and cried out hysterically when he lifted her in his arms.

Jia Li rolled her eyes at the little girl’s drama and went back to sit on the stool.

Fu Hua tried to soothe his crying daughter by running his hand on her back before glancing at his annoyed wife to ask, “Did you hit her?”

“Not yet. I was just about to do that before you walked in.” Jia Li replied with her gaze on the mirror. She was busy looking at her makeup to see if it was perfect.

“Why would you want to hit her, she is still a baby?” Fu Hua asked with a frown.

“She is not a baby, she is a toddler. She asked for chocolate and I said she couldn’t have any now and she started crying. Your daughter is a little stubborn and it is only right to put her in the right place.” Jia Li replied and smacked her lips thereafter.

Fu Hua couldn’t believe his ears and the woman he was trying to have a conversation with.

“We are adults and we also act a little stubborn sometimes but most times, there is nobody to put us in the right place. Please don’t hit her, she is still too young for that.”

Fu Hua believed that since Jasmine didn’t get what she wanted, it was enough punishment for her and hitting her would be out of place.

Jia Li was annoyed at the father and daughter. Fu Hua just asked her not to hit their daughter when she did something wrong and this means that she does not have any right to hit her child again.

“Princess, don’t cry, okay. I will ask grandma to give you some chocolates later.” Fu Hua said to the little girl that was sniffing in his arms, before glancing at his angry wife to say, “I brought you breakfast, come out and eat before it turns cold.”

Jia Li did not respond and only watched the father and daughter leave the dressing room. While waiting for Jia Li to come out, Fu Hua placed the little girl on his thighs and began to feed her breakfast.

When Jia Li came out from the inner room, she walked past Fu Hua and went towards the door. When Fu Hua noticed that she was leaving without eating, he called her attention to the food.

“Sweetheart, where are you going to, your breakfast is here.”

Jia Li stopped in her steps and turned around to reply to him, “I’m not hungry” and then she opened the door and walked out, shutting the door behind.

Jia Li’s annoyance was quite known to Fu Hua. He was aware that she was angry because of what transpired in the dressing room and he would have loved to chase after her but glancing at his little princess who was still anticipating the next spoon of food he was to bring to her mouth, he couldn’t bear to abandon her.

Since he knew his wife was annoyed with him, Fu Hua called her to his office during lunch break, to have lunch together.

Jia Li thought he called her to his office for work purposes but when she got to his office and saw the different dishes on his work desk, she knew he had another agenda.

When Fu Hua saw her, he smiled and asked her to come and sit on the seat 💺 that was placed beside him.

‘Is this his way of apologizing?’ Jia Li thought as she followed his instruction to go and sit beside him.

After she sat beside him, Fu Hua started by saying, “I guess you were annoyed with me this morning because I asked you not to hit our daughter. I didn’t scold you but you got angry and abandoned the breakfast I brought for you, so I arranged this lunch for you.”
