The Greatest Sinner

Chapter 284 - The Prince, Second Version

X-shaped magma blade and a Reykar beam collapsed on the golden shield in an instant along with the vortex. Moreover, the purple vortex absorbed some of the magma blades and lit up in bright flames.

Crackling.

The golden shield could not withstand such an onslaught, and a few seconds later, there were many cracks in it.

Sara frowned and shouted loudly, "Defend yourselves!"

The next moment, the light mages cast a multitude of protective spells. Several stone, ice, and even iron walls and barriers appeared in front of them. But, there was nothing else they could do.

Boom.

There was a deafening explosion that shook the entire cave system. The tornado was destroyed, but the flaming blades of wind flew in all directions. They pierced several people and severely wounded them.

The protective walls were destroyed and the magma blades easily burned through the stone words of the cave.

However, although most of the mages were wounded, no one died. Evan's attack was incredibly powerful for a man who had just reached - Two-Pointed Star stage. But, his opponents were far from weak.

Each of them was a member of a very powerful light organization. Most of the light mages there were stronger than Evan, judging by their stages. Moreover, they had survived many dangerous battles and had great combat experience. Their equipment was also among the best. Many of them wore 3-star quality armor.

Sara put her palm to the floor and cast another spell. She understood that they could not fight Evan with such wounds. Potions could not heal such burns and cuts quickly enough. Sara had to deal with the problem herself.

Whooosh.

Suddenly a massive magical circle with a sun sign in the center appeared on the ground. It glowed brightly, and the wounds of the light mages began to heal gradually. But, two casts of such powerful spells in a row put a tremendous strain on Sara's body.

When the magic circle was gone, she was breathing heavily, and everything in front of her eyes was blurry. Healing a single scratch on a mage's body at the Two-Pointed Star stage was far more difficult than regrowing a limb for a mere human. The higher the strength of the creature, the more serious its wounds were compared to others.

It took Sara some time to recover, but she had accomplished her mission. To heal so many mages at the stage - Two-Pointed Star in just a couple of seconds - was quite an accomplishment.

"Attack!" A member of the Tear of Light said loudly, and a host of mages attacked Evan.

<Damn. At this rate, we're not getting anywhere. Reykar even used his special skill, but this girl was able to make things right. There's a reason she's a mage on the Two-Pointed Star stage with three flames. If she were weaker, it would not be normal. Okay, it's time to fight in earnest.> Evan thought and decided to activate one of the Sigils.

Before several spells were about to descend upon him, he muttered quietly, "Sigil 70 Demon - Prince Seere, level two, activation."

In an instant, Evan was in Nirvana, where the demon he had summoned was already waiting for him.

Prince Seere was still as incredibly handsome as ever. His snow-white skin, black hair, and green eyes gave him a noble aura. This time his horse was not with him. He floated serenely through space, and his hair fluttered to the sides.

"I need speed and strength. I must be as fast as lightning to kill them." Evan said calmly.

For most of the battle, Evan only dodged and couldn't attack properly because there were too many opponents. They wouldn't let Evan do anything. Only thanks to Reykar and his tornado was Evan able to make a powerful attack.

Whooosh.

Suddenly Prince Seere turned upside down and said, "Okay, show them how far the light is from noble. Five years."

Evan smiled, he hadn't expected the price to be so low.

<Mage on Stage - Two-Pointed Star is really on a whole other level. I thought I'd have to give at least ten years of my life.>

Even for an ordinary human, five years of my life was not a critical loss. It was quite a lot and tangible, but it was a trifle compared to twenty or thirty years. But, mages lived many times longer than humans.

After Evan broke through his third Barrier at the One-Pointed Star stage, his life expectancy increased to 650 years, not counting the sacrificed years of life. But, after he broke through the - Two-Pointed Star stage, his life expectancy increased significantly. It was now 900 years.

Given that sacrifice of five years, Evan had already sacrificed a total of 236 years of life. That was a lot, it could be compared to more than two ordinary human lives. But, compared to 900 years, it wasn't much. Even with that sacrifice, Evan still had 664 years of life left. With that much, he could, for now, not worry about dying because of the large number of victims.

"Good." Evan calmly replied, and the demon nodded.

The life force was sucked out of Evan, and the same hairpin appeared on his head as Prince Seere.

The hairpin looked like two raised wings, but they didn't signify angelic strength or a desire to approach the light. Those wings meant glory and nobility.

The next moment Evan emerged from Nirvana, and abundant demonic energy began to emanate from his body. Certain changes began to happen to Evan.

He became a little taller, and his hair became long enough to reach his waist. Moreover, his black hair turned white, and his amethyst eyes became lighter and brighter.

Hairpin glowed brightly, and to everyone present, Evan became a blurry blur. A white plume emanated from his hair, and Evan looked like a white lightning bolt.

He instantly dodged dozens of spells and blocked several attacks. It wasn't just the speed at which Evan could move from point to the point that increased. His reactions and reflexes also went to another level.

Whoooosh.

Evan turned into a blur once more, and a moment later, the heads of the three mages fell to the ground.
