The Greatest Sinner

The "Bloody Berserker" was at the end of its powers, it needed to drink some blood urgently. It chose Chloe as its target. The girl was closest to it, while Enni, Lars, and Evan were quite far away.

Thanks to Evan, Chloe had her sword again, she didn't have much strength left, but anyway she would be able to block the monster's blow. Initially Chloe wanted to run away, but when she saw the speed of the monster, she realized that she had no choice but to take the blow.

"It looks like we'll finally see the denouement soon and find out how it all ends. I hope one of them can kill the monster, it will be incredible!" The man in the platinum mantle said excitedly.

"Their teamwork`s pretty good. I think they were a little unlucky. If the "Bloody Berserker" hadn't gotten out of that trap, it'd be dead by now." The girl in the silver mantle said calmly.

"I think the girls rushed the attack for nothing. All they had to do, was stick together and wait for their opponent to fall without strength. Now almost all of them are wounded and far away from each other. We may not have a winner this time." 

"I agree, but I want to draw your attention to the fact that the "Bloody Berserker" is a very serious opponent. It was weakened, but when you`re fighting it, you have to be careful not to get any wounds or your chances of winning will become much less."

"Draven, what do you think? Will they kill the "Bloody Berserker" or will they lose?" Arabella was curious about Draven's opinion.

Draven calmly replied, "It all depends on individual performance. The "Bloody Berserker" is unlikely to allow them to attack it all together again, which is why it attacked Chloe. It will try to get rid of the only one who can stop it for a while."

"And what about you, Arve? Do you believe they will win?" Arabella asked Arve`s opinion.

Arve said thoughtfully: "If nothing changes and they lose Chloe, they certainly won't win. If the "Bloody Berserker" drinks some blood, it'll be full of energy again, but as for them, they'll lose a valuable ally. Moreover, the contestants are gradually approaching their limit. With each passing minute they have less strength and less mana, and they have already had some wounds."

Arve spoke slowly and calmly, as if he wasn't at all interested in this duel. But, in fact, he was paying close attention to every person in the arena, he was very pleased with the performance of this year's competitors.  The "Bloody Berserker" was a very formidable opponent, which meant that against him it was necessary to show all his abilities.

Not a few seconds later, the "Bloody Berserker" rushed towards Chloe and attacked the girl. Chloe's sword was immediately covered in a thick layer of stone.

Whoosh.

The monster struck a vertical blow, but the girl didn't block it. She quickly jumped aside and waited for the next blow. Chloe wasn't about to repeat her previous mistakes and lose her sword. Her comrades wouldn't get to her until some time later, she needed to hold out for at least ten seconds.

Bam.

Suddenly the "Bloody Berserker" turned and swung again. The girl tried to dodge, but the edge of the sword grazed her left arm. It was a shallow cut, but it bled all the same.

<Damn! Chloe thought to herself and tried to run away from the monster.

When the "Bloody Berserker" saw the scarlet blood slowly flowing on the girl's hand, it got mad.

Crack.

The ground beneath the monster's feet cracked and he reached the girl at lightning speed. Now it didn`t want to kill her, but to drink her blood.

Swing.

The "Bloody Berserker" swung its sword. Chloe tried to dodge, but just as she was about to do so, she felt a sharp pain in her arm.

The sword blade left another cut on the girl's arm, many times larger than the previous one. Blood quickly gushed from it, and a moment later, the red droplets began to fall to the ground.

Chloe realized that the situation had turned out in the most horrible way possible. She tried to get away from the monster, but at that moment, the "Bloody Berserker" was much faster than she was.

Bam.

Half a second after the previous attack, the monster struck again - it attacked Chloe in the stomach with lightning speed. Its palm like a sharp blade went through the girl's flesh and a huge amount of blood rushed to the ground at the same moment.

Whoosh.

At the same second, Golem appeared beside Chloe and swiftly carried the girl to safety. The "Bloody Berserker" didn't even notice Golem's appearance. All its attention was focused only on the purple liquid it was greedily drinking.

With each drop, his muscles grew thicker, and the terrible wound in its side began to heal. Just a little longer and it would be at its best.

Whoosh.

Fortunately, while the "Bloody Berserker" hadn`t drunk all the blood yet, Enni, Lars, and Evan had already gotten to the monster.

Bam.

Enni attacked first. Her fiery fist came down on the monster, but the "Bloody Berserker" managed to react and blocked the girl's strike. However, Enni was just a bait.

Boom.

Suddenly there was a deafening explosion. Lars came from the other side and attacked with the "Blast of the Edge". Lars was aiming for the weakly protected spot, namely the armpit. It was there that there was a small gap that was not protected by armor. Lars had intended to take advantage of this earlier, but there was still no good moment to do so.

With numerous burns all over his body, Lars flew backwards and was immediately picked up by Golem. The young man was at his limit, he had no strength or mana left. Lars could no longer continue to fight.

The monster had also got very serious wounds. Part of its arm was torn to shreds and the blood was flowing inexorably.

After the monster blocked Enni's blow, the girl immediately attacked again. At this point, the "Bloody Berserker" was in agony from the terrible pain in the arm. Enni was sure that this was a good moment to attack.

Bam. 

The girl attacked, but suddenly she was confronted by the monster's bloodshot eyes. The "Bloody Berserk" missed Enni's powerful blow, but it also attacked back.

Enni's fiery fist collapsed on its armor, while Bloody Berserk brought its sword down the girl.

In the same second, a fountain of blood poured from the girl's neck. It was unknown if the monster had intended it originally or if it was a simple coincidence, but with its attack it severed the girl's carotid artery.

The Golem immediately appeared behind Enni and carried her off the battlefield, while the "Bloody Berserker" was greedily gulping down the massive amount of blood that entered its mouth.

Whoosh.

Suddenly the monster felt a deadly chill. A snow-white blade covered in blue ice cut through the flesh of its right arm. The next moment the monster's hand fell to the blood-soaked ground.
