The Extra's Survival

Chapter 93 - 2-Star Vs D Rank[2]

Under the intense heat of the dazzling sun, following the calmly flowing river, a group was hurrying their way towards the north staying close to the river.

After running for almost hours, the vegetation started to change, the trees around the forest started to become smaller and smaller and now mainly bushes were seen around.

They heard the splashing of water as a small cliff was formed with a waterfall.

Standing on the cliff, Fredrick finally got a glimpse of the fortress which was surrounded by walls from all sides.

Just a few miles and they can finally be safe.

Fredrick glanced back at the students following him. Except for him, everyone was in pitiful condition.

They were panting heavily being out of breath. Thier muscle has become sore from running all the way here without taking a single break.

Some have been so tired that they were even finding it hard, to lift their leg to move forward. The fear of death following them behind had pushed them to overcome their limits.

Mustering there with every bit of energy they had, they dragged their tired bodies.

When the blade of death is hanging on your head. Even a cornered mouse will try his best till his last breath to stay alive.

They have been tired, their clothes have been tattered drenched in a swear. For nobles enduring this kind of ragged conditions was quite hard to believe still, not one of them had protested or tried to nitpick.

This honestly surprised Fredrick after all he knew very well how the nobles nag at every little thing.

Maybe this was because most of the egoistical bastards have fled leaving behind these servile, docile ones or may be facing the death-like situations that had made them understand to see the world new light.

Moreover, each one of them was stunned to know Lucas stayed behind to buy time for them. They felt sincere admiration for Lucas.

Before coming here, many of them criticised him, looked down upon him and talked behind his back. But after what Lucas had done for them, they vowed that if Lucas came back alive, they would bow down and beg for his forgiveness, for all the insulting things they have spoken about him.

“We can take a break here. We are out of danger. So we replenish our strength for a bit.” Fredrick spoke in a loud voice.

Everyone’s expression which was filled with despair changed and they rejoice for getting out of that situation.

Some of their eyes were numb as they bit their lips and shed some tears.

Fredrick looked at them and his gaze softened a little and his eyes moistened. Even if he was acting strong, he was still a teenage boy facing a life-threatening situation for the first time.

Rose tried to hold back her tears but like a dam bursting, her tears flowed out of her eyes as they were finally able to get out of the place.

Fredrick rubbed his eyes and wiped the tears and took out his phone to see the signal was back.

He pressed and called the Academy, wishing for Lucas’s safety inwardly.

Ring…Ring…Ring.

After ringing several times, finally, someone picked up the call.

“Hello.”

……..

The fire was burning all around. The corpses served as their fuel. The land which used to be flat was now full of many cracks and craters.

The remaining warriors were looking at the battle unfolding from the sidelines. After seeing the strength of humans. They knew none of them to have the chance to beat the person who unleashed the destruction.

So, they tried to drag on the battle, surrounding him in numbers wishing for the human to exhaust his strength

But, the human fighting them, miraculously not only was able to survive till now, but he also didn’t seem to run out of mana and was slaughtering them endlessly.

If not for the appearance of the valiant warrior of their tribe. Their lineup would have been slaughtered.

The entire battlefield looked like a canvas. If one looked from the above, he may find that the painting is done with green blood colour paint.

Red flames, green crimson blood, red colour roasted burning bodies of the goblin have served their purpose in making the painting of the war and at the centre of the canvas, two figures were still fighting.

This will be the fighting that will decide their fate. The fate of the surviving goblins.

The huge D rank goblin looked at a huge fireball coming down towards it, illuminating the whole sky before it but it didn’t feel any threat not any sense of emergency.

With a loud howl, he swung his hammer towards the fireball but the fireball dropping on it exploded and burst into countless small flames and a light flashed before it.

The bright sparkling light blinded him for a moment. He closed his eyes for a moment as its brain was unable to process the signal of such shining light.

As his vision blinded, the image of Lucas who was falling into the sky disappeared and two daggers appeared near the neck of the huge goblin.

Lucas didn’t want to drag this fight. The more he fought, the more disadvantageous he would be.

He carefully bound his rings in one of the handles of the dagger. Using telekinesis he can even light it up from afar just by manipulating a lot bit of mana.

The fireball was just a cover for this move as he surrounded the dagger by the fire waiting for the perfect opportunity to use his ring.

As the fireball exploded, he activated the ring which gave a blinding flashlight that blinded the vision of the goblin for a moment.

So, now Lucas was going for a kill.

Tightening his grip on the dagger, putting his leg on the goblin’s back to support his weight. He pulled the dagger to cut its throat.

The goblin even though is blinded, felt the incoming cut of the dagger and swung his elbow.

Lucas didn’t mind the elbow and cut the throat but before he could cut it fully, the elbow hit him hard in the gut.

BANG!

With a loud bang, Lucas flew off in the air and slammed on the ground.

His body slid on the ground for a few distances leaving behind a trail of cracks and rolled on the ground until Lucas used his strength to get back his body balance and stopped himself from further rolling digging his hand in the ground like a claw and coughing a few mouths fills with blood.

“Cough.Cough..” He spews some blood unable to hold it in.

Lucas wiped off the blood from his lips and stood up holding his gut. If not for the battle suit, he would be really in a difficult situation now.

Moreover, the strength of the goblin is a whole major realm higher than him. Lucas may be able to hold on until now because the goblin speed was quite too close to his but the strength difference between him and the green head is quite large.

So, any confrontation with

the goblin is lethal for him.

He looked in the direction of the goblin who was holding its neck, trying to press on its wound to stop the flow of blood.

Though Lucas wasn’t able to kill it in a single blow, the cut on his throat was quite deep and dark blood spurted from it.

“Wait. dark.Blood.” Lucas frowned as he noticed the colour of the blood.

“Isn’t their colour of blood different? Don’t they usually have green colour blood?”Lucas spoke as he was stunned at the sudden discovery.

He had been too engrossed in the fight to notice this but now as he noticed the colour of the blood. His previous worry of these goblins being abnormal compared to others was finally proved true.

‘ I have to get out of here. This damn place, there’s something wrong here.’Lucas muttered inwardly as his sword started to glow in red.

But this human has proven it wrong. Not only did the puny human has given him a life-threatening wound. He was also on the verge of killing it.

If it reacted a little late, it would lie on the death bed now.

” Leng angr kicch opiycu thillkka najsoks actrrs.”[Punny human, how dare you threaten me? I will kill you and rip every single limb of your body.]The goblin roared and spoke some words in its language that Lucas was unable to understand.

But he knew since the goblin had said it, it must something of a threat.

Lucas’s dagger flew back towards him as he poured all its mana on its sword for the final strike, the killing strike.

He was going to bet everything on this strike.

The blade of the sword started to burn at a high temperature and the surroundings started to heat up as the water vapours were started to form as the air touched the blade.

The goblin’s eyes shrank as his eyes looked at the pressure that was emanating from the blade.

“Flash steps.”

Lucas spoke and his image disappeared and appeared directly before the goblin.

The goblin saw him and gave a mocking smile and raised his hammer to swing as if signalling Lucas that he had delivered himself to the death door.

He raised his left hand and the transparent jewel embed ring on his index finger started to glow and a flash of light was formed.

The goblin frowned as his vision blurred and Lucas’s figure immediately appeared behind him.

Lucas’s eyes flashed in coldness as he raised his crimson sword and slashed directly on the top of the goblin.
