The Extra's Survival

Chapter 88 - Confrontation[3]

Fredrick leapt in the air and thrust his spear aiming at the 4-Star goblin.

From the tip of the spear tearing the air, a huge dragon rose from and clashed with the hammer which was swung by the goblin with its full strength.

At first glance, both of them looked on equal footing but the goblin was started to get pushed back.

Fredrick roared to summon all his strength, spark emitted from thier collision and huge light arc emitted from it which made the other’s vision blind followed by the deafening roar of the explosion that sounded like the dragon’s cry.

Booooom.

The thunder dragon that emerged from Fredrick’s spear passed through the goblin which created a mini narrow ravine of several meters deep.

The attack didn’t stop here and killed many E rank goblins behind it. As the flash of light disappeared, only black charred bodies of goblins were left behind.

The mage was able to repel the thunder using its magic spells but still, Fredrick’s attack had caused it some internal energy.

Seeing the goblin mage alive, Fredrick’s spear once again started to glow with blue lightning.

While Fredrick was gathering mana to attack for a second time, Lucas frowned seeing Fredrick pushing himself to this extent.

His previous was so much terrifying that it took down a D rank monster in one strike. While thunder’s cry of the dragon was packed with a huge amount of power but the toll it took on Fredrick was nothing to scoff at for now.

The previous attack ahd took a toll on him and now this madman was trying to repeat the attack, the consequences would be quite dire.

Lucas suppressing his injury shouted, “Fredrick stop it.”

But Lucas’s plea falls deaf in Fredrick’s ear. If they wanted to get out of alive, he have to finish it off.

Fredrick charged toward the mage stomping the ground and again thrust his spear aiming at the mage.

Seeing the same attack that took down its member quite easily, the mage panicked and summoned a huge fireball and attacked Fredrick.

The pale orange fireball, which looked like a small mini sun, whizzed towards Fredrick emitting a hissing noise.

Fredrick was unfazed in front of the D rank spell which was enough to wipe out half of the total numbers present out there.

Fredrick gritted his teeth ignoring the pain, he felt pain in his internal as he gathered mana to attack for the second time.

Fredrick’s spear’s thrust punched a hole through the huge fireball that came before him. The frightening dragon made of lightning tore the huge fireball from the middle by puncturing a hole in it.

The fireball attack cast the mage burst like the bubble of fire and turned into many flurries of sparks and the huge pressure of the dragon swapped past through the fireball and smashed with the mage.

Booooomm.

A huge crater was formed followed by a huge shockwave of the explosion, the trees surrounding the place withered by the explosion followed by blinding flash illuminating the area for a split second.

The surrounding temperatures went up by a margin, the students who were near the front took a few steps back unable to endure the burst of flames.

Seeing the power of the Fredrick strike, Lucas could find only one word to describe it.

‘Badass.’

The attack was 10..No 100 times stronger compared to the one Lucas had seen in the spear club and it will be going to get stronger with Fredrick.

As the sparks of light disappeared, everyone looked in disbelief as the attack had evaporated the remains of the goblin mage without leaving a piece of it.

The entire hoard of goblins was wiped out single handily by Fredrick alone.

Moreover, it took just two strikes from Fredrick to clear away the battlefield.

Fredrick was standing leaning against the spear. His face was as pale as a sheet of paper. He looked as if he lost half of his blood.

He tries his best to hold on to the repercussion of previous skills but he wasn’t able to hold on.

His legs gave in as his vision turned blurry, he coughed blood as blood trickled from his nose and mouth and with a small thud, he fell.

“Fredrick,” Rose shouted as he ran towards Fredrick to support him.

Parth and many others followed by Gracia ran towards Fredrick hurriedly.

Fredrick’s collapse was a huge blow to their hope. Without Fredrick, there was no way they would be able to survive this long.

Seeing Fredrick knocked unconscious, Rose sat beside her and lifted his head to her lap and took out a potion and moved the mouth of the tube near Fredrick’s lips.

Fredrick’s mind was too messed up to mind about the situation as he laid awareness lap.

Fredrick mustering his last bit of consciousness took a sip of potion and as he felt slightly better, he gulped down the potion.

After taking the potion, he felt slightly better but still, the potion wasn’t able to heal him fully.

Overexerting himself not only cause him to suffer internal damage but the remaining energy of lightning is going on a rampage in his body and he was feeling numb in his arm with which he held the spear.

Cry of dragon required one to be highly proficient in controlling lightning and since Fredrick still lacked in that aspect, he electrocuted himself and he was now forcefully suppressing his injury.

Rose looked worriedly at Fredrick as the potion didn’t have much effect. The potion they all got were just low-level potions and they hadn’t brought higher level potions.

Garcia also tried to use her healing skill but to no avail.

“Sorry, I am useless. My skills aren’t sufficient to heal him.” Garcia spoke as tears started to slide down.

Though Fredrick’s life wasn’t in danger for now who can know about the future. She was worried about Fredrick and cursed herself for being unable to help.

“It’s okay. You all have tried your best. That’s what matters the most.” Fredrick gave a gentle smile.

While Fredrick was being treated, Parth gathered the students and formed an outer perimeter of students surrounding him.

Lucas who looked at the sidelines sighed. He also got a small internal injury, he can feel an organ in his gut is ruptured.

Since Fredrick alone handled the monsters, he needn’t make a move and thought he will wait for it to heal for a while and then use an intermediate potion.

But seeing Fredrick’s condition, he had to waste some precious exp.

Walking towards Rose holding his gut, Lucas took out a potion and handed it to Rose.

Rose was confused seeing Lucas giving potions after all Fredrick’s condition was too worse to heal with this portion.

“What? Take it.” Lucas spoke seeing Rose dazed off.

“Thanks, but these low-grade potions don’t have any major effect on him,” Rose explained Lucas.

“The potion is a high-grade potion. With it, he will be good as he is before.” Lucas spoke.

“What.”

“How.”

Everyone was stunned to see Lucas offering high-grade potions. A high grade cost more than 100 million. Even those who belong to the noble house don’t carry high-grade potions with them and even if they had, they wouldn’t hand them to anyone normally.

“Lucas, tell me it isn’t a joke.” Rose’s voice shuttered.

Parth on the other side was so shocked that his jaw dropped on the ground. He felt as if his common sense shattered.

‘Just why is he pretending to be poor, if he had so much money.’Parth muttered inwardly.

Rose took the potion from Lucas and brought it near Fredrick’s lips.

As Fredrick gulped the potion, a warm refreshing feeling engulfed his whole body. His pale face started to regain its colour as blood started to circulate.

Fredrick felt as if he is reborn, full of vitality. Having healed he stood up and looked at Lucas with a complicated gaze not knowing what to say.

Before he opened his mouth to speak, Lucas spoke”You don’t need to thank me. If you want to repay me, just pay me for my loss.”

Lucas’s words eased the tensed atmosphere and Fredrick chuckled.

“Sure. I will also give you an extra commission for it.”

“Now let’s move. We already have wasted quite a time.” Fredrick spoke as his expression turned serious.

As he turned back to see Rose, his face turned red thinking about the previous awkward situation.

He could still remember Rose’s fragrance when she held her.

Rose blushed slightly and averted Fredrick, not knowing what to say.

Cough.Cough.

“Rose thank you for the care,” Fredrick spoke to ease the atmosphere between them.

But his words made it more awkward and he was more embarrassed than before.

Rose just gave a brief nod but if one looked carefully it will be noticed that her ears had a tint of redness.

With this everyone marched and moved forward.

Fredrick was about to take his position but felt something was odd and turned back to see Lucas standing in his place without moving and he was looking at the back of the village.

“Lucas, what are you doing? We have to get out of here quickly before another batch of these monsters come.”

Instead of answering Lucas threw three tubes and a big black mechanical ball at Fredrick.

Fredrick caught the things, Lucas threw instinctively and glanced at Lucas back with confusion.

“Fredrick, you guide the other students. I will slow them down. If we just moved, these assholes will keep tracking us and sneak attack on us unless we get out of their territory.” Lucas spoke casually.

Fredrick frowned and asked, “Lucas, have you gone mad?”
