The Extra's Survival

Chapter 197:Exitus:TheForthcoming Of The End[2]

Lucas’s intrigue was picked as he heard Fredrick’s story about the native of this world fighting against the otherworldly invaders.

Lucas didn’t get much information about the invaders, but at least he learned about many things from their talk, which satisfied him.

“So, were we able to defeat them and drive away from the invaders from the world,” Lucas asked.

“In a way, we were able to win the war but we suffered a huge loss,” Fredrick spoke and smiled bitterly.

“Later, near the end of the war, we came to know that the ones we were fighting against, were just cannon fodder and they have been sent by their Lord to see our power structure and disrupt our world. From the beginning, both the invaders and our fight with them were just a test for him to know the strength of our world.”

“He didn’t intend to win over the world in just a fellow sweep rather he would bid his time to do this and all of his soldiers were disposable.”

“From certain memory, I came to know that he had the strength similar to God and this world restricts him from entering. So, he planned to cause chaos and devastation slowly and steadily to weaken this world’s laws so that he can ascend here and take over the world and create his own path and harness it to reach a stronger realm.”

“Still you need to know, the world laws are weaking for some reason. The end will be coming if this goes one.”

Lucas nodded as he felt that Fredrick’s spear could perceive about the world’s laws.

‘What an asshole.’Lucas muttered as he thought about it.

‘You are already at the top of your world but no, this asshole got no chills and wanted to invade another world to get stronger. Can’t he just sit in his home and play with his children and wives if he has any why the hell waste time in this mind of bulshit.’

Moreover, this type of enemy was quite hard to play with.

Armies are not made within a day. It is nurtured with your sweat and blood, but for that Lord of the invader, his army was just a disposable means which he can get rid of according to his wish.

Lucas didn’t even want to think about how that bastard raised such an army.

“Did he make an appearance or take a shot?” Lucas asked with a stern expression.

Hearing Lucas’s words, Fredrick sighed with a grief-stricken face and spoke, “He didn’t make a direct move, but what he did, seal everyone’s fate giving us a fatal blow and the aftermath is still lingering now.”

“You, me and everyone else are still suffering due to his last move,” Fredrick spoke solemnly.

“What!” Lucas shouted while getting up from his seat, he looked at Fredrick with shock and disbelief.

“What do you mean that I and you are also suffering?” Lucas asked with a cautious expression.

“All the death that had happened during the war was enough for him to perform a sacrificial ritual and with all the life essence at his disposal, he cast a continental level curse on our entire world.”

“By the way, I don’t know what continental level is?”

“What is the curse?” Lucas asked with a distorted expression as he felt his heartbeat had hastened by a huge margin.

“Blood Suppression,” Fredrick muttered.

Fredrick’s words rang like thunder in Lucas’s ears.

‘Bloodline Suppression. I see.’Lucas muttered inwardly as if he was somewhat familiar with the term.

“The curse that their Lord cast was to weaken human and all other species talent who was born in the next generation making their body weak.”

“It’s like this. If there is a genius who had a potential of 90/100, he would potential would be lowered to 40-60 and those who had low potential, their already potential would be pummeled to negligible making them useless and trash.”

“The only ray of sunshine was those who had achieved Half God realm,” Fredrick spoke and explained further.

“From there the people’s potential had been divided into grades.”

“People who had achieved false god gave birth to children whose potential had been measured as a diamond bloodline.”

“Demi-God gave birth to platinum.”

“Transcendence gave birth to golden.”

“7-10 Star gave birth to silver.”

“Below them gave birth to the ones with bronze potential and those who were at 1Star or 2 Star realm, they gave birth to children with low or no potential as you might now having no bloodline.”

“The answer was simple, the bloodline ability was the power blessed to humans by God during their fight.”

“Most of us who have diamond bloodline is the descendant of people who were able to reach False God stage and has the strong ability.”

“Moreover, the bloodline grade had a significant change in lowering if a lower bloodline grade person married a higher bloodline grade person.”

“And with the passage of generation, the bloodline power we inherited became thinner and thinner and since most of the nobles had higher grade bloodline, they married higher status people to stop the bloodline from declining which result in the present status quo where nobles thought that commoners are just worthless trash.”

“It was just a misunderstanding of the nobles who always show to others how high and mighty they are,” Fredrick spoke.

“Hush!” Lucas leaned back on the sofa and spoke, “It was quite a heavy and mind-blowing talk.”

“By the way, should we tell this to our group,” Lucas asked, trying to see Fredrick’s expression.

Fredrick’s expression stiffened a bit on hearing Lucas’s words as he didn’t know what to say about it.

He didn’t tell him all those things to Lucas simply because Lucas asked about it; rather, he was trying to test Lucas.

Since his spear said that Lucas carried a bit of divinity similar to God’s, he narrated these things to see whether Lucas knew about it and tried to notice a change in Lucas’s expression.

But seeing Lucas’s expression during the conversation, Fredrick can only say one thing.

Either Lucas was an excellent actor who could hide his emotions even at a micro level, or he didn’t know about anything and he mostly believed in the latter, moreover, there was another thing about it.

Lucas’s bloodline ability.

Since Lucas had a bronze bloodline ability, he shouldn’t have a bloodline ability, but Fredrick, after fighting Lucas, was sure that he had a bloodline ability which amplifies his strengths. Still, he feels as if his bloodline ability is on the verge of awakening slowly and if Lucas keeps trying, he may be able to awaken whatever bloodline ability he had.

Oblivious to Fredrick’s though, Lucas was lost in his thoughts.

“By the way, Fredrick didn’t other races like Elves, Dwarves or that Demon who might have fought against invaders get the curse. Did they have something like bloodline some time?” Lucas asked after pondering for some time

“First of all, I am not hundred percent sure about it after all I am just a tiny ant who stumbled upon a piece of lead and only knows a little bit about it.”

“Most of the Elf’s power is derived from mother nature so even if they are suppressed, their restriction can be lifted by a bit. As you know there is nothing called bloodline in the real sense it was just with the development of science and genetics people studied that away.”

“Moreover, you might not know but The World can help one to increase his potential or lose his curse.” Fredrick.

“Ohhh!I see.” Lucas spoke with a surprised expression while thinking inwardly.

‘I already knew about the World Tree upgrading the bloodline. Fredeick upgrading his bloodline had got to do with these things. Still what a shocking revelation ‘Lucas thought inwardly.

This world-shattering news was enough to make everyone lose their sense of belief.

“I don’t know much about dwarves as you know, they mostly invested in their own work rather than minding other business so I don’t much about their power level but if I can make a guess, I think the grade of their artifact would surely have decreased. If previously they could craft artifacts at Transcendence level, now they can only craft them at a low level which is quite detrimental after all if suddenly a transcendence level out of nowhere appeared we are going to die without any protective means…..” Fredrick spoke and smiled bitterly.

“But everything changed in the case of demons,” Fredrick spoke sternly while his eyes became sharp.

“Those assholes’ nature somewhat change. Though demons like to rampage but never in their whole history have they tried to wage war on such scale whose after-effects are still lingering, after all we are still at war with demons.”

“By the way, demons have a bloodline system of their own. Ancestor bloodline, Royal bloodline, noble bloodline and common bloodline.”

“Yeah, I know about that,” Lucas spoke nonchalantly and rubbed his chin.

“Fredrick you said that demons started to mess around and waged war around the whole world to subdue other races. And going by the way things happened just after the invaders were defeated. Don’t you think it sounds fishy?” Lucas asked with a questioning gaze.

“I don’t know Lucas. I know you are suspicious of demons colliding with the invaders but as far as I know in the war against invaders, demons contributed a lot and fought more fiercely than any other races.”

“After all you know their nature. Fighting satisfies them.” Fredrick spoke.

“What if someone controlled the demon,” Lucas spoke, much to Fredrick’s surprise.
