THE CEO AND ME!

Chapter 127 - "YEAH...GET IN..."

"You are two minutes late."

The moment, John and Madison stepped inside the aeroplane, they heard Lana's voice.

"I know...I had to wait for a companion."

John replied and Lana looked up from her magazine, sitting on the comfy seat and saw her brother, behind him the woman, she loved.

Her mouth hung open, not being able to believe her eyes, what she was looking at.

Madison smiled at her, awkwardly, afraid that Lana would behave rudely asking her to get the hell out of the plane.

That was the last thing she would do, not when she had a real chance to make this alright.

"The flight is ready to fly. Please tighten your seat belts. We will land in Hawaii in five hours exactly. "

The Pilot declared through the intercom and John sat opposite to Lana, tightening up his belt, while Madison stood there ideally, staring at Lana.

"Sit down, Ms Maria"

He said to which Madi nodded and sat beside the seat of Lana. She fumbled with her seat belt and Lana sighed, stepping on to help her, leaning near her.

John looked away from them as the plane took off. He could not see it...see them so cosy.

He was aware of the fact that Madi was only acting to not know how to tighten her seat belt.

To get Lana close to her and she was successful. She was already working her ways in to warm up back in his sister's heart.

And his naive sister would be falling for her head over heels in no time just like he did.

The air hostess stepped inside to greet them, state the weather in Hawai and asked if they needed something.

"Two cream coffees."

Madi ordered and turned to look at Lana.

"I remember it helped you while flying."

She mumbled and Lana could not consume the fact that all these years and she still remembered about it.

John saw everything unfolding right in front of him. He fisted his palms, not wanting to be here at all at this moment.

The air hostess nodded to Madi and Lana and turned her attention to John who had yet to order his refreshment.

"And what about you, Sir?"

"One cold whisky!"

John said, looking away to the outside white clouds and it made his sister glance at him, concerned.

"When did consuming alcohol became refreshment?"

She questioned. The air hostess patiently waited if John would change his mind. Both she and Madi watched the brother and sister having a conversation.

"I had a rough day, ok? Delta. Chill!!"

He let out and Lana rolled her eyes at him for being an annoying ass. The air hostess stepped out to get their orders.

In a few minutes, the air hostess came again and handed Lana and Madi their cream confess and John his glass of cold whisky.

Not being able to watch her brother getting drunk in the daylight, she stood up and headed inside the bedroom back in the plane.

Madi watched Lana going away and did not know if she should follow her or give her some privacy.

She had already stepped inside their plane without her notice, intruding on the privacy of both the brother and the sister.

"Being overdramatic as always."

John muttered, rolling his eyes, taking a sip of his cold whisky from his glass. Madi peeked at him, getting drunk.

"She does not like you drinking?"

She questioned. John chuckled at that, tilting his head to look back at her.

"Lately, she has been not liking anything that I do."

He replied and somewhere in the middle, Madi could relate that it was because of her.

She was the reason he and his sister were having unspoken fights and it did not sit well with her one bit.

By everything that he did, or had done so far, she could tell how much he loved his sister and cared about her even when she had ended up humiliating him a few nights ago.

But she was helpless. She was in a position where she could not help any of them and could not even let go of this chance either.

"I think I will go to the back to join her."

Madi asserted, getting up from her seat. There was no more need to tighten the seat belt.

"Do whatever you wish to do."

John excused her away uninterested and continued gulping the whisky down his throat.

Madi shrugged and walked to the back and stopped on reaching the door. She very softly knocked on it and heard a faint 'come in after a little while.

Madi opened the door and saw Lana sitting on the Queen sized bed, staring at the plain white wall.

"Hey!"

"Hey?"

Lana greeted back not sure why she was here. She thought it to be her brother but then Madison was already inside, closing the door behind her.

"I...uhh...I m sorry for appearing out of nowhere."

Madi apologized to which Lana nodded, not speaking out anything or showing disapproval about it anymore.

"Well not like you can get rid of me now so up in the air!"

Madi joked, walking closer to the bed and sat beside Lana, a small distance between them.

"I still can ask the pilot to throw you out."

Lana chuckled, turning to look at Madi.

"And kill me for breaking your heart and no one would even know about it...nice plan!!"

Madi kidded and in a second gap, they both ended up laughing at each other's jokes.

In the midway, Madi stopped to glance at Lana laughing. It was such a refreshing sight. It had been ages since she saw and heard Lana laugh.

Lana stopped laughing when she noticed Madi's intense gaze over her. She felt self-conscious and nervous under it.

Madi raised her right hand to slid one of her strands of hair behind her ear and Lana shivered under her touch as her fingers brushed with her cold ears.

Lana tilted to look at her and both of their eyes interlocked with each other. Madi could see herself in her grey orbs and so did, Lana who could stare at her reflection in Madi's chocolate brown pupils.

The moment seemed to have frozen down as they continued to glance into each other's souls without a stop, not hearing the sound of the door unlocking just when they were about to get closer.

"What the...??"

John gasped, did not bother to knock at the door to open and came inside to a view like that.

Both Madi and Lana broke out of their moment and turned to look at John. Madi's cheeks painted red when hers and his eyes fell upon each other.

"You know people knock before barging inside a room?"

Lana annoyedly pointed it out to her brother, who could not help from parting his eyes off from Madi.

"Yeah...sorry...sorry about that."

He stammered and headed back out, closing the door behind him. He forgot why had he gone inside in the first place.

He sighed when he realized that it would not be long before they would rekindle their love, back where they had left and he would be left alone...alone with his unrequited love.

He walked back to his seat and ordered for another whiskey. Four more hours to fly and he could not wait to be out of here, in the same space as them...as her and head to the hotel, locking himself in his suite and burn in agony and pain.

Moments later, Madi and Lana joined him back. They both sat in their original places and remained silent for the entire journey.

John dozed off and Lana got busy checking her phone out. Madi got bored of the long journey.

She was not used to just sitting ideally and not doing on long flights. She was used to working things out when Kian and her would fly to different places for work.

And finally, when the plane was about to land, the pilot again asked them to tighten their seat belt for the landing.

In a short while, they had landed safely. Eric was quick to get the luggage out and instruct the guards to take them to their destined hotel.

John strode forward to get on his Mercedes when Madi walked up to him. He stopped on his way.

"I know you will be driving to a sight as Lana told me and not straight to the hotel...so can I join you as I have a little shopping to do??"

She asked, hoping he would agree. He was not expecting that at all. He saw Lana riding off with her assistant in her Range Rover straight to the

hotel, leaving Madi and him alone.

Even though after everything that had happened, he wanted to be as far away he could from get but did he have a choice then and not give her a ride??

"Yeah...get in."
