THE CEO AND ME!

Chapter 126 - "LETS GO?"

The morning sun was shining brightly outside and the momma bird was feeding her little baby birds, sitting on the branch of the tree so peacefully as the baby birds would chirp, opening their beaks for more food.

"Tinsley, the coffee is getting cold."

That made her turn her head from watching the bird family back to her husband, who was staring at her, concerned.

"Huh?"

She did not catch what he just said. He sipped on his coffee from the mug, reading the news from the iPad.

"Your coffee... it's getting cold."

He pointed to her again. She nodded understanding. She picked the mug up from the kitchen counter and started sipping slowly.

Kian could see how lost she had been all these days. It had been more than three days and still, the circumstances were no better.

When they were done, she collected the plates and mugs and walked towards the sink to wash them clean.

He could tell she had been avoiding him...avoiding his stares, looks and talks.

She was the kind of person who could not go without talking. She distasted silence. She had told him about that. And he remembered it all too well that it was the only thing that made her afraid and anxious.

Once done, she started wiping the counter clean. He observed all her actions with close eyes.

"Are you alright?"

His question hit her off-guard. She looked up at him, opening her mouth to answer him but then closed it, not knowing what to do and how to reply to him.

Was she alright??

It was very obvious that she was not. She still could not dare up to tell him the truth yet.

And it was killing her from inside for having to keep it all inside of her, slowly and painfully hurting inside, crawling in the darkness, afraid to face the light day by day.

And before she could give him a proper answer, the car honked and it was her cue to leave as Madison was here.

She had decided to resume her cooking lessons and Kian approved it. So Madi was here to pick her up.

"I...I need to go."

She said to which he did not respond right away. He kept seated on the high stool, watching her complexion.

"Yeah...sure."

He mouthed after a while and she nodded. She moved around to head out but he stopped her, pulling her close to him, holding her arm.

He leaned in and kissed her soft lips. She closed her eyes, forming a fist on either side.

"Take care!"

He mumbled, pecking her lips one more time. She smiled at him, nodding and then turning around to go.

He breathed in and sighed, not loving these silent Tinsley at all. She was not even returning his kisses.

He had not touched her for three straight days and that was the longest he had gone without making love to her.

It felt different. She felt different, so stiff under his arms as if he were a stranger. He missed her...his Tinsley.

"Hey??"

He tilted his head to see her standing before him with a sweet, enchanting smile.

She bowed and pecked his lips softly, pulling away even before he could react.

"You take care too!"

She said and then waited for his response. He was still taken aback by this sudden action.

"Yeah...I will!"

He replied and the car honked more. That interrupted whatever he was going to say next.

"Now go before that bitch sets the neighbourhood on fire!"

He joked and that made her giggle for the first time in three days and it was a refreshing start.

She leaned once again to place a sweet kiss on his cheeks and then ran away, hastily.

It made him feel like he just had a moment with the Tinsley...the one he knew.

Her warm kiss...he touched his cheeks feeling it and his heart exploded with minimal joy for the very first time since that awful night.

Tinsley climbed down the stairs and saw Madi sitting inside the Audi, blowing horns more when she came closer.

It made her chuckle and race towards the car. Madi got out and both drew each other in a tight hug.

"God!! I missed my redhead sister!"

Madi muttered, hugging Tinsley. She was glad to have someone in her life...a sister figure when she grew up as a single lonely child.

"I missed you too!"

Tinsley smiled. The outside breeze and sun made her feel refreshed and alive after sulking inside the house for quite a long time then.

"Let's go then, I have lots to say to you."

Madison said, opening the car door for Tinsley. She obliged, getting inside without wasting another time.

"And I can't wait to listen to it."

Madison got inside the driver's seat and both drove away from the building premises.

Kian watched them driving away from the terrace, being the loneliness slowly creeping him inside.

He sighed and walked inside, collecting his keys and laptop, heading to the cafe to get some work done.

"My God!!! You joined them on their trip to Hawai??"

Tinsley exclaimed, not being able to believe what she just heard. Was not a few days ago, she was crying out how everything had been ruined??

Madi chuckled, remembering the trip. It was so clear inside her mind, so vivid and bright.

"I told you he offered then how the hell could I refuse??"

Tinsley nodded understanding. She could not comprehend how much a good gentleman this John was.

"Plus it was my chance to rekindle my love."

"And did it work??"

Tinsley implored to which Madison blushed, driving to the main highway, entering the city corner.

She could not decide if it was a one day trip or a few days or a to and fro trip??

She remembered Lana having the to and fro trips for her modelling almost thrice a month when they were together.

So it was confusing and so she decided against packing any clothes for the trip at all.

She cursed, thinking she should have asked him if it were a vacay or work trip??

And then she did not want to disturb John, calling him to ask such silly questions.

He had already helped her...offered a chance to explain Lana and rekindle their love once again.

So when the clock stroke five in the evening, she was already waiting outside the Richmond Private Airport.

Of course, they would be flying on a private jet, more precisely to be his or Lana. She did not even doubt if Lana had acquired for her by now.

Working with Kian, she had known and well adapted to the lives of these billionaires.

Two black Mercedes cars lined up. She turned around to see and was sure it was to be John because it was almost time to fly.

John got out as Eric opened the door and the other two guards collected his backpacks from the trunk.

John saw her and walked towards her. Madison could not help biting her lips as she watched him close to her in a black suit, his muscles bulging out of his white shirt.

He looked so...she could not form a word to describe his handsomeness. And here he was, standing right in front of her.

She leaned off from the hood of her Audi and stood straight, cursed internally when the scent of his cologne hit her nose.

"You are here?"

She took a second to respond to that. She was too gone admiring his manly self and feeling his hoarse rough voice.

"Yeah...yes, yes!! I m!!"

She stuttered, getting embarrassed at herself. John noticed the redness of her cheeks and it made him amused to know that he had some kind of effect on her.

"You invited me so..."

"Totally, I remember."

John replied, shaking his head positively. She smiled, scratching the back of her neck.

"So... let's go??"

"Sure!!"

She very excitedly answered and he waited for a while for her to collect her bags and she kept standing still, watching him.

"Let's go??"

She intervened and it was then he understood that she had not bought any bags with her.

He turned around to walk towards the plane and she followed, walking beside him. Eric and the guards walked before them.

"Just so you know it's a two-day trip."

John spoke out and it was then Madi realized that she was screwed because she had not packed anything with her.

Not even her underwear or her phone charger, her laptop, all her essentials for a goddamn trip.

John chuckled, watching how the colour of her face changed. He recalled that he never informed her that it was a two-day trip so she must have assumed it to be a to and fro one.

It was too late by then to turn around and drive home to pack those things.

"Is everything alright?"

He asked. She gave him an awkward smile.

"I just remembered have to go shopping as soon as we land."
