His mind was aware of the presence of the other people 

He snorted and wrapped his left arm around her. 

"Close your eyes and try not to hear anything." Ji Yanli did everything per his instructions and like a good kitten, she snuggled against his chest and rubbed her face. 

How could she not know the things outside happening?! Just that, she was too bored to give those people in heat any attention!

Thus, the nonexistent innocent soul of Ji Yanli was guarded heavily by Wang Haixiao against the nasty side of human nature.

When both of them came out, Ben had already come back. Michael intended to inquire about her condition but before Wang Haixiao's icy and cold aura, he couldn't open his lips.

"Lili…" Ben shifted his eyes on her back but Ji Yanli didn't give any response while her face was buried in Wang Haixiao's chest. Not even the tip of her ears could be seen.

When Wang Haixiao saw Ben staring at the woman, his eyes caught the bare back of her. The soft creamy skin was exposed to these two stinky men and he couldn't bear it. 'Are they ogling at her?!' 

His mind immediately labelled them as perverts who coveted his thing and his eyes turned vicious and malicious aura burst out as if he was a predator and his prey was eyed by some sneaky vultures.

"Where are you looking?!" He covered her back with his right hand and intended to scold him when Ji Yanli made circles on his chest and murmured.

"Have you forgotten the matter at hand? Do you want me to say again?! Let's leave now!" 

Wang Haixiao snapped back from his hostility and immediately ran away with her in his arms. Ben and Michael felt they needed to chase after him because of his abnormalities but then they were stopped by security guards. 

Both of them were suspected of making trouble and were led to meet the bar manager for further instructions. 

During the time they were being questioned, Ji Yanli was sitting quietly beside Wang Haixiao, looking out of the window without even moving.

It was probably because Ji Yanli was too quiet unlike her usual self that Wang Haixiao subconsciously looked at her several times.

The quiet Ji Yanli did not even notice Wang Haixiao's eyes on her. She thought of not making trouble for him… for the time being.

She kept looking out the window, the light on the street caught her attention, thinking that the night scenery was quite nice and comfortable.

The cool air came in and caressed her cheeks. Combining her somewhat drunk appearance, it made her look like a blushing girl.

Wang Haixiao wanted to close the window but she interrupted, "Don't. I'm feeling pain. The air can make me feel good."

Thus he didn't but the man stopped the car at the roadside, took off his jacket and put it on her front. He even carefully tugged on the side, covering her upper body completely.

Ji Yanli didn't say another word and the car drove smoothly all the way and soon returned to their apartment.

In order to make it convenient for them to go to university every day, Ji Yanli and Wang Haixiao picked up a very high-end apartment where every inch of the land was valuable.

Garden design, antique pavilions, small bridges and flowing water, these elegant and peaceful places were located in front of the buildings. From it, people could guess that the designer was extremely talented.

Wang Haixiao picked her up and carried her to their apartment. After they had entered the house, Wang Haixiao put her down.

At this time, Ji Yanli's phone rang, she took it out and looked, it was Ben. Wang Haixiao's temple throbbed in pain just by the mere sight of 'B' and 'M' now.

Before she could answer, he snatched it and told her sternly. "Talk later. Now, go and wash up. I'll bring you brown sugar water in a while." 

He walked away after saying, didn't even leave her phone behind. Ji Yanli could only go to her room and change into more comfortable clothes.

Looking at Ji Yanli's back, Wang Haixiao curled his mouth thinking that he wouldn't let her talk with those men and prevent them from having any relationship, let alone friendship!

He cut the call and turned it off. From Ji Yanli's room, her voice came, "Haixiao, I need help."

"Coming!" 

So, late in the night while Ji Yanli was sleeping peacefully, the man was busy massaging her waist to lessen her period cramps.

"Hug me. You will feel better."

"Hmm..."

He even voluntarily gave her his precious warmth by hugging her throughout the whole night~

Luo Lixi stared at Luo Lixiang. All kinds of thoughts about working had long been escaped through the window. In the big office room, the two siblings' presence was like the calm before the storm. 

Even though the AC was turned on, Luo Lixiang's back was drenched in sweat as if he had done a heavy exercise. His casual outfits had turned dark because of this reason.

The young man had long abandoned all kinds of acting and proper ways to talk with others because he had already been exposed and felt it's time to put a stop to all of these.

Today, Luo Lixi got to see another side of him as the man took out a lighter and began to play with it right in front of her. Luo Lixiang took out a cigarette from his pants' pocket and lit it up.

Luo Lixi frowned as she subconsciously tried to stop him, "Stop. When did you start smoking?!" 

The latter chuckled when watching her face which was deep in thought. His eyes shifted and avoided her question.

He glanced upon the coffee mug held by her and murmured, "Don't you feel the heat of it? Sister, you will get a burn like this. You know."

Only if Luo Lixiang didn't have that delightful smile on his innocent face, the situation wouldn't have seemed very awkward and weird. On top of that, he blew a smoke ring and didn't think about her discomfort.

She put down the mug and turned her full concentration on the playful boy. The man appeared very carefree as if all was good. 

He tapped on the glass surface of the desk and tilted his head to one side and asked.

"How have you been?"

"Good."

"Really?"

"... Mm. Suddenly, you are acting so caring, it feels strange."

One asked swiftly and another answered curtly.

"You are looking very good now, sister. After all, you are now the new CEO. Life must be perfect without a hindrance and burden like me? Everyone must be dying to lick your shoes..."

Luo Lixi quietly spiteful words. Looking at her calmful demeanour, Luo Lixiang felt very irritated. 

To him, her current expression was similar to the pretentious bitches of cheap backgrounds who had come to flatter him before.

"What is with your monk-like signature face? Didn't that wild man satisfy you?!" The man changed his face in the blink of an eye and gritted his teeth.

Luo Lixi couldn't hear those obscene words and shouted, "Shut up! Why have you come? Just say what you need and leave!"

"... Convince the old man to let me stay in the Luo Mansion. I have all the right to stay there. Also, told that Sheng bastard to stop haunting me. When I tried to stay low, he couldn't wait to dig my ancestors' grave out!"

Luo Lixi noticed his hand which continuously tapped on the behaviour. She knew that whenever he was nervous, he would continue this action. But now, the same person smoking and doing this act felt out of the place.

"Why should I? There is no reason for me to waste my energy on a scumbag like you! Should I be magnanimous and let myself fall again into your trap?! To let you in the Luo Mansion? Why did you have the illusion that I'll agree?"

Both of them continued to stare at each other when the office door opened and Pan Er Jiu came in. Watching another man in the room, she was puzzled and glanced at Luo Lixi as she walked towards them.

"This, Mr…" Her words stopped in her throat when Luo Lixiang turned around and looked towards her. "Ah!" 

Pan Er Jiu saw a face which was 90% similar to Luo Lixi. Then she remembered that she seemed to have heard that CEO Luo had a brother who was a former CEO and was dismissed by their grandfather.

Pan Er Jiu's eyes fell on the two siblings. Noticing Luo Lixi's unusual serious face as well as Luo Lixiang's face, she felt awkward. 'I seemed to have come at a wrong time again!'

"What's the matter? Come here." Luo Lixi motioned the other person to enter.

After entering, Pan Er Jiu softly closed the door and walked up to them. Watching Luo Lixiang smoking, her face creased into a frown. She blurted out without thinking, "Mr Luo, smoking isn't allowed here."

"I know. That's why I'm smoking even though I don't like it." He lifted his face and showed her an angelic smile, "After all, there is joy doing forbidden things!"

Pan Er Jiu got bashful and turned to Luo Lixi. She put down a paper and said hurriedly, "Miss, I need a signature here."
