“This footage is really thrilling! Let us thanks the two netizens that risked their life recording this video! And let us express our most sincere gratitude towards those heroes that sacrificed themselves to save our world!” An announcer was heard from Dio’s phone.

“They might be gone, but they weren’t forgotten!” The announcer adds.

“This past year could be said to be the year that would definitely go down in history, for it has so many unforgettable memories for the Human Race! The return of the dusted alone was an unforgettable moment for the universe, and it is thanks to the efforts made by the Avengers!” The announcer said excitedly.

“Dating back four years ago, half of life in the universe, including many of us in Midtown High School, has been erased from existence, but 8 months ago, the Avengers brought them back without missing any limbs! The event that was called “The Blip” by everyone over the internet was surely unforgettable! The people that returned themselves were still trapped in the past as they didn’t even age a day from the day they were snapped out of existence!”

“Their age is still the same, while the rest of the universe has grown 3 years older! Simply said, once a younger brother could become the older brother now! But still, the students that have returned keep complaining that their school year was restarted anew!”

“Kids, am I right?” 

“Nevertheless, this long event is thrilling and puzzling! But, the school year is about to end, and we should look forward to entering a new stage of life! With the Avengers disbanded, we hope that troubles don’t befall Earth again, for we don’t know who would save us if that time comes. So, does anybody has any idea what the future may hold?” The announcer finally finished his narrative with a long pause.

“What are you watching? A talk show?” Dio asked as he walked toward Wanda that was still busy watching the show on her phone. Dio had just finished washing the dishes, and Wanda was waiting for him to return to bed. They snuggled against each other comfortably as they didn’t want to do anything else today.

Dio planned to go fishing today, but after a warm snuggle like this, he immediately thought of canceling it. There was no meaning to other activity right now if he could hold Wanda in his arms. 

“It is a video that has gone viral these days. It’s been so long, but many people still talk about the Avengers, The blip, and the Aliens!” Wanda said as she put her phone down to look at Dio lovingly. 

“Well, it doesn’t matter, right? They are free to discuss anything they want and express their opinion. And our popularity right now would eventually cease down as new heroes step up and save the day!” Dio said confidently. He knew that the universe had entered a lull, a period of tranquility after Thanos’ defeat! Small crimes might still exist, but the worse kind of evil would stay cautious and wait for their opportunity to strike later. 

Now, Peter Parker, your friendly neighborhood Spiderman, will be one of these Young Superheroes that replace the old and retired heroes! Even Tony himself already stated that Spiderman would take his place in fighting crimes in New York! 

This statement from Tony himself was shocking to hear as Tony used to be against Peter’s involvement with the Avengers in the first place! Had Peter already passed all of Tony’s criteria to become his successor? Or was it simply a lazy pick from Tony? 

Anyway, Tony’s decision wasn’t that important for Dio right now. Tony could do anything he wanted, and Dio would stay out of Tony’s way. But still, Dio couldn’t help but feel that Midtown High School mentioned in Wanda’s show just now sounded familiar!

In Midtown High School, a group of teenagers gathered in pairs and excitedly discussed their next trip to Europe. Peter was in a heated discussion with his best friend, Ned, on how to use this chance abroad to confess his feelings to MJ. 

He was at the age of 16, a right age where his desires and hormones were in rage! 

“I have a plan! First step, I will take the seat next to MJ on the plane! The second step, I will buy a dual headphone adapter and watch a movie with her throughout the flight! The Third Step is when we get to Venice, I will buy a black dahlia Necklace for her! The Fourth Step, when we get to Paris, I will take her to the Eiffel Tower and give her the gift and convey my feelings for her!” Peter said excitedly. 

“Now, all that’s left is her own feelings for me. Do you think she would accept my feelings for her?” Peter said as he began to show a sign of insecurity. He had been trying hard to come up with this plan all night, and still, Peter wasn’t sure of himself. 

“You forgot number 5^th!” Ned said confidently.

“Alright, what is it? I will write it down!” Peter said hopefully.

“Okay, the fifth step, remember to never do the previous four steps!” Ned exclaimed solemnly.

“Come on, Ned! Why?” Peter asked annoyedly. Peter had already read several romance novels all night, and he read that confessing his feelings in the most romantic place would have a high success rate! 

It was 50% as a confession only had 2 options, either he got what he wanted, and MJ became his girlfriend, or she rejected his advance and left him heartbroken.

According to Schrodinger’s Cat theory, before Peter confessed his feelings, he had half a chance that his confession would turn out successful.

“Listen, Peter! I don’t know what you see in MJ for you to like her this much, but based on my experience on the Love Forum, I must tell you that soft and sweet romance wouldn’t always work! You have to be tougher, a macho man! You have to play hard to get. Only when she can no longer hide her curiosity will your success rate be higher! Plus, your confession method is too cliché! I wouldn’t doubt that even elementary school students thought of your way of confessing!” Ned delivered his long narrative!

“Oh my god, you are right! MJ isn’t even your typical girl! She is, what would I call, darker! Even her sense of humor is a bit dark!” Peter said as he agreed with Ned’s input.

“Are you sure you aren’t talking about her skin colour?” Ned asked curiously.

“What are you talking about? I like her for her, and I don’t care about her skin tone at all!” Peter said offendedly. 

Ned just shook his head and sighed as he knew that Peter had fallen head over heels for MJ. Peter just scratched his head in distress as his insecurity was at its peak right now. He had to admit that confessing his feelings to the girl he liked was more terrifying than fighting a villain!

But, Peter suddenly thought of something good. Why didn’t he just ask Mr. Stark for advice?! Tony was already a father figure for Peter, and maybe his years of being a rich playboy might come in handy. 

Peter didn’t know that his thought was a complete mistake, at least not yet.
