Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 83 - [Bonus ]Idea Of Opening A Store

All the boys and girls were shivering with the muscular middle-aged man's words; however, they nodded their heads because yesterday, they saw that middle-aged man kill five boys and three girls just for crying.

So, controlling their fear, everyone didn't cry or retort; instead, they nodded their heads.

"For now, you can rest. The training starts tomorrow."

Satisfied with the behaviour of the boys and girls in front of him, the middle-aged man left the hall.

'Ruby, big brother must be worrying about me.'

Among the 10-year old boys and girls, there was a boy as he muttered in a low voice while thinking about his brother.

He was none other than Evan who was kidnapped by a mysterious organization.

'Hiss'

In reply to his words, there was a low hissing sound coming from his robes.

Soon, most of the boys and girls fell asleep on their beds while thinking about their families.

…..

In the evening.

Outside the myriad primordial forest, Lucas met with others who successfully completed the tasks he gave them.

As for Lucas, after the white tiger recovered its strength, they hunted 10 more rank 3 spirit beasts along with more than 50 rank 2 spirit and more than 200 rank 1 spirit beasts.

"Porter, sell these carcasses just like yesterday."

While travelling back to the manor, Lucas gave all the carcasses collected by him and others to Porter asking him to sell them to Manager Rean.

"Yes, family head."

Porter nodded his head as he took the storage rings from Lucas.

Nevertheless, he stores some items like bones, claws because the young dwarf asked him for some bones of the spirit beasts for his weapon refining practice.

'I hope he can become a rank 3 weapon refiner as soon as possible. Then, I can start going against the weapons pavilion.'

The young dwarf has good weapon refining talent, a good weapon refining manual and all he needed right now was some time and a little bit of practice.

For that practice, he needed resources and Lucas was hoping he could open a weapon store against the weapons pavilion family.

However, it would take a year or so for the young dwarf to reach rank 3. So, until then, Lucas decided to focus on his cultivation such that the weapon pavilion would think twice before trying anything funny.

"Congratulations, Beck."

Also, he didn't forget to congratulate Beck for successfully becoming a Lesser mage and at the same time, she became a rank 3 beast tamer.

"Thank you, young master. Now, I have an additional primary slot and four secondary slots to tame the spirit beast. Adding to the previous slots, I have a total of 10 beast slots in which five were already filled."

Beck already explained how her beast tamer profession works.

Every time she progresses to a rank in her beast tamer profession, a primary beast slot will be unlocked and as long as she uses that slot to tame a spirit beast, she would be blessed with a random skill of that spirit beast.

Other than that, there are second beast slots which were more than primary beast slots because they would not help a beast tamer to gain additional skills.

'If I can find a talent crystal for Beast tamer, I should keep it for Evan as it seems like a very powerful profession.'

This was the only thought in Lucas' head when he learned about the beast tamer's profession.

"I will be relying on you to protect me, Beck."

With a slight smile on his face, Lucas said to Beck.

"It is my duty, young master. I will definitely do it."

Beck found happiness in being Lucas' guard. So, he nodded her head as usual.

Soon, they went to the manor and had a delicious meal just like yesterday after a good training day.

'Ding,

The host ate the cooked rank 2 spirit beast's meat.

Gained two units of Knight energy.

'Ding,

The host ate the cooked rank 2 spirit beast's meat.

Gained one unit of Knight energy.

.

.

'Ding,

The host ate the cooked rank 2 spirit beast's meat.

Gained zero units of Knight energy.

Lucas was not surprised with the system notifications and after a dozen or so system notifications, he stopped getting any Knight energy from his meal.

'So, the Knight energy was instant and there is a limit to what a rank 2 spirit beast could give.'

Lucas learned more about his second skill 'Absolute digestion' by eating various delicacies; however, only rank 2 spirit beasts or rank 2 fruits gave him the Knight energy and even in that, it was only a limited amount of Knight energy.

'I wonder what kind of effects it will have when I upgrade the skill to a high level? Will I be able to gain the skills of the spirit beasts by consuming them?'

Even though he didn't know whether it was possible or not, Lucas was motivating himself to focus on the skill.

"Buzz, here are the items you asked for."

Later that night, Lucas gave all the items the young dwarf needed to start his weapon refining training.

Since there was a small weaponsmith set up in one of the rooms of the manor, the young dwarf directly used it as his room.

"Family head, I will try to increase my weapons refiner rank as soon as possible."

Currently, the young dwarf wanted only one thing and it was to destroy the weapons pavilion. For that, he needed to have good weapon refining skills to disrupt their businesses in every town and make them go bankrupt.

So, he was very serious when he said those words to Lucas.

"Sure sure."

Lucas knew that revenge is the best tool of motivation one could get. So, he nodded his head and suggested to the young dwarf, "Read the weapon refining manual carefully before starting your practice."

From Sawyer's loot, Lucas got a weapons refining manual which he gave to the young dwarf as he had a high-level talent in weapons refining and he could easily understand it.

"I will definitely do it, boss."

The young dwarf nodded his head as he closed the door before starting his training.

"For the next five days, I should try to become the tier 3 Lesser knight."

Seeing the determination on the young dwarf's face, Lucas also decided to set a target for himself.

As for why he chose only five days, it was, because he would complete the weekly mission series.

'Within these five days, other than increasing my strength, I need to accumulate as many gold coins as possible to buy a store in the town.'

The first thing he thought with all the gold coins he earned until now and would be earning more in the coming days, was to buy a store.

'Since I now have a good hunting team, I can just open a small store to sell the spirit beast materials.'

As his weapons refiner had yet to be ready, Lucas decided to open a store to see how it goes; however, his main goal was to open a weapons store as it would give him name and fame.

However, a spirit beasts' materials selling store is a very common one in the Silverstone town unless you sell the material of rank 3 or above spirit beast.

Even selling rank 3 spirit beasts' material would not be considered much. Only a rank 4 spirit beasts or above materials could raise him to fame.

'I don't want a name or fame for now. At least I become a General knight, I will try to silently increase my family's strength.'

Lucas looked through the window to see what the Shadow wyvern and the white tigers were doing in the stable while thinking about his plans.

'At least, they were not showing any signs of fighting.'

Lucas felt a little relieved seeing that spirit beasts in the horse stable.

Even though Lucas could control the white tigers, he could not control the Shadow wyvern.

'Human, don't worry. I will not harm them.'

Sensing Lucas' gaze through the window, the Shadow wyvern transmitted its voice to Lucas, making him reveal a slight smile on his face.

'Shadow wyvern, I have a deal for you which you can't resist.'

All of a sudden, Lucas thought of something as he transmitted his voice to the shadow wyvern.
