Sovereign of the Firmaments

To everyone' surprise, the high-level rank 5 spirit beasts that were supposed to come out of the portals didn't come out; instead, evil humanoid beings walked out of the portal with faces full of shocks.

They were shocked because the town they were going to invade was not very powerful and only had a couple of rank 5 spirit beasts; however, their king ordered that three rank 5 evil portals should be open and the entire town had to disappear from the Barren firmament.

'His majesty said that this town will be the start of their invasion of the Barren firmament; however, I think it is not as easy as we thought.'

All three evil humanoid beings had more or less the same thoughts in their heads as they looked at the corpses of all the evil spirit beast lying in front of the respective portals.

The evil humanoid beings looked just like humans; however, they were completely covered in evil energy and even had scales that were made up of evil energy.

One of them had eight spider legs on his back that looked very sharp just like the blades.

Another one of them had two dragon wings on his back whereas the last one had a huge tail on his face.

"So, there is a powerful expert residing in this town. This is going to be fun."

The one that came out of the right portal which Lucas was currently at, was the humanoid evil being with dragon wings on his back.

His shocked expression was replaced with excitement as he looked for an expert who killed so many of his subordinates.

The thing is, just like how humans were rewarded by the heavens for killing the evil spirit beasts and evil beings, the evil spirit beasts and the evil beings would also get rewarded if they kill the humans.

The more powerful the human they killed, the higher their reward will be. So, of course, they were excited about the powerful human in the town.

"Huh? Where is he?"

However, he didn't find any powerful expert, making him raise his eyebrows.

It was the same for the two other evil humanoid beings. They were looking for some powerful expert who killed so many of their subordinates in such a short time, however, all they could see was a couple of rank 5 spirit beasts and a group of rank 4 spirit beasts along with two general knights and a general mage.

'So, these rank 5 portals are owned by evil humanoid beings.'

As for Lucas, he thought that these evil humanoid beings are the owners of these rank 5 portals.

Just like how spirit beasts and the humaniod beings live in the firmament world, the evil world also has evil spirit beasts and evil humanoid beings.

So, it didn't take much time for Lucas and others to come to this conclusion and they became a lot more serious because compared to the evil spirit beasts, the evil humanoid beings were more intelligent just like how humanoid beings are more intelligent than the spirit beasts in the firmament world.

'Looks like I should not drag this fight any longer as these humanoid evil beings will run away the moment they realize that they are not a match for my Silverstone town's force.'

As the evil humanoid beings were searching for the powerful expert, Lucas hurriedly thought about a few things before coming to a conclusion.

'Everyone, there is no need to drag the fight anymore. Go all out and kill these humanoid beings as soon as possible.'

Without wasting any time, Lucas gave the orders to the main force of Silverstone town.

Actually, Lucas wanted more rank 3 and rank 4 evil spirit beasts to comoe out of these three portals because of multiple reasons.

One, he and the entire Silverstone town would receive more rewards by killing more evil spirit beasts.

Two, the youngsters who were in the special training and the squads like Surge squad, Lightning squad and the Lynx squad would be pressured a lot which brings out their hidden potential.

The last one, it was to gain more evil energy. So that, the heaven ranked spirit beast's egg would hatch after absorbing all that evil energy.

Lucas was not worried that the spirit beast coming out of the egg might become an evil spirit beast after absorbing so much of evil eenrgy because the system had already confirmed that the spirit beast that would come out of the egg would not be an evil spirit beast.

'According to the system, at most, the spirit beast that comes out of the egg might gain an additional attribute which is 'Evil attribute' to it.'

Lucas was relieved when he learned about it from the system and didn't worry about feeding more evil energy. 

That's also when he made the decision to drag the fight with the high-level rank 5 spiriti beasts, so that more rank 3 and rank 4 evil spirit beasts would come out of the three portals.

'Yes, master.'

'Yes, young master.'

Beck, Harper, Reece alonog with the rank 5 lynxes that had killed the mid-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts earlier, became excited and hurriedly replied to Lucas.

"Everyone, let's kill these evil humanoid beings."

Lucas shouted as loudly as possible as he activated the effect of his [Lynx master] skill.

'Swoosh'

'Roar'

As soon as he shouted, the Bleeding slayer lynx that was beside Lucas roared at the evil humanoid with dragon wings and rushed at him.

All the way, its strength rose from low-level rank 5 to high-level rank 5 which was equivalent to the strength of the dragon winged evil being.

"Huh? A high-level rank 5 spirit beast?"

The dragon winged evil being was a little surprised with the sudden rise in the strength of the lynx; however, he didn't think much and blocked the attack of the slayer lynx with his dragon wings.

'Clang'

The weapons attached to the bleeding slayer lynx's body were unable to break the defence of the dragon wings of that evil being, making Lucas think, 'They are clearly more powerful than the high-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts.'

Even though Lucas had never fought a high-level rank 5 evil spirit beast before, he was very sure that the bleeding slayer lynx's attack was peerless in the same realm.

However, that attack was stopped by the evil being with the wings just like that.

"Elemental lynx. Go and join the fight."

Since the elemental lynx was also beside him, Lucas gave it the orders to fight the evil beings along with the bleeding slayer lynx. So that, they could easily kill the dragon winged evil being with ease.

"Roar"

With a roar, the elemental lynx rushed towards the dragon winged evil being and used its normal attacks to test the battle prowess of that evil being.

"Elemental lynx, you will be the meat shield and the slayer lynx will be the main attacker."

Comparing both lynxes' attack power, Lucas could easily say that the slayer lynx would have good attack power.

As for the elemental lynx, it had a specific skill 'Rapid regeneration', making it a perfect meatshield for the bleeding slayer lynx.

However, for the bleeding slayer lynx, it was also required to get injured in the fight agaist the dragon winged evil humanoid being to show its true power.

So, overall, the bleeding slayer lynx and the elemental lynx would form a good team to fight against the dragon winged evil being.

'These two high-level rank 5 lynxes are more than enough to take care of that dragon winged evil being; however, I will make it even easier for the lynxes by using my level 2 [Infernal bomb] from time to time to injure him.'

Lucas revealed an evil smile on his face as he didn't mind ganging up on his enemy.

For a deadly assassin like him, it was not important on how he won the fight. All it matters to him was a 'Win'.

'I will let him take some damage from the lynxes, then I will use the spell.'

With that thought in his head, Lucas started killing the rank 3 and rank 4 evil spirit beasts that were coming out of the portal without an end along with the lightning squad, who finished their rest with the appearance of the dragon winged evil humanoid being.

'Thunder knight's rage'

Since the elemental lynx was in its knight form, it would gain all the skills that Lucas had in his Knight profession.

And among them, 'Thunder knight's rage' was one that boosts the skills of the user by three times for a limited time.

'Combo strike'

Along with that skill, the elemental lynx used the deadly skill when fighting against a single target.

'Using two skills from the beginning. The elemental lynx's attack power is a lot higher than the slayer lynx now.'

Lucas was keeping an eye on the fight as he noticed the skills used by the elemental lynx and could not help but reveal a slight smile on his face.

'However, the bleeding slayer lynx is yet to use any of its skills.'

Lucas looked at the bleeding slayer lynx's body where only a few weapons were attached and silently thought in his head.

'Weapon burst'

Just as Lucas thought about it, the bleeding slayer lynx used one of its new skills and released nearly hundred powerful weapons out of its body, all rushed at the dragon winged evil being.

'Slayer tornado'

Just like the elemental lynx, the bleeding slayere lynx also used another powerful skill and created a huge tornado that sucked the dragon winged evil being and the elemental lynx into it.
