Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 197 - Buying Talent Crystals

<No results found for 'Talent crystals'>

However, Lucas' luck was bad as no one was trading the talent crystals in the [Exchange platform].

Even though it showed no talent crystals available when Lucas searched, it doesn't mean no one was trading them. It's just that, the other system hosts were very fast as they directly paid when required things before taking the talent crystals for themselves.

There was no bargain with the price when it comes to the talent crystals.

'As expected of the rarest commodity. There is demand but no supply.'

Lucas shook his head in disappointment; however, he already expected something like this would happen.

'Should I ask [Prodigal son]?'

Lucas thought about the gift he received from the [Prodigal son]; however, he didn't keep high hopes on him either.

'Anyway, I will send a message to him.'

With that thought in his mind, Lucas sent a message to the prodigal son asking him whether he had any talent crystals above earl grade while emphasizing mainly on the two professions 'Knight' and 'Assassin'.

'Until he gives a reply, I will buy the other item.'

Lucas didn't waste any time as he posted a request in the  [Exchange platform].

[Lonewolf]:- Looking for beast luring potions for only Lynx type or special spirit beasts.

After posting the request, Lucas started searching through the items, looking for something useful for him.

[Dungeon miner] wants to sell a Skill enhancement crystal.

Note:- I prefer the beast cores of rank 4 spirit beasts and rank 5 spirit beasts.

Among the sea of sellers, Lucas found something interesting and stopped scrolling down.

'An item that cost 10000 sovereign points. Moreover, I also have hundreds of rank 4 beast cores.'

Lucas felt it was a custom made request for him and without any hesitation, he started bargaining with a seller named [Dungeon miner].

'Ding,

The host used 10 rank 4 beast cores to exchange for a skill enhancement crystal.

Soon, the trade with the [Dungeon miner] was completed as Lucas received the item in his inventory.

'Time to use the crystal.'

Since he already decided which skill he wanted to upgrade using the skill enhancement crystal, Lucas didn't waste any time in using it after closing the [Exchange platform].

As for the search request he put, he would be notified when someone wants to trade with him.

'I want to upgrade [Combo strike].'

Currently, Lucas only had only one level 1 attack that could do insane damage to his opponents and it was none other than [Combo strike].

So, he wanted to upgrade it to level 2 to increase the damage output of that skill to the next level.

'Ding,

The skill [Combo stirke] is upgraded to level 2 using a skill enhancement crystal.

In no time, the skill enhancement crystal in his hands turned to dust as Lucas received a system notification in his head.

'Check'

With a thought, the information regarding the level 2 [Combo strike] appeared in front of him.

'Ding,

Skill name:- Combo strike (level 2)

Effect:- Using this skill, the user can stack a total of five combos. With each strike, the damage received by the target will be increased by 50 percent until the fourth strike; however, for the fifth strike, the damage will be increased to five times.

Note:- Amidst the strikes, the user should not receive a single attack from his target; otherwise, the combo will be destroyed and the user has to repeat it again.

'Finally, five times damage output.'

Lucas was excited and could not wait to use the skill against the [Black tortoise] in the [Fighting arena].

However, he had to wait for another three weeks or so before he could enter it.

'Even though this skill is good, I don't want to underestimate that [Black tortoise]. I should increase my strength and upgrade the [Infernal bomb] to level 2.'

Lucas already experienced how tough that monster's skin was, not to mention its shell who knows how strong it was.

So, he thought along with the [Combo strike], upgrading the [Infernal Bomb] was a must for him before entering the [Fighting arena].

'Ding,

You have a message from [Prodigal son].

As he was planning his tactics to win against the [Black tortoise], he received the system notification and opened the [Chat] feature.

[Prodigal son]: I only have a dozen earl grade talent crystals for both Knight and Assassin professions. As for the higher than earl grade, it might take a while to get my hands on them.

[Lonewolf]: You have a way to get them?

[Prodigal son]: Yes.

[Lonewolf]: How long?

[Prodigal son]: One year at maximum and at least three months.

[Lonewolf]: Okay. I will wait until then to exchange them. As for now, can you trade the talent crystals you have?

[Prodigal son]: Sure. But I want a rank 4 beast core for every Earl grade talent crystal.

[Lonewolf]: Deal

The conversation between Lucas and [Prodigal son] was already short as they were straightforward with each other.

'Ding,

You have received 22 earl grade talent crystals from [Prodigal son] (10 Knight and 12 Assassin crystals).

'Ding,

You have sent 22 rank 4 beast cores.

Soon, the transaction was completed as both parties were satisfied with the items they got.

The only thing Lucas lacked right now was beast cores. Be it rank 3 or rank 4, he had a lot of them and it was a result of his insane hunting in order to increase his strength.

'Looks like the gift I sent him last was useful to him.'

This was the thought in Lucas' head when [Prodigal son] asked him if he wanted more beast cores.

'Looks like he is definitely not from Barren firmament.'

For stronger experts in the Barren firmament, getting their hands on the rank 4 beast cores was much easier compared to the experts from the other firmaments and the reason for that was  'Myriad primordial forest' that was filled with hundreds of thousands of spirit beasts.

'Ding,

Someone is contacting you regarding your request in the [Exchange platform].
