When the dungeon boss heard Lucas' words about his location, he let his guard down a little while scoffing at Lucas.

'Boom'

However, in the next second, he noticed that the huge [Infernal Bomb] was aimed at his current location and the dungeon boss didn't have any time to dodge the spell.

'Damn it…this bastard fooled me.'

'Boom'

As the dungeon boss cursed Lucas for fooling him, the [Infernal Bomb] landed on the dungeon boss and a huge explosion occurred in the cave.

'Having strength without battle experience is of no use.'

Lucas was confident that he had killed the dungeon boss. So, he made a statement while scoffing at the smoke.

'Ding,

          The host killed a tier 5 general (knight+mage+assassin).

'Ding,

          No system rewards will be given as the corpse was absorbed by the dungeon spirit.

Before the smoke was cleared completely, Lucas got the system notifications which didn't make him surprised.

'I hope he left behind some good items.'

Even though the system was unable to reward him for killing the creatures in the dungeon, he was sure about the rewards for clearing the dungeon. 

So, he was hoping for some good rewards from the dungeon spirit.

Soon, Lucas heard the voice of the dungeon spirit and noticed a door appeared on one of the walls which opened after the dungeon spirit's words.

'Looks like the dungeon core is in that room.'

Lucas nodded his head; however, he didn't forget to take the three items left behind by the dungeon boss.

'Ding,

        Item name:- Coward's sword.

        Grade:- Rank 4

        Effect:- 1) Increases the defence of the user by 100 percent.

                    2) Increases the attack power of the user by 100 percent.

'Ding,

        Item name:- Coward's mage robe.

        Grade:- Rank 4

        Effect:- 1) Decreases the chanting time of advanced spells by one minute.

                    2) Decreases the chanting time of intermediate spells by 80 seconds.

                    3) Decreases the chanting time of basic spells by 100 seconds.

'Ding,

        Item name:- Coward's dagger.

        Grade:- Rank 4

        Effect:- 1) Increases the critical rate by 100 percent.

        Special skill:- [Camouflage], a skill that can hide the user as long as he stands in the darkness.

'What the hell?'

Lucas was completely shocked by the effects on the three items that the dungeon boss was using.

What's more, he even lost to him with such equipment, making Lucas think, 'Is  the dungeon boss a coward or what?'

Because if the dungeon boss used the effects from all this equipment, he would be not killed so easily. Moreover, when he saw the name of the equipment, he felt that the dungeon boss was a coward to use them properly.

'Time to change my equipment.'

Since he was also an expert in three professions like Knight, Mage and Assasin, the three items he gained just now was a good match for him to use.

So, without wasting any time, he equipped them.

        Usually, the dungeon boss uses the strength depending on the strength of the challenger and because the host set his strength as tier 3 lesser knight, the dungeon boss didn't show his full power.

'Oh. So, it is like that.'

Finally, Lucas understood and muttered, 'Looks like I made the right decision in coming here alone.'

After equipping him with the new gear, he enters the core room to become the master of the dungeon.

'So, this is the dungeon core.'

Lucas saw a fist-sized black-coloured dungeon core floating in the mid-air and other than that, there was nothing noteworthy in the room.

'Time to become the owner of the dungeon.'

Since the dungeon spirit had already asked him to drop his blood on the dungeon core, Lucas didn't waste any time doing that.

'Ding,

        Congratulations to the host for successfully becoming the owner of the dungeon.

'Ding,

        As a reward, the system will help the host to reset the dungeon.

Just as he dropped his bloodline, the black dungeon core shone brightly before Lucas received the system notifications in his head.

Moreover, the system gave him a small reward of resetting the dungeon.

Resetting the dungeon means all the creatures and traps inside the dungeon that were killed and destroyed by the challengers would be returned back.

Generally, the dungeon owner had to power the energy from his profession sea or a dungeon reset stone.

However, Lucas didn't have a dungeon reset stone and he thought he had to rely on pouring the energy from his assassin sea as it had the highest capacity among all his other profession seas.

Nevertheless, the system helped him, saving him from expending some energy.

Just as he was feeling happy for the system's small reward, he saw a small fairy in a black gown appear in the mid-air and greet him while calling him 'Master'.

"You have no name?"

Lucas shook his head as he directly named it, "Freda"

The little fairy was happy with her name and before Lucas could ask her anything, she started explaining about the dungeon.

<Master, this used to be grade 5 dungeon; however, after master cleared it, it became a grade 1 and it is master's duty to upgrade it from here onwards>

"Hmm"

Lucas already knew that the dungeon grade will fall after clearing the dungeon; however, the higher its grade was before it was cleared, the higher its rewards will be at each grade.

Even if it was a grade one, it would give some good rewards once in a while.

<Master will receive the rewards from the dungeon whenever the dungeon core is completely filled with the energy and since it is filled, the master can receive the rewards now>

The little fairy revealed a smile on her face while asking Lucas, "Master, just say, 'open the rewards'."
