'What?'

Lucas was shocked with the assassinations he had to do to become a tier 5 lesser assassin.

For tier 2 lesser assassin, it was only 100, but after that, it would be doubled for each tier. It means, to reach tier 3, he had to assassinate 200, 400 for tier 4 and 800 for tier 5.

'So, in total, 1500 assassinations to become a tier 5 lesser assassin. Then what about the General assassin? Higher assassin and the Heavenly assassin? How many do I have to assassinate?'

Just thinking about the number made Lucas shiver a little.

Even though he was a deadly assassin in his previous life, he killed no more than 1000 assassinations but now, he had to kill 1500 just to become a tier 5 lesser assassin.

'No wonder, it was hated by the experts of the other professions. Anyway, since I have no talent in the Knight training, I will focus on it. In the end, having multiple professions will not hurt me.'

Lucas was curious about what natural treasure the three umbra wolves were guarding and rushed towards the sparrow.

"Huh? Are you excited about these small berries?"

Amidst many trees, there were three small trees of around only one meter in height. One these three small trees, there were many black-colour berries that were emitting bright glints under the moonlight.

Seeing that the Silent Phantom was excited, Lucas asked while pointing at the small berries on the small trees.

'Nods'

The black sparrow excitedly nodded its head.

'Let's see what these berries are.'

The old Lucas didn't have much knowledge of the berries or ingredients as he hated alchemy. So, the current Lucas could only use the system to check the berries.

          Item name:- Dark ember fruits.

          Effect on spirit beasts (Only for Dark elemental spirit beasts):- 

          1) Increases the dark energy inside their bodies.

          2) Continuous consumption of these fruits help the dark elemental spirit beasts evolve.

          Effect on humans (Only for humans who train in dark professions):-

          1) Random increment in the capacity of their Profession's seas (like assassin sea, Necromancer sea etc.)

          2) Instantly recovers 50 percent of energy in the profession's sea. 

'Holy heavens. These are really good fruits for dark elemental beings.' 

After seeing the name, he was surprised that they were not berries; instead, they were fruits; however, after seeing the effect of the fruits, he felt who cares whether they were fruits or berries.

As long as they are useful for him, he would take them.   

"What are you waiting for? Let's eat."

Lucas didn't know why the Silent Phantom didn't eat these berry-looking fruits. So, he asked to eat along with him.

"Huh? You are waiting for me?"

Lucas was surprised when he saw the actions of the small sparrow pointing its feathers at him.

Seeing that the Silent Phantom nodded its head, Lucas was speechless before shaking his head and saying, "Let's eat now."

As soon as he said that, both the bird and the man picked one small fruit to eat.

'Wait a second? Since it will help me recover 50 percent of assassin energy, I should summon my shadow clones.'

Lucas suddenly thought about it because currently, his assassin energy is nearly full. So, he wanted to deplete some of it as he wanted to see his shadow clones.

'Shadow clones'

With a thought, three silhouettes came out of his shadows and transformed into his facial features.

          100 units of assassin energy are depleted.

          Note:- After one hour, 30 units of assassin energy will be depleted and it would be doubled after that.

'They look perfectly like me.'

The shadow clones were so much alike and Lucas muttered, 'It will be good to confuse my enemies in the future.'

'Go and guard in three different locations.'

After giving the command to his shadow clones, Lucas looked at the fruit in his hand and ate it in one gulp.

'It is delicious.'

Generally, when something had good effects, its taste would be bad; however, the Dark ember fruit was delicious.

'Ding,

        The host consumed a dark ember fruit, his assassin sea's capacity is increased by 10 percent (100 units).

'Ding,

          Also, the host gained 500 units of assassin energy.

  'Ding,

          The host's assassin sea is full. Do you want to transfer the remaining energy into your pet?

'Huh?'

Looking at the series of system notifications, Lucas was pleasantly surprised as he was not expecting the 10 percent increment in his assassin sea.

'Will it not become a problem for Phantom to send my assassin energy?'

Lucas didn't agree as he asked the system about it.

        Host, the assassin energy is nothing but a type of dark energy and the Silent Phantom is a dark elemental spirit beast. So, it will be beneficial to the spirit beast.

'Oh'

Nodding his head, he placed his hands on the small sparrow on his shoulder.

'Ding,

        Transferring 300 units of dark elemental energy into the Silent Phantom.

The spirit beast, which had already gained a lot of energy from the fruit it consumed, received another wave of energy from Lucas.

'Swoosh'

As soon as the transfer of his remaining energy was completed, the Silent Phantom started glowing with bright black light.

'Huh? Is it evolving just like that?'

It was not Lucas' first time watching the evolution of a dark elemental spirit beast. So, he slowly sat down on the ground and waited for the Silent Phantom to complete its evolution.

'Looks like these fruits have a good effect on the dark elemental spirit beasts. I should give some of them to the Shadow dragon.'

While remaining as quiet as possible, Lucas thought about the guardian beast of the Hellmore family.

The more powerful the guardian beast is, the more confident Lucas would be when he goes against the powerful families and guilds.
