Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 106 - [Bonus ]Shadow Clones

'Moon essence absorber must help me absorb moon essence on its owner; however, I don't know whether it will be converted into Assassin power or Knight power or Magic power.'

'Shadow clones. Since it is a plural, I can at least summon two shadow clones but I don't have a clue about their battle prowess and how long they will be beside me.'

'As for Shadow swap, I think, it used this skill to escape from attack in the hidden valley.'

'Umbra beam looks like a long-range attack.'

'Shadow claw, I saw this skill used by the other dark elemental spirit beast earlier.'

Judging from the names of the skills, Lucas got a rough understanding of what they would do; however, he was still missing the exact information.

'Now, I can find some cultivation techniques for increasing the Assassin energy and Knight energy just like the magic energy. So, I can skip the first skill.'

'Shadow claw and Umbra beam can also be eliminated as I can either learn from attack spells or extract from the Knight's sacrifice.'

Within no time, Lucas rejected three skills and he only had two skills to select now.

'Shadow swap is a good evasive skill but Shadow clones will help me do more things in less time.'

Lucas thought for a few moments before selecting the skill 'Shadow clones' because as the family head of the Hellmore family, he has so many things.

Even though it seemed like he didn't have anything much to do other than hunting in the wilderness, soon, it would change as he had some big plans to become a powerful family in the Silverstone town.

It was the small goal he set for himself and the quicker he achieved that goal, the sooner he could find the traces of the Mysterious organization that kidnapped his little brother.

'I wonder what he is doing right now.'

This of his little brother, Lucas could not help but sigh; however, he came out of his thoughts because there was no use pondering much about it.

'Coming back to the skills, I can even use Shadow clones to escape if the enemy is too powerful.'

From all aspects, Lucas felt 'Shadow clones' is a more useful skill than 'Shadow swap'.

'System, I select the skill 'Shadow clones'.'

After coming to a conclusion, Lucas said to the system.

'Ding,

The skill 'Shadow clones' is extracted successfully.

'Ding,

Skill name:- Shadow clones (level 1).

Effect:- The user of this skill can summon three shadow clones with 100 percent of the user's strength and they can remain forever.

Note:- However, the shadow clones consumption rate of the assassin energy doubles for every hour.

Cost:- 100 units of Assassin energy to summon three shadow clones.

Note:- 1) After the first hour, each shadow clone consumes 10 units of Assassin energy and it will be doubled with each passing hour.

                    2) The shadow clones only have the fighting experience of the user but not skills or spells or whatsoever.

        'Huh? Interesting.'

Lucas was surprised when he saw that he could not only summon one extra shadow clone from his initial assumption. What's more, each shadow clone has exactly the same strength as him.

'However, they can't use skills or spells. So, that makes the skill not over-powered. As for the cost of the shadow clones for each hour, it is to be expected. Overall, I picked a good skill.'

Finally, Lucas thought he made the right decision.

'I will use this skill later as I want to save the Assassin energy.'

Since he had to spend the complete night in the Viscount grounds, Lucas didn't bother to use his new skill as it consumes a lot.

'I can use this skill after my Assassin sea is completely filled.'

Nevertheless, he had some plans in his head on how to make good use of his new skill.

Currently, his Knight sea, Assassin sea and Magic sea will naturally gain 10 units of the respective energy per hour without any external cultivation technique.

So, as long as his Assassin sea is filled, he could use the 'Shadow clones' skill to summon one shadow clone; instead of three shadow clones.

'Even though the cost for a shadow clone will be double, I will be compensated with 10 units of assassin energy. In this way, I can use a shadow clone for seven hours and still have around 350 units of assassin energy.'

'Also, I can always use three shadow clones when I need them.'

With that thought in his head, Lucas rushed towards the hidden valley.

'I think I can use this hidden valley to wait until the morning.'

Even though he was able to move without any problem, Lucas knew very well that the true predators of the Viscount grounds were yet to come out of hiding.

So, he finally thought of hiding in the Hidden valley until morning.

'Ding,

Unlike the 'Knight training', the 'Assassin training' requires the host to assassinate a specific number of living beings to increase his assassin rank.

'Huh?'

Lucas was not expecting any system notifications, so when he received one, he was surprised as he read it.

'No wonder, the assassin profession is hated by all the experts of the other profession.'

This was the first thought that came to his head because an assassin could assassinate fellow humans to increase their rank.

'To become stronger in a short time, I will follow any method and save my little brother.'

Lucas was not like others and he was used to assassination to the point where he even wanted to give up; however, things changed with the kidnapping of his little brother.

'So, how many assassinations?'

Since there were some experience points in the weapon mastery for the 'Knight training', Lucas guessed there would be something similar to the 'Assassin training'. So, he asked about it.

'Ding,

To become a tier 2 lesser assassin, the host has to assassinate 100 living beings and after that, with each increment in a tier, the number will be doubled until he reaches tier 5.

'What?'
