Shinobi From Hell

Chapter 144 - Fooled Eyes

Shizo's eyes followed Gozoto's fingers. The puppets appeared like small buttons from so far away.

"My powers huh? Let's see if I can hit that far from here."

"You can get closer if you want. There are no instructions for how you use your ability. You would probably know that better than me."

But Shizo shook her head.

"Nope, It's fine from here. I have to show Sis that I am strong!" Shizo clasped her fingers into a fist.

'Sis?' Gozoto could only tilt his head to the side.

Others were in a similar confused state but for a different reason.

No one had noticed those puppets till now, since they were never used and were quite far off. But once Gozoto pointed towards them at the distance everyone had their attention fixed on the targets.

*Crackle*

Sparks began to appear around Shizo's yukata as her sleeves seemed to defy gravity and stood up. Her hair that was tied up by a single hair band similarly fluttered in the air. Her eyes glowed in white as her pupils disappeared.

*Crackle*

The thunder made crackling noises as it manifested in the air.

*ZAAAAAAP*

A thundering noise resounded through the fields causing some of them to jump in fright.

Those very sparks had travelled from her body at high speed not waiting until they zapped the two targets far ahead. It was as if the targets acted like conductors and had a roaring thunder falling on them.

No one was sure what material they were made of but as soon as the thunder hit they lit up in fire before being completely obliterated.

Those close enough to properly witness her powers had their jaw falling out. Their eyes popped out wide at her show of power.

'What was that!' Verona thought. No words she had could explain the unusualness of the situation.

But not Klautz who had only wrinkles appearing on his forehead.

'As I suspected. She is second gen. But what is she doing here so early on?'

The newbies in 'newbie drill' not only included the new summons but also the 'second gen'. Though they appeared at a later date once the newbies get a bit used to their situations.

If the 'Residents' were the summoned earthlings who had settled in hell. Then the Second Gen were the next generation of humans who were born amongst them. These are the humans that had no days on earth and had spent their entire life in Hell.

While the ninja villages didn't have any second Gen and relied solely on the summonings for new recruits. The same wasn't true for the Guilds. And while the newbies relied on the tutorial zone to have a starting boost in strength. The strength of the second Gen vastly depended on which guild they were born in and how they were nurtured by their parents and the guild.

How was Klautz able to pinpoint so accurately that she was a 'second gen'?

'There are no mages in the tutorial zone.'

Klautz knew this better than any other newbie. Neither magic based nor ninja based skills were available in the tutorial.

"You can leave now. I still don't understand why you came so early though." Gozoto said as he noted her perks and knitted his brows.

But all he received was a smile from Shizu. Smiles like them might move someone's heart but this one was meant to brush off Gozoto's question.

"That's a secret," Shizu winked.

She walked to the others. Her yukata fluttered, showcasing her elegance. She did not have the fright stricken appearance that everyone bore after being subjected to Gozoto's pressure.

"Next!"

Gozoto called out making Klautz step in. Walking to Gozoto he had to create his entry giving away his name and age.

Meanwhile...

"I am strong aren't I?" Shizu asked, bending her arms as if flexing her non-existent muscles.

It was evident that she had a rather thin and feminine constitution even though her yukata hides most of it.

"Pfft." Selena couldn't help but laugh seeing her comical act. "Yes, you are really strong."

"He He."

Somehow making Selena laugh was enough to make her blossom into a smile.

"Then big Sis can rely on me if she gets into any sort of trouble."

Selena's laugh came to an abrupt halt as she stared at Shizu's eyes. Does she mean it? That was what came to Selena's mind.

From her experience back at the tutorial zone, she knew that it was hard for someone to help you when that person saw no benefit from you. She even had to use her body to survive making Klautz her ally.

She gave a tight lipped smile to Shizu.

"Klautz is reliable enough for me. But if I really get into a sticky situation then I will be sure to not be shy and ask for your help."

"He He."

"Give it everything you have got!" Gozoto ordered Klautz.

Klautz nodded as he walked towards the equipment.

'You might be coaxing people by promising them better resources. But that won't work on me. I will take with me more than what you can even dream to give.'

*Bam*

Klautz punched the bag holding his punch back to a greater degree. He had no intentions to give away his stats. But were things so easy?

If it was someone else he would not have been able to fool the eyes of a powerhouse like Gozoto with years of battle experience. But Klautz was trained in deceit in hell. To pull off something like this was easy for him. Gozoto had no chance in figuring out that he had held back.

[Level 3]

The message popped up and Gozoto took a similar note. Klautz should have scored a level 7 considering his [Strength] stat. Klautz had fooled his eyes for good. But was that all?
