Shinobi From Hell

Chapter 104 - Wolf Boy

"Why are you doing this, Eli? You must stop. This is not you!"

Dead bodies were lying all over which signified what the boy meant. The air was heavy and smelled of blood.

Eli took a deep sniff as the bloody air drifted into her nose. Her twin tails swayed as her face got relaxed.

"Hmm...Why am I doing this? Ha ha,"  the girl laughed.

"Would you believe me, If I told you it gives me pleasure? Humans can be so warm especially when they are dying. Imagine someone dying in your arms. They cannot betray you, they cannot abandon you. All they have is you even when they die so much so that you can feel their warmth even though they might be your enemy. Isn't this bliss?"

"What?"

Klautz raised his brows so high that his forehead almost disappeared.

"Isn't this…" he whispered. Indeed those words, he had heard them somewhere before in his past. It was the same words Armand used to say. Was this some kind of fate? He had killed Armand in such a forest and yet again he had found him in a similar one.

But there was something else.

"But neither do I remember him to be a girl nor his name to be Eli, don't tell me the name Armand had been an alias all along? Or maybe Eli is an alias..."

Klautz had never checked for Armand's gender even after he had killed him in his previous life. He looked very much like a man. So Klautz believed that it was a piece of unimportant information but now he was thinking otherwise. What's more? Armand was much taller than this girl.

Klautz had always been to save humanity from the demons. It doesn't matter what ways he had to employ to do this. There are a lot of poisons in the human society. It was these people whose jealousy had made the society to crumble. Klautz had to kill them before they could sow the seeds the of disdain.

Armand was on the top rank in his kill list. If she is Armand or is like him in any way then he would kill her. But Klautz chose not to be so hasty as he followed the conversation…

"Eli, you can't go around killing people! It's a... a heinous thing to do!" The boy said as he stuttered in finding words to persuade her.

Eli broke out in laughter.

She wiped those tears that had come out of her eyes cause of how funny the boy's efforts seemed to her.

"Didn't you read the rules of this stage before? Killing is very much what it wanted from us," Eli's laughed like a parrot as she saw the world through her half closed eyes.

The boy narrowed his eyes.

"If that's the case, why won't you kill me?" He wrapped his hands around his chest.

"Hmph! Don't be haughty Stefan! You should be grateful that remembering old times I am letting you be, or else you would have been dead by now." She curled her hands to a fist.

Stefan and Eli had been from the same safe zone. He had known her to be a kind and gentle girl. Yet why she became like this in this stage? Stefan had no idea. And this was not the only group Eli had massacred. Stefan had been chasing after her ever since he arrived at this stage and he had seen her murder quite a few.

"Now hand over that woman to me." She said as she curled her index fingers beckoning the woman towards her.

The woman was hiding behind Stefan. She was the last of her group who was alive. There were five of them. Four already mercilessly died at the hands of Eli and it was her turn. That was when Stefan made his entry and that's how they ended up like this.

All of Eli's killing intent was directed towards the woman. Stefan never came under her interest. The woman squealed as she hid behind the boy trying to forget the terrifying face of the girl at the moment. Stefan was her only solace.

"You can't kill her as long as I stand. If you want to kill her you have to kill me first!" Stefan cupped his hands as he gritted his teeth making his resolve.

The woman's pupils shook as she watched the boy's heroic stance. She wondered what made Stefan make these claims. They were but strangers to each other. Why would Stefan be prepared to lay down his life for her?

Little did she know that Stefan's objective was more to stop Eli's massacre than to save anyone. Many like her have already died to her hands as evident with the corpses around.

Eli smirked.

"Ho, ho. We have a knight in shining armour, don't we? Do you wish to woo her with this?" Eli laughed.

"Huh? The boy loosened his stance. You know better than anyone that's not the case. Your way of saying it will make people misunderstand!"

"You are making it as if I am suspicious," he exclaimed.

"Why not? Aren't you going to have your way with her after you are done with me?" She smirked followed by a light chuckle.

"Heuk!" The woman choked on her own words as she stared at Stefan in disbelief. If Eli's motive was to sow the seed of disbelief in her heart then, she had succeeded by a great margin.

"I will never!" The boy screamed in denial.

The veins on Stefan's fist bulged out in anger and denial. His face transformed as white fur began protruding from it. He had ears coming out from the top of his head and his nose transformed into a black one. He had claws instead of his nails and he got half a feet taller than usual.
