Secret Killer

Chapter 92 - Bad Move

Leon climbed up the building and jumped to the stairway of the floor that had the laboratory.

For some reason, Leon thought he would get his cure in the laboratory rather than the hospital. However, to find the cure, he first needed to figure out its cause. That's why, he came to the laboratory for the tests.

It was still only 7 AM in the morning, and the chances of the laboratories being open were less. However, Leon went to the laboratory because he saw the lights of the office turning on and the curtains opening. He was certain that there was someone in the laboratory.

Leon had come back to his senses when he was having sex with Mika. It calmed him down because he realized there were people who loved him and wanted him.

Leon stood in front of the laboratory door and tried to hear any sound to figure out how many people were there. But much to his demise, it was silent.

Leon glanced around to see if there were other offices around or not. Then, he looked at all the corners to confirm no cameras were around.

Once everything was checked, Leon swung his kick to break the door, but he stopped just as his leg was about to hit the door.

'I will open it in a normal way, 'he decided.

Leon held the knob and the handle of the door and push-opened the door with brute force.

Of course, the lock broke, but it didn't break the door, nor did it make any noise.

Leon didn't want to alert whoever was in there. After all, there was a chance that the person might call the cops, and he would never get a chance to cure his problem.

Leon closed the door behind him and slowly walked in with quiet steps. However, upon searching the entire office, Leon couldn't find anyone.

"..."

'I am pretty sure I had seen the curtain move…' Leon noticed that the ceiling fan was on, and it was moving at a low speed.

'There is a chance that the curtains moved because of the wind, but what about the light? The light wouldn't automatically turn on, would it?'

Leon walked to the window of the curtains that had moved.

'The wind is not reaching here, so…'

As Leon was inspecting the office, the light turned on automatically.

'Hmm. so it was a motion sensor light…'

Leon sighed with a groan and prepared to leave the office. However, just as he was about to open the door, he stopped and turned around.

'Just kidding…' Leon smirked inwardly. 'I know there is someone here, hiding somewhere.'

Leon once again searched through the entire office but couldn't find any lead or proof of anyone being there.

'If it was me…' Leon glanced around the room and completed his thought; 'Where would I hide?'

'I made sure not to make any noise to alert the person inside. But they must have seen the knob of the door moving. So where could a person hide in such a short amount of time?'

Leon stood on the spot the chemicals were tested in the flask. There was a burette filled with purple-colored liquid, and it was dropping one drop every ten seconds. The flask was filled with blue-colored, but every drop from the burette was slowly making it red.

There was a paper beside it in which the results of the titrations were written.

After seeing that, Leon was sure that there was someone other than in this room.

Leon had two options. He could either make a mess out of the office and find the person, or he could stay put in one corner and wait for the person to come out.

However, Leon didn't like either of the options. So he chose to stay put and make a mess of the place.

Leon started destroying everything, but he forgot to stay silent.

Once he had destroyed many glass equipment and spilled the chemicals, he heard a voice from behind.

"Don't drop that. It contains a deadly chemical that turns into gas upon contact with the air. And it will kill both of us."

Leon turned around to see a little girl who was wearing a lab coat.

"Where are you parents, kid?" Leon asked in a calm voice.

"First, put that bottle down," she said with an anxious look on her face.

Leon placed the bottle on the counter and asked again, "Where are your parents?"

"I don't know." She shrugged her shoulders and said, "Maybe doing some experiments overseas?"

"Then who are you here with?" Leon asked while glancing around. "Call that person here."

"I am alone," she replied.

"What are you doing here then, kid?" Leon asked with a sigh.

"I am not a kid!" she yelled with a frowned face.

Leon raised his brows and walked to the girl. He stood in front of her to compare his height, and the girl was barely up to his chest.

Leon furrowed his brows and asked, "I will ask it again, nicely. Who are you here with?"

"As I said, I am alone…" the girl replied with a little nervous face.

"There is no way you are alone here…" Leon grabbed the piece of glass from the counter and raised his hand at the girl before saying, "if you don't come out, I will kill her!"

As soon as Leon said that, the little girl grabbed a piece of glass from the counter and stabbed Leon with it.

"Why you…!"

The girl noticed Leon's wound immediately healed. However, she didn't look surprised. She grabbed an injection filled with red goo and stabbed it on Leon's chest.

"You little—!" Leon stabbed the little girl with the glass, or so he wanted to, but his body suddenly stopped moving.

Leon looked at his hand, and it was still in the air, but he wasn't responding.

"What was in that injection?!" Leon yelled on top of his lungs.

The little girl smiled innocently at Leon and poked his body with her middle finger. Leon's body fell to the ground with a thud as though his body had become light and weak.

"I am a scientist who researches bioweapons, and you…" she took Leon's blood in injection and said, "You seem to have superpowers."
