Secret Killer

After killing Ray, Leon was about to leave the crime scene, but he saw the guard coming his way who had noticed Leon. The guard had his transceiver with him, and Leon didn't want him to call for backup.

Leon placed his hand on his face and changed his expression to a dumb, innocent, and oblivious bystander who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Help!" he yelled and walked to the guard. He pointed his finger at Ray's lifeless body in the swimming pool and said, "He fell in the pool."

The guard glanced at the pool and then at Leon. He furrowed his brows and hurried to the pool.

"How did this happen?" the guard asked in a panic.

"I don't know. I was simply passing by, and I saw this guy slipping into the pool. Then he started screaming," Leon asserted with an anxious look on his face, although he was only pretending to act like that. Still, his acting was excellent.

"I could have helped him, but I don't know how to swim. But now that you are here, I can go into the pool. Help me to get out, though." Leon tried to jump into the pool, but the guard stopped him.

"Don't!" the guard shouted with a concerned look on his face. He pointed his finger at the electric cord and said, "You will die if you jump."

"Does… that… mean…." Leon looked at Ray's body and started sweating with a horrified look on his face. However, he was smirking from the inside.

"I will go turn off the electricity first," the guard stated.

'Not so fast.' Leon was going to push the guard into the pool too. He didn't want any witnesses of his crimes. Even if the guard hadn't seen Leon committing the crime, he did see him as a first suspect.

Leon slowly moved his hand to the guard, and he was about to push him, but something unexpected happened.

"We will have to check the CCTV footage to see what exactly happened here," the guard uttered.

Leon stopped his hand and knitted his brows. 'Impossible! There are no cameras—'

Leon looked up at the side and saw a newly added camera. Not only there, but the cameras were recently installed in the entire campus, including the parking area and the backside of the college. And, the repairing work Leon had seen was nothing other than the installation work of the cameras.

'Shit!' He let out a deep sigh and shook his head in disbelief. He couldn't believe he made such a mistake. He was so occupied with keeping an eye on Ray and thinking of various plans that he missed the possibility of newly added cameras.

The guard turned to Leon and said, "I will turn off the electricity of this cord. You, stay here."

Leon nodded in response, and the guard went away. After confirming that the guard had truly gone away, Leon ran inside the campus and hurriedly walked to the monitoring room.

'I need to clear all evidence before the entire college gets to know about this incident, and they pull up footage of me throwing and killing that piece of shit.'

Fortunately for Leon, he knew every corner of the college, so he didn't have to waste his time to find the monitoring room. Without wasting any more seconds, Leon started running in the hallways filled with students and teachers.

When he reached the corridor where the monitoring room was, he bumped into another guard whose face turned pale after seeing Leon.

'He saw the footage, didn't he?'

The guard had seen the footage, and he was on this way to call the officials. However, now that he had seen Leon, his top priority was to save his life.

The guard entered the room nearest to him and closed the door. When Leon entered the room, he saw the guard exiting the room from the other door.

Leon sighed and muttered, "So you want to play tag-tag, huh?"

Leon rushed after the guard, who was desperately trying to run for his life. He was simply a guard doing his job, but he saw something he shouldn't have, which made him Leon's next target.

Judging by the pattern of how the guard was running in directions, Leon had a pretty firm idea where the guard was going to end up. So Leon took another route and closed the door from the outside. Then, he hid in the corner and waited for the guard to enter the room from the other door.

When the guard entered the room, Leon quietly followed the guard and closed the door behind him. The guard froze after seeing Leon and desperately tried to open the other door. However, Leon had locked it from the outside, and there was only one way out, that was to leave from the door he entered.

"Hehe!" Leon laughed aloud sinisterly. "Nowhere to run, you poor soul."

The guard started trembling after hearing Leon's bone-chilling voice and seeing his blood-curdling smile on his face.
