The Zhang and the Su families probably knew it all along. They just played along and kept it on the downlow. Afterall, cheating with one’s sister-in-law was a big scandal and would ruin the reputations of both families should words get out. After a little while, she took a deep breath and said, “You are right. You are not my son but the son of my sister.” One way or another, she couldn’t not admit to the fact that she was Su QinMei. So her only other option was to portray him as the son of Su QinMei.

There was still hesitation in her tone at the beginning but then it flowed more and more smoothly. “As such, it is only normal that I hate you. You are the child from the other woman and reminded me of my husband’s transgression. So how could I be fond of you?!” That was right. She must be Su QinYing!
