He thought about everything that had happened in the past year and came to the conclusion that everything hinged upon the jadeite bracelet. In his dream, he was tricked by Jiang YaGe and had stolen his mother’s bracelet for her, and everything else took place after that. This time around, he was told by his mother that the bracelet was lost. YaGe was extremely disappointed when she heard the news but, as there was no bracelet, she had to give up on it.

He could see it clearly now. The truth couldn’t have been clearer in his mind right now. His mother right now was the one that was sent to the mental institution by himself and his father, right? That was why she was able to anticipate everything like she could see into the future, able to set his father up time and again and, finally, divorcing him. She was even able to let Jiang YaGe and Wang Xiao walked into their own traps. It started raining cats and dogs outside all of a sudden and some rain got inside the room and hit him. He felt very cold, as though he was naked in a winter storm. Shuddering, he closed the window. The lighting that split the sky into halves lit up his pale face.

To think that he was so filled with confidence just a day ago. And, now, his confidence was like a flower after a rain storm – barely standing and covered in mud. He was painfully aware that if his speculation was correct, his mother would never forgive him in this lifetime. What was he thinking at the time?! How could he let them died such tragic deaths for someone like Jiang YaGe?

His mother, his sister, Zhong Yi… … he was too shameful to ever show up in front of them again.

She waited for a few days and discovered that Li ShiZe seemed to have disappeared. She sent men to look into it but all she was able to find was that he had taken off from City S on a flight two days ago.

Fang JunRong waited for a few more days and still nothing from Li ShiZe. She had no choice but to put this aside for the time being.

On the other sides, Jiang WenYu had completed another thesis statement. This was one that was mostly completed before he returned to the Zhang family. Now that it was completely done and that he had reviewed it a few times, he sent it over to Nature and Science.

With their efficiency, Fang JunRong estimated that it would be a month or two before it was published. This was the time that Jiang WenYu had in set a trap for Zhang Bi.

Granted, had Zhang Bi not had any evil thoughts at all, he would never fall for said trap.

A scandal such as plagiarizing someone else’s research result ought to be sufficient to end Zhang Bi’s career.
