Chapter 278 – Nevermind. There is value in his existence. (1)

After Jiang WenYu departed from the Zhang’s, he turned on his cellphone and started monitoring what was going on inside of his laboratory. He had added a few cameras around his laboratory. There was a total of six cameras in the tiny laboratory, four of them were installed by the Zhang’s for the sake of monitoring him. These cameras were, naturally, difficult to find by a layman. Nevertheless, with the professional investigators that Jiang WenYu had around him, it was a waste of talent for them to locate cameras.

Once he had located them, he, too, installed a few cameras in areas where they were hidden from those cameras. As the saying goes, the mantis catches the cicada, but the oriole is waiting behind.

From the video on his cellphone, Chang Xin turned on his computer half an hour after he left the office and jotted down something as he read on the screen.

Sitting in the car, Jiang WenYu pondered. So Zhang Bi’s purpose was to find out what he was working on?

No, given Zhang Bi’s personality, he would not stop at only curious about what he was working on. He was not above plagiarism. He had, after all, colluded with Li WangJin in an attempt to steal the formula of Beautify Pills in the past. It was obvious that someone like him had no bottom line to speak of.

If that was Zhang Bi’s intention, however, then Jiang WenYu had no problem taking advantages of this to teach him a hard lesson.

Turning off his cellphone, he closed his eyes for a quick break. He had been researching on yunying and its other usage recently and been getting ready for his next publication. He has, however, yet to start on that.

He arrived at a hotel an hour later. Walking inside of the hotel, he gave the workers the name of the room and he was led to the location. Fang JunRong was already waiting for him there. She looked up and gave him a slight smile when she saw him. When he saw her smile, a lot of the unhappy feeling that he had accumulated over that the Zhang’s was gone.

Fang JunRong seemed to have some special power. She made those close to her feel peaceful.

“It didn’t look like the Zhang’s had been treating you well.”

Fang JunRong frowned a little. She had worked very hard for him to gain a little bit of weight but he had lost it all in just a week. Getting him to gain weight was hard work!

“Not exactly. It’s been hot later and I had poor appetite,” said Jiang WenYu. Besides, over that the Zhang’s, he could relax entirely even with bodyguards around him.

“I’ll send over more fruits then,” said Fang JunRong immediately. He was a precious researcher for her. She must take good care of him.

She pulled out a document folder and handed it over to Jiang WenYu. “I think you need to know these.”

At least this would allow time for Jiang WenYu to calm himself and not let it show after he returned to the Zhang’s. She would not try to stop him from exacting his revenge either. After all, nobody can make that decision for anyone else. If she was in Jiang WenYu’s shoes, she, too, would choose to stop at nothing until her revenge had been exacted.

She told Jiang WenYu everything that she had discovered. She did not keep anything from him nor did she embellish any.

When she was done talking, she stood up and walked out of the room, leaving Jiang WenYu some room to let his emotions out. It was not healthy to bottle everything up. She could relate to Jiang WenYu’s feeling. In the novel, Jiang YaGe was the female lead and, from Fang JunRong’s perspective, both her and Jiang WenYu were the villainous cannon fodders.

Everybody knew of what happened to them and felt justified and fulfilling. They had no idea the blood and tears behind them.

The hotel had a small courtyard and it was delicate like the gardens in the south. Standing under the sun, Fang JunRong looked quietly at the lake that was not too far away from her. She returned to the room about half an hour later.

When she returned, the corners of Jiang WenYu’s eyes were a little red but, judging from the way he looked, he seemed to have already calmed down. Fang JunRong was very sensitive with her five senses right now. She could pick up a hint of blood in the air. She looked down and at Jiang WenYu’s hand. She could see blood on his palm, apparently from his nails digging inside of it.

A little moved, she took out her White Jade Cream and placed it in front of Jiang WenYu.
