Chapter 169 – His life was ruined, by an evil woman! (3)

“It’s you, Young Master.”

Li WangJin was the oldest at home and Uncle Wang had always referred to him as Young Master.

“Uncle Wang,” said Li WangJin in a low voice. “I’m here to visit my mom and dad.” Li WangJin was still respectful toward this man who had watched him grown up.

Uncle Wang looked at him, hesitated for a little bit, and said, “A little bit of set back is not the end of the world. I trust that you will be able to fight your way back.” Uncle Wang didn’t go online much but with everybody at the Li’s talking about Li WangJin, he had a pretty good idea of what was going on.

Li WangJin’s facial muscles twitched a few times and finally stopped himself from saying what was on his mind. At his age, it wasn’t going to be easy to climb back up to the apex.

Uncle Wang was still grumbling over there. “At least your situation now was much better than when you were in college after you have failed in your investment and didn’t even have any money left for your living expenses but were too prideful to ask for help from home. Both Master and Madam were worried about you and wanted to give you money but they were also worried that if Old Mr. Li found out, you would fail your test with him. They finally had to ask your classmate to slip you money privately.”

Li WangJin flashed back to his college days from Uncle Wang’s words. In looking back, those days really weren’t that bad. Except that half way through listening to Uncle Wang’s recounting of the event, he noticed that something was off. He asked, “What money? My folks sent me money before?”

How was it that he didn’t remember any of this?

Uncle Wang nodded. “Yeah. They didn’t want to transfer the money to you, worrying that that might leave a trail. They took out some cash purposefully and asked a girl in your class to give it to you, along with a letter.”

Li WangJin had a bad feeling all of a sudden. He asked in a deep voice, “What was the girl’s name?”

Uncle Wang was old and it was amazing enough that he even remembered the incident, let along the name of the girl from his class.

“Was her name Wang SiEr?”

“Yeah, yeah, I think so. She did give the money to you, right?”

Li WangJin’s facial muscles twitched and he looked like he was about to cry. It was Wang SiEr… So the money that she had given him was from his folks, it wasn’t her lending him her hard-earned money after all.

“How much did my folks give me then?” There was hatred in his voice. The hatred, however, was aimed toward the now-dead Wang SiEr.

“10,000 yuan.” Uncle Wang remembered that clearly.

“I sent someone to inform you of it afterward. Did you not meet the guy?”

Li WangJin clenched his fists tightly and his eyes were filled with anger. Wang SiEr had given him 6,000 yuan at the time and pocked 4,000 yuan herself. An amount equivalent to a several years’ income of a normal person. As for the man sent by Uncle Wang, he had no memory of that. Possibly that Wang SiEr had something to do with that as well.

All these years he had appreciated the help that he had received from Wang SiEr and had reserved the most special place in his heart for her. In the past, she was his white moonlight. But that was all a lie.

She was a thief! And a liar! She was exactly the same as her daughter Jiang YaGe.

If he was lied to, he would never have her in his special place all these years. He even brough Jiang YaGe into his house, and looked at Wang SiXian as her replacement, which eventually led to him wronging his wife who was good to him.

All of his feelings over the years were nothing but a joke. His life was ruined, in the hands of a very evil woman.

He heard a buzzing noise in his ears and then nothing else. All his blood seemed to have frozen and everything in front of him went dark and his body fell backward stiffly.
