Rebirth: Ghost Exorciser

Chapter 116 - Burial Mound, Seeing Ghosts

Chapter 116: Burial Mound, Seeing Ghosts

They turned on the flashlight function on their phones and livestreamed outside the tomb for a long time, from 5:30 until 8:00 in the evening. They wandered through almost the whole area before they finally found the entrance to the tomb.

Lu Chengfu’s right eyelid kept twitching as he looked at the dark tomb entrance. He felt extremely uneasy and jumpy. The tomb entrance was like a hibernating beast with its bloody mouth wide open. It looked very eerie, as if the dark entrance would immediately close as long as someone entered.

Lu Chengfu’s heart really trembled at that moment. He was already no longer in the mood to search for mysterious secret manuals in the tomb. Without waiting for Wang Xuewen to suggest that they enter, he hurriedly said to Qi Hao and Jian Chongying, “Haozi, Chongying, why don’t we go back? I don’t feel too…” Before he could even utter the word “good,” his eyes, which had never left the entrance of the tomb, saw a pair of completely white eyes flash in the dark cave as they stared fixedly at him, as well as a strange smile. It scared Lu Chengfu so much that he stumbled and fell to the ground, his face deathly pale. “I’m not going in, I’m not going in, there’s a ghost! A ghost!”

It was Qi Hao and Jian Chongying who immediately helped Lu Chengfu up. Looking at Qi Hao and Jian Chongying like he was clutching at life-saving straws, Lu Chengfu immediately said, “Haozi, Chongying, there’s really a ghost. I just saw a pair of eyes staring at me from the entrance of the tomb. Haozi, let’s go back, alright? Maybe what the driver said before is true!”

The more Lu Chengfu thought about it, the more scared he became. Veins bulged on the back of his hands as he tugged at Qi Hao and Jian Chongying, refusing to let go. He didn’t care that the livestream was still running, and cried that he wanted to go back.

The group looked at the entrance of the tomb. Where were the eyes?

They looked at each other. Qi Hao and Jian Chongying consoled Lu Chengfu on the side. “Chengfu, you’re mistaken. There’s nothing!”

On the side, Wang Xuewen, Si Yinghua, and the women took Lu Chengfu’s fright for a monkey show. Wang Xuewen gloated and laughed at his misfortune while saying, “Chengfu, you have so little guts; are you a man? How can we not go in after reaching this entrance? Those who don’t go in are dogs or animals.”

Si Yinghua and Sun Jiezhen also echoed him from the side. “Exactly, those who don’t go in are animals. Besides, where did those eyes come from? You’re just imagining things and scaring yourself!”

Jiang Meng and Chen Bing also laughed and teased Wang Xuewen and Si Yinghua. “This brother of yours is too cowardly! Is he even more afraid than us women? What did he eat growing up? Fine, forget it, we’ll go in first. It’s up to them whether they want to leave or stay. We don’t have time to waste on them!”

After that, Wang Xuewen, Si Yinghua, Sun Jiezhen, Chen Bing, and Jiang Meng said goodbye to Qi Hao and Jian Chongying, then walked toward the tomb.

Lu Chengfu saw them walk toward the tomb entrance, and the closer they got, the more his heart sank and turned cold.

Seeing Wang Xuewen and the others leave, Qi Hao and Jian Chongying were a bit anxious. After all, it was better for everyone to stay together in this dark place.

Qi Hao and Jian Chongying looked at each other and were prepared to take Lu Chengfu to the tomb entrance. Qi Hao said consolingly, “We’re already here. Wouldn’t it be a shame if you don’t go in and take a look? We haven’t livestreamed yet!”

Jian Chongying also echoed him. “Chengfu, you’re just scaring yourself. If something really happened, didn’t we also bring a lot of talismans? What are you afraid of?”

Qi Hao and Jian Chongying expressed several times that they didn’t want to be looked down on by fans and Wang Xuewen’s group. It was just entering a tomb; what was there to be afraid of?

Eventually, Lu Chengfu gave a calm nod. Most importantly, even if he didn’t want to go in, he didn’t dare go back alone at that moment. He finally nodded, but the closer he got to the entrance of the tomb, the hotter his chest became. When the three of them entered the tomb, Lu Chengfu felt as if his chest was on fire. He hurriedly dug into his clothes and pulled out the talisman which Qi Hao had given to him just now.

Wang Xuewen, Si Yinghua and the others hadn’t gone too far in yet. Wang Xuewen came over and hurriedly had them follow, gloating and teasing Lu Chengfu a little before he left.

Lu Chengfu was about to reply, but when he raised his eyes, he suddenly saw that Wang Xuewen, who was walking in the middle, had his eyes rolled back so only the whites were showing, and bright red blood was flowing out of his seven orifices. He turned his head and gave an eerie smile. He was holding a knife that had come from who knew where, and stood hunched next to a stone pillar on which he was sharpening the blade. The sharp edge of the knife reflected his incomparably pale face and his ghastly and strange smile grew wider and wider.

Lu Chengfu almost blacked out in fright and pissed his pants. His face changed drastically as he grabbed Qi Hao and Jian Chongying and hissed hoarsely, “I want to go back! I want to go back!”

“F*ck, what’s wrong with you, man? What are you staring at?”
