Chapter 452: Infiltration

Chapter 452: Infiltration

The Hidden Paradise was slowly turning into a real, thriving city, and with the information, Shane provided, the authorities had decided to purchase the world tree seedling.

However, it was under the condition that devouring the silver soul world core allows the Hidden Paradise to accommodate the treant and ancient magi trees.

In the end, the treants were not much of a problem because Shane could simply open a portal to the Hidden Paradise.

The ancient magi trees would pose a real problem because their roots were tens, maybe even over a hundred meters deep in the ground.

As such, they couldn’t be simply uprooted and Shane was hoping that devouring the silver soul world core would merge his small soul world with the silver world core.

A merging process was the only thing he could truly wish for because it would allow him to prevent many issues.

While thinking about the silver world core and the size of the secret realm, Shane was unable to suppress his excitement, and he smiled lightly as he finished scribbling down everything he could think of.

These notes were not only about the Creator’s reason to lure him to the planet Megane had been sent to, but also about the other information he had received.

Shane could have never imagined that his brain would be able to store or process so much information, but the sheer amount of new information inside him was extremely helpful but also tormenting.

He had found out that the races called Intermediate and Advanced were not even considered strong in comparison to some beings that could annihilate entire stellar systems with a single snap of their fingers.

Amongst the bulk of information Shane had received, there was a memory of a ginormous planet destroyed in an extremely simple manner at that.

Said ginormous planet was hundreds of times larger than Igra, yet, it had been unable to take on a single attack of a being that had looked similar to the Creator.

Shaking his head, Shane returned his attention back to the more important facts.

‘I’ll finish sorting my thoughts once this whole mess is cleared…I will have more than enough time to think about all of it properly then…’

Now was not the time to remain idle, instead, it was the time to return to work, or to be precise, to let his soul world work!

Somehow he got the feeling that it was best to enter the secret realm before doing anything else.

This was only his gut feeling but it made him ignore the fact that he had yet to speak with Levi and ask her about leaving with them.

To him, this was at least as important as the secret realm itself because Levi could protect them from strong beasts while they started to civilise a new place, and at the same time Lily, the young Leviathan would survive Igra’s destruction.

It was a win-win situation, and not something both sides could simply ignore.

Nevertheless, Shane was drawn to the secret realm which made him take out the Space door and enter it without any hesitation.

After emerging inside the secret realm, Shane took a deep breath, expecting the distinct scent of wood and leaves that came off the treants and magic tree.

Yet, what caused his eyes to widen was the smell of burned wood that reached his nose.

The Space door was placed right next to the small cavern entrance that led to the silver soul world core, but Shane couldn’t care less about that right now.

Opening his eyes, he turned around, only to see that nothing was wrong with his immediate surroundings.

Everything was the same as before, and it was only when he saw a large cloud of smoke covering the horizon further away that he halted in his tracks.

‘Why would the forest suddenly start burning? There is nothing that can cause a fire within the secret realm, except the mutated fire flower treants…but they wouldn’t attack the secret realm, it’s their house after all…or would they?’

Shane was not sure about the true reason for a fire to start in the secret realm, but he knew that it was not possible to devour the silver soul world while the fire was spreading further, burning down the ancient magi trees.

The biggest threat to the trees and treants was in fact fire, which was not really something uncommon to know.

As such, Shane had to quickly think of a solution to bring loads of water to the secret world.

He wanted his soul world to devour the secret realm mostly because of the ancient magi trees, after all.

If they burned down, what would be left for him to benefit from?

Hence, he immediately rushed in the direction the fire was spreading from and didn’t even notice how terrific his speed had become.

Right now, he was barely using his physique, but he was much faster than he had ever been before when he had been going all out.

Shane simply ignored this as he took a look at his soul world and the water tank, including the amount of water inside.

It was not even nearly enough, and Shane could only sigh before he took a look at the vast expanse of his soul world that looked similar to a huge, dried-up sea.

This was exactly what it was supposed to be because it would turn into the place Levi and Lili could stay if they would trust him enough to enter his soul world, to colonise a new planet.

Unfortunately, the sea was relatively empty, and Shane immediately diverted his attention to the system shop, as well as his funds.

‘I don’t have enough funds to purchase enough water to stop the fire…’ Even if the secret realm was not his home, he didn’t want to leave behind the treants and ancient magi trees to burn.

He was not overflowing with kindness and pity, but he knew that others would repay him for helping out.

This applied even more to the treants.

Furthermore, while passing a few treants that fled from the fire, he sensed their mana that was filled with emotions like fear, pain, and anger.

Shane had not been sure what to think about their anger, and it was only when he heard the howling of wolves while seeing a huge group of more than a hundred beings that were fully clad in fire that he understood it.

‘Are those fire spirits full of wrath?’ He wondered, looking at the beings that appeared to have taken all kinds of forms.

Some had a human-like form, some took the form of a beast, and others were mixtures of several beasts or humans and beasts at the same time.

Despite that, it didn’t matter what they were, but how they had entered the secret realm, and why they were burning down the ancient magi trees!

Fire spirits required mana too, thus burning down the trees that produce mana was counterproductive, even if the fire spirits were instinctively driven to destroy and burn down everything.

While Shane sighted the beasts he simply called fire spirits, he noticed that the fire continued to spread as the treants watched helplessly.

At that moment, Shane’s expression turned serious as he took something out of his spatial ring, before throwing it into his soul world, or to be precise, right in front of Talia.

[Are you sure about what you’re doing? Even if you can’t save the secret realm, it’s fine as long as you’re alive…]

However, Shane didn’t respond right away and took a deep breath.

[I’ll be fine, just do as I said, and everything will be fine!]
