'This will be annoying' Shane thought when he saw how many people had crowded around Miriam Phe.

It did not really matter to Shane that there were so many people around someone, but the frustrating factor was that the fiancè he was about to reject was in the same crowd!

As such, without caring about the others, he squeezed himself through the crowd while telling the others that he would be back soon.

They waited patiently for him while looking around.

Suddenly Kylia saw something which caused her to stiffen, and when Jack followed her gaze he couldn't help but flinch.

'Why are they here too?'

Both Kylia and Jack's fiancèes were walking towards them after spotting them amongst the numerous guests.

However, what seemed ridiculous to the siblings was the fact that their ex-fiancèes were holding hands and smiling slyly at them.

While Kylia had hated her fiancé owing to his violent behavior, Jack was just against the idea of getting married at such a young age, and there was no hostility between him and his fiancé.

At least, that was what he thought.

Suddenly, Lars Lector, Kylia's ex-fiancè, who had already approached them said, 

"Did the rotten breed finally return to its nest? How come I see you two here? I doubt that your family received enough invitations to bring you to the Stella mansion!

Oh...don't tell me both of you were sold off by your family as it had almost happened before? Poor Kylia….and you too Jack!" 

Kylia bit her lower lip when she heard how Lars was talking while Jack clenched his fists. Meanwhile, Olivia, who had heard everything, got between them.

"What kind of bullsh*t are you blabbering? 

Their family didn't have to sell them off, because they earn more than enough to take care of themselves! I think the only rotten thing I see here is your filthy mouth!! As for how they came into the Stella mansion, it's none of your business! 

It would be pleasant if you could just f*ck off! I don't think either of us wants to see trash like you around us, as our prestige might suffer!!"

Everyone was astonished by Olivia's sudden outburst, and even Aimy couldn't help but feel dumbfounded.

'What is going on with her?' 

Yet, instead of shutting him up, Olivia's words seemed to ignite Lars Lector's wrath and he was about to charge towards them but Lilia held him back,

"You don't really want to lower yourself to their level, right? Maybe we should tell our family to increase the pressure on the Arda family? They might even crawl to us and beg to stop if we were to do that."

Kylia who heard this paled, thinking that their family would suffer even more because of them when a loud voice resounded through the hall!

"You want to say that you terminate our engagement LIKE THIS? Did you not learn manners, basic courtesy, or how to read the room?" 

The tension mounting on Kylia and Jack began to loosen up when they heard this. They were not sure why, but it could have only been Shane, who liked to be more rational about some things than one should be!

When Shane had squeezed his way through the crowd, he had introduced himself to Mia Ladras before he had requested her to talk in private for a moment.

However, when Mia Ladras had asked him to wait until Miriam Phe would depart, Shane had merely shaken his head and said,

"There is no need to do so, I want to terminate our engagement, because I'm not in love with you, and neither do I want to marry anyone soon! That's everything I want to say. If I were to say 'I hope to see you again' it would be a lie. With that in mind, I will take your leave!"

Shane was fully aware that he had exaggerated a little bit, but Mia Ladras' attitude had annoyed him. She seemed to think that she was someone more important than he was. At least, she had ignored him and paid more attention to Miriam Phe, who was standing a few meters apart from them, doing nothing special at all.

Miriam Phe was just eating, and from the looks of it, she didn't even want to be bothered by anyone.

As such, it was obvious that the whole crowd was behaving in an extremely rude manner.

In the end, Shane didn't like the way Mia had looked at him before she had ignored him entirely, which was the biggest reason for him to say what he had said!

That he would cause such a commotion was something he wanted or something unexpected, but Shane's good mood had drastically plummeted thanks to his fiance, and now ex-fiance. 

Shane knew that this engagement was not something either side wanted, but when he heard her talking about basic courtesy, he couldn't help but smile. 

"I don't really care what you think about me, but when you mean basic courtesy, does that include ignoring my whole existence when I asked you to talk? Furthermore, what the hell is everyone here even doing? Looking at someone who wants to eat in peace? Before you talk about manners, mind your own business, alright? 

I'll take your leave!"

After that, he turned around to leave the dumbfounded crowd that was indirectly referred to in Shane and his ex-fiancès short discussion.

Miriam Phe had heard the commotion too, and she couldn't help but smile lightly as her attention was attracted by something different, which caused her to turn serious within a quarter of a second.

Despite being told that he should calm down, Lars Lector had been infuriated by Olivia's words, and he had utilized a small amount of mana to exert his martial art technique that enhanced his speed.

Only a moment later he had appeared in front of Olivia, whom he had slapped hard.

The sound of the slap had echoed throughout the mansion and Aimy could only see how Olivia's cheek had turned beet-red.

At the same time, when Shane, whose mood was already bad, saw this, he couldn't hold back anymore either.

There was a big difference between trying to act against him and against his own people!

He didn't mind being ridiculed, but whoever did something to his people deserved a punishment!

It looked as if Shane had taken only one step forward, but he had already appeared behind Lars, who was still oblivious to what he was about to face.

When he had taken this one step, his whole demeanor had changed.

His natural charismatic and confident aura had been intertwined with rage, as Shane released his bloodlust-killing intent which he enveloped tightly around him in order to increase his strength.

At the same time, he used his whole mana pool to circulate through his body.

This increased his strength further, but all of that was just the tip of the iceberg.

In a single moment, he released the Hidden Paradise's whole stored mana before retracing it immediately.

The released mana had filled the whole mansion for the moment it had been released while focusing on Lars Lector as the center point.

Shane's eyes had turned ice-cold and if Lars had been an enemy, and not a human from a family that was supporting mankind in their advancement, he would have already died.

Yet, instead, Shane had utilized the Hidden Paradise's mana to envelop Lars with every single of his mana fluctuation before he had intensified the pressure around him.

This pressure didn't even maintain for a second, but it was enough to instill fear within Lars, who was oblivious to the fact of the identity of the person standing behind him.

He had wanted to turn around, but the bloodlust-killing-intent he sensed was compressed and threatening enough to prevent him from acting like a fool.

A moment later, Lars felt a hand grasp his neck, only to be bashed into the ground a quarter of a second later.

After that, Shane retraced his bloodlust-killing-intent while leading the mana within his body back to his mana pool.

Lars Lector had already lost his consciousness, and Shane didn't want to even spare another glance at him. As such, he looked at Olivia, who was more baffled than injured.

This was a good sign, and only when he looked to his right side did he notice that Miriam Phe had already emerged next to him.

This astonished Shane a little bit as he asked in a slightly confused voice,

"Is there a problem?" 

"A problem? You just beat up….Well...I don't think it's a problem to be honest." Miriam Phe had wanted to prevent Shane from killing someone in the middle of the mana awakening event, but it seemed that her worry had been needless.

Suddenly, they heard a concerned voice behind them,

"Shane! Are you okay?" 

Turning around, he was astonished to see that it was Aisha who was approaching him with fast strides, only to see Miriam next to him.

"What are you doing here? Do you want to beat him up too? Is that some sort of your hobby, Miriam??"

'Aisha is right...what am I even doing here? Why am I even trying to intervene in someone else's business?'

"I….wanted to help him? I think?" Miriam was not sure whether she was serious or not, but she had acted on impulse.

'Was that because of this youth's bloodlust-killing-intent or something else?

"You wanted WHAT?"
