Chapter 376.2 – Spirit Vein Migration

Chapter 376.2 – Spirit Vein Migration

Lu Ping looked at Yao Yong and Chen Lian as they had both been injured in their battles with the monster Enlightened Masters. Before this, they were suppressing their injuries because their fights weren’t done yet.

But now that the protective formation was activated, and the monster Enlightened Masters had retreated, Lu Ping naturally didn’t want them to suppress their injuries any longer and asked them to recuperate.

After that, Lu Ping re-entered the cultivation room to check on Hu Lili. Due to the accumulated medicinal toxics in her body, he didn’t dare to use the recovery pellets on her anymore. After thinking about the possible options, Lu Ping came to the conclusion that the Spirit Water Vein Nourishment Pellets were her best chance.

However, now wasn’t the time for alchemy.

Lu Ping left the cave-dwelling.

Above him, the sky was divided into two parts, one part fiery red, the other dark and gloomy. At the boundary where the two parts met, there were continuous rumbles of thunder and explosions.

Lu Ping ignored the danger of leaving the protective formation, hid his tracks, and traveled almost fifty miles east of Huang Li Island. There, he waited patiently and quietly.

As time passed, traces of anxiety gradually crept onto Lu Ping’s face. Eventually, he suddenly looked up in joy, before quickly turning sullen again.

He flew out to meet the incomers, waved his hands, and three snake silhouettes flashed into his sleeves. After that, he returned to Huang Li Island again.

By the time he had returned, Junior Martial Sister Qiu and the others had just finished setting up the spirit vein migration formation. The entire array formation was laid using the island protective formation’s formation chassis as the core.

Lu Ping nodded at them in approval, while the junior martial sisters left the cave-dwelling and the space to him.

Lu Ping waved his sleeves again and let the snake trio out in the cave-dwelling.

Lu Bi spat out a palm-sized exquisite formation chassis. Judging from the mystical formation patterns engraved on it, this formation chassis was also one of Hu Lili’s amazing crafts.

Lu Ping placed the exquisite formation chassis in the spirit vein migration array formation. He then placed three high-grade spirit stones and thirty mid-grade spirit stones on the formation chassis, before finally surging his true energy into it to activate the array.

Amidst the rumbling noises, Huang Li Island experienced its third quake within the same day. A thousand miles away from Huang Li Island, an underwater cave-dwelling in the deep sea also experienced a quake of the same frequency.

Almost instantly, Enlightened Master Mo Wei’s expression changed drastically. He glared at Qu Xuan-Cheng, and scolded, “Coward Qu! How dare you…! Hmph, fine, you win this time. But we’ll see how long you can keep Huang Li Island in your hands!”

Mo Wei then cast several mini divine abilities in a row. The sudden burst of mini divine abilities momentarily pushed back Qu Xuan-Cheng allowing Mo Wei to seize the chance to create distance between them and return to the deep sea.

Although Mo Wei was weaker than Qu Xuan-Cheng, there was nothing Qu Xuan-Cheng could do to stop him from leaving either.

Even though Qu Xuan-Cheng didn’t understand what changed Mo Wei’s mind, he quickly understood that Mo Wei must’ve been schemed against somehow and had to leave urgently. Hence, he didn’t hesitate to mock Mo Wei, “Cuttleshit, you’ve never won against me before anyway!”

Many years ago, when Enlightened Master Jin Li was still alive, Lu Ping came across Jin Li’s cave-dwelling and noticed a small spirit vein in the cave-dwelling. Back then, Lu Ping was still too weak to do anything, so he left with regret.

A series of events occurred, Jin Li eventually died in the East Ocean while Lu Ping made it back to the North Ocean.

As Mo Wei was now in-charge of the monster forces in the northern region, he naturally occupied the best cave-dwelling in the area which happened to be Jin Li’s cave-dwelling since it had a small spirit vein.

Lu Ping wanted to steal the small spirit vein for himself. So, he sent the snake trio on a mission to retrieve the small spirit vein.

Lu Ping knew the operation to reclaim Huang Li Island would attract all the monster Enlightened Masters in the region, including Mo Wei. But because of Mo Wei’s Late Core Forging Realm cultivation base, Qu Xuan-Cheng would have to supervise the operation.

As a result, Mo Wei and Qu Xuan-Cheng would hold each other back and be tangled in a stalemate.

As a result, this would be their best shot to migrate the small spirit vein to Huang Li Island.

The snake trio were monster cultivators, so they had no problem traveling inside the monster race territory. Their incredible prowess also allowed them to easily infiltrate the cave-dwelling and take out any threats.

Sure enough, their operation was a success and they returned after setting up the counterpart for the spirit vein migration array formation following Hu Lili’s instructions.

After that, all Lu Ping hda to do was activate the spirit vein migration array formation on Huang Li Island and they would be able to move it from Mo Wei’s cave-dwelling to the island.

A few moments later, Huang Li Island experienced one final jitter before it stopped quaking. A high concentration of spiritual energy rose from underground and quickly filled the cave-dwelling.

Just as the spiritual energy was about to overflow outside, the protective formation’s chassis suddenly let out a gravitational pull, constraining the spiritual energy to inside the cave-dwelling.

A mini vortex of spiritual energy formed above the formation chassis as it absorbed the spiritual energy to power itself.

Lu Ping smirked mischievously and took out another exquisite formation chassis, replacing the previous one inside the spirit vein migration formation. Then, he placed down another seven high-grade spirit stones and more than a hundred mid-grade spirit stones.

After activating the array formation again, Huang Li Island experienced an earthquake for the fourth time. This time, the counter-part of the spirit vein migration array formation was on a small island a hundred miles away from Tian Ling Mountain.

A few years ago, the residents of this small island had experienced the same type of earthquake before, with some of them recognizing that this was actually a spirit vein migrating. However, this time, the quake was much more violent than when the Li Clan had migrated five mini spirit veins to the island.

Did the Li Clan find another spirit vein to migrate to their residence?

The cultivators on Flying Lightning Island looked enviously in the direction of the Li Clan’s residence, wondering if they had found a small spirit vein this time.

But in the next moment, a shocked and terrified exclamation reverberated inside the Li Clan’s residence, followed by an angry and furious shout, “Who dares touch our Li Clan’s spirit veins!?”

The island cultivators were shocked. It seemed that the Li Clan wasn’t migrating a spirit vein to their residence, but rather their spirit veins were migrating away instead!

How was that possible? Wouldn’t the Li Clan notice a spirit vein migration formation in their residence? They couldn’t be this blind and ignorant, right?

The surrounding cultivators saw the shock in each other’s eyes, but they didn’t say anything as this was clearly out of their league to get involved in.

Word spread quickly, and in just a few moments, the nearby islands already knew about the Li Clan losing its spirit veins. In no time, the whole Zhen Ling Sect and even North Ocean would know about this soon.

Meanwhile, the concentration of spiritual energy inside Huang Li Island’s cave-dwelling doubled. Lu Ping’s friends, who had been in the cultivation rooms recuperating from their injuries and restoring their energies, came out to see what was happening.

When they arrived, Lu Ping had just finished planting the two spirit-gathering pearls Dabao found in Chong Xuan’s Dojo in the small spirit veins. In another few years, these spirit-gathering pearls would nurture the third small spirit vein in the cave-dwelling.

After exchanging some pleasantries, Lu Ping sent his friends away so that they would continue recuperating. He then asked Lu Qin to bring Jiang Xuan-Xuan away to help purge the island from the remaining monsters. After checking that his surroundings were clear, Lu Ping let the snake trio out again.

This time, the snake trio took their half-human forms with the lower bodies of snakes.

Lu Ping’s expression turned gloomy as he asked, “What happened to Dagui? Why didn’t he return with you?”

The snake trio looked at one another, before Lu Bi answered, “Dagui was ready to leave, but two new Enlightened Masters came to visit Mo Wei. After some discussion, Mo Wei sent his only Sixth Layer Core Forging Realm subordinate, Enlightened Master Lv Hai, out on a mission. Lv Hai gathered a team of monsters together, and even chose Dagui as a mount.”

Lu Ping listened quietly as he thought, Another Sixth Layer Core Forging Realm Enlightened Master… How fortunate. If this Lv Hai was also here, we wouldn’t have been able to secure Huang Li Island for sure.

Lu Ping asked again, “Do you know where they are now? Who are those two new Enlightened Masters, where are they from?”

Lu Bi shook his head and answered, “No idea. Mo Wei’s other subordinates also don’t know anything about the mission. We only know that Lv Hai traveled east, probably heading back to the monster base. As for the two new Enlightened Masters, they were initially only resting in the cave-dwelling, but they arrived later on to siege the island. We also don’t know anything about them.”

Lu Ping placed the Golden House on the spirit veins, letting the snake trio enter the spatial dimension to cultivate. Their cultivation base had fully consolidated and they had reached the Peak Blood Condensation Realm for many years now.

At this stage, they only needed a little push and they would be able to advance to the Core Forging Realm.

Whilst Huang Li Island’s territory had been recovered, Lu Ping’s friends had their own duties in the sect, so they wouldn’t be able to stay on the island and protect it forever.

The sect also wouldn’t dispatch too many disciples to the island. Ordinary disciples weren’t powerful enough, yet it would be too wasteful and dangerous to have too many exceptional disciples in one place.

Hence, Lu Ping would still have to rely on his own strength and forces in the end. As a result, the snake trio’s breakthrough to the Core Forging Realm would come in extremely handy.
