Chapter 203 – Updated Later

Landville. First impression? It was the city of mansions. It just looked right Del had just entered another high-end area that only the richest would be able to afford. Even the smaller houses had cars parked in front of those houses. Not to mention that the number of security details that patrolled the entire region was quite large.

"Damn, I think we just enter Alendale, again," Del commented.

"Alendale? The city of nobles? I never entered that town before, but people talked about it a lot. I heard it is a very majestic city, isn't it?" Anna asked.

"Majestic isn't the correct word, I'd say it's a city of overspending. That bloody darn city had gold covering its entire street," Del said.

"Really?"

"Well, nah, it was an exaggeration, but you get my point, right?"

"Yup," Anna nodded.

They got off the train and walked out of the train station. Different from other towns they had been in, Landville had more cars than carriage. Even then, the carriage was pretty much decorated in either gold or any expensive jewelries. To be entirely honest, Del felt out of place with his operator look when everyone was literally wearing a suit or a dress.

"Damn, that woman looked so… elegant," Anna looked at one of the woman that got off of her car. The woman was accompanied with a very handsome butler. She was wearing a clean white dress and wore a fancy hat on her head.

"No shit, yeah," Del also looked at the same woman.

The woman looked at both of them with disgust. Maybe it was because Del and Anna was literally gazing at her like they were savoring something. Del gazed at her simply because she was too invaluable to be missed while Anna envied the way the woman dressed. It would be reasonable for the woman to look at them with disgust.

"Mmm, let's get out of here before the woman call us a stalker," Del muttered.

"Yeah, it's better for us," Anna said.

Del and Anna walked away further away from the train station. They looked for the nearest pub, or any place to plan. However, it was also a major risk trying to discuss a plan inside of a public area. Special forces wouldn't be stupid enough not to put a spy inside of the nearest pub.

"Should we look for the nearest hotel or motel? I don't think we would be able to discuss our plan inside of a pub," Del said.

"Well, that's a good idea, but what kind of hotel that we should be staying? I doubt any rich hotel would accept contractors like us," Anna commented.

"Well, we can sleep on the grass if you want to, but it was simply looking for attention. I think we can stay inside of a cheaper hotel or something, it should be a good idea to formulate our plan there, after all, the spec-ops might not be able to differentiate us from any ordinary contractors," Del said.

To find a hotel in that place was easy. Every single hotel on that place would have a large sign that could be read from afar. It was also the place where one rich person would visit another rich person so a hotel would be pretty much expected in Landville.

They walked deeper into the center of the town. Mansions filled the hills surrounding the town. The town itself wasn't exactly the main attraction of Landville. It might either because of the town's beautiful landscape or the fact that the town was just strategically positioned.

Eventually, after they walked for a while, they found a hotel on the side of the main road. It didn't look too expensive for what it looked, but it was definitely a hotel that would cost him one gold coin per night at the very least. Del entered that hotel, with his combat boots and combat gears which was really out of place.

One of the bell boys approached him, "Excuse me, what are you doing in here? Are you here to kill someone?"

"Emm, no, I'm just here to stay," Del said.

"Oh, you're a guest?" The bell boy asked.

"Yes, I am," Del was disappointed with that question.

Del was not even looking like someone that was a plebeian. He still had more than enough money inside of his pocket. He was basically rich enough to pay for anything expensive so far. It was just that he looked like a regular grunt too much that definitely didn't have too much money.

"Oh, I apologize, sir, please, this way," the bell boy said.

The bell boy led Del to the receptionist table. Del ordered for the cheapest room with double bed so he and his sister would have enough space to sleep in comparison to a one-bed room. The price for the cheapest room was three gold coins. It was expected.

"Your room is on the 5th floor. You can take the elevator on the left. Our bell boy can help you to carry your luggage, the room is 123," the receptionist gave Del the key and the door bell tried to take Del's machine gun from his hand.

"This thing is mine, sorry, but I'd rather hold it with my hands," Del said as he kept holding his machine gun tightly.

"I'm sorry," the bel boy said.

They head to the elevator. The door bell opened the door to the elevator and all of them entered the elevator. The bell boy pressed the button on the elevator and the elevator lifted up from the ground. The elevator had music on it, most likely coming from a radio.

After they waited for a while, the elevator stopped and the bell boy opened the door of the elevator. The bell boy carried their luggage and their backpack until they reached their hotel room. The bell boy opened the hotel door and Del entered the hotel room alongside with Anna.

"Tips, sir?" The bell boy asked.

"With your kind of introduction, I'm afraid a silver will be enough," Del gave the bell boy a silver coin and he closed the door.

Del put his backpack near the bed and opened his tablet again. Inside of the quest paper, there was an envelope that Del hadn't opened, but it was very thick. The content of that envelope was pictures, bunch of them. All of them were in black and white.

It was mostly intel to be honest. It was the picture of the location where the arms dealer was staying alongside with the picture of the arms dealer himself. There was also the fact that there were also the pictures of the bodyguard of that arms dealer.

It also had several documents that showed what the security details were. They were all former special forces group ranging from 23rd Special Recon Battalion, 24th Special Engineering Squadron, and 105th Special Assault Detachment. All of them were dangerous.

"They could fly?" Anna showed a picture of them floating in the sky while holding their rifle.

"Damn, it will make things more complicated," Del commented.

"I'll say we should attack them at night, we have the advantage of our NVG," Anna said.

"Hmm, yeah, but night assault and machine gun doesn't connect, your weapon has a supressor, I don't. This machine gun will light up like a firework, and don't get me wrong, any suppressor would either glow brightly or melt after a sustained fire from the M240," Del said.

"You can buy a new gun on the move, right? Just buy something that can be attached with suppressor, I think you might want to buy an M16 with silencer or an M4, whatever works, I guess?" Anna commented.

"Where are the cheap stuffs?" Del asked himself.

[The "cheap stuff" that you mentioned has been phased out for a more recent weapon]

"Ok, can you give me the same as what my sister has?" Del asked Pidma.

[Certainly. All will be 4,000$, attachment included. With 4 magazines loaded with 5.56 AP]

"I see, well, get me that gun then," Del said.

A crate appeared on top of the bed. Del opened that metal crate and it contained the same exact weaponry as the one that Anna was currently holding. It was a heavily modified M16A4 with ACOG sight, silencer, and a vertical foregrip. Maybe he could attach new things on that rifle, but it was more than enough for now.

"Sweet," Del muttered as he picked up that rifle.

"Dad's old rifle, isn't it?" Anna asked.

"Yeah, I rarely used it though," Del said as he checked the magazine of that rifle.

The magazine of that rifle was filled with black-tipped bullets. It was a bullet with tungsten core and it would penetrate any light or medium armor. From the picture, it looked like that the security details wore some sort of armor. It could be bulletproof as far as Del was concerned.

"Alright, since weapon issue is solved, how about tactics?" Anna asked.

"Well, we will brief about it now," Del said.
