Chapter 410 – Jackson’s Formal Introduction

"Wow! I can't believe it took you so little time to make such plans and I am very elated to know that you did this all for my sake," Jasmine said as she beckon him to walk closer to where she sat. When he reached where she sat he squats in front of her.

"What a considerate hubby you are," Jasmine said with smiles patting his hair affectionately.

"Of course, I am the best husband in the entire world," Jackson said with pride beaming at his smiling woman.

"You are narcissistic…,"

"And I know my wifey loves that," Jackson replied playfully. He helped her remove her long golden earrings.

"It will be almost time for lunch. We need to arrive at my parents home early because my father hates it when someone arrives late for any occasion or meeting. He will find faults with you using this as an excuse so let's get ready on time," Jasmine said in a serious tone.

"I can't afford to make my father-in-law angry at me on such an important day so let's get ready fast," Jackson said impatiently. He stood and removed his clothes. The two of them entered the bathroom at the same time after they were both undressed.

Though they entered the bathroom to the shower together, Jackson refrain from doing anything naughty to her and he also stopped her from doing the same to him.

This is his best opportunity to win her parents over so how could he afford to make anything goes wrong?

The two of them dressed up in the same room but they didn't disturb each other since they had little time to finish whatever they were doing and depart.

Jasmine wore a yellow off-shoulder long dress. She put on a white fur coat to shield her body from the chilling breeze.

Jackson dressed up in black blazers and a white fur coat that looks almost exactly like that of Jasmine. The only difference his coats has was the black colour furs on some parts of the coats.

The two set out on their journey. As Jasmine and Jackson, were getting ready to meet her parents so also was Elizabeth and Alfred.

It was like a family tradition for the two sisters to visit their parents on New Year day and they don't normally miss it no matter how busy they are.

When they parked in front of the vast house Jackson turned to stare at Jasmine about to come out of the car.

"How do I look? What about my hair? Do I look presentable? Do you think he will like my outfit…,"

"Aren't you the one who told me to act naturally the day you wanted to officially introduce me to your mum so why are you getting all anxious now?" Jasmine interrupted the nervous Jackson.

"That is because I don't want any mistakes. I want your parents to like me. Even though they don't give me their permission on our first meeting I don't want them to regard me as a playboy because of my outfit," Jackson said as he adjusted the collar of his clothes.

"Looking closely I can't help but notice that your outfit makes you look like a playboy," Jasmine said resisting the urge to laugh when she saw him frown.

"Jasmine!" Jackson exclaimed his eyes glued on her.

"I was only joking so relax because you don't only look handsome in this outfit but you look amazing. Trust me," Jasmine said, smiling at him. Her words somehow put his mind at ease.

"Let's go," Jasmine said as she got out of the car. Jackson removed the gifts they bought on their way back to the City earlier.

The two walked towards the entrance with Jasmine left hand wrapped around Jackson's right arm.

When they reached the sitting-room they met Mr Avans reading the newspaper in his hands, Mrs Avans sat close to him.

"Hello, mum, father," Jasmine's pleasant voice made her mother take her gaze off the newspaper she was peeping at. Seeing Jasmine standing in front of her with a broad smile, words couldn't express Mrs Avans happiness.

"Good afternoon Auntie, Uncle," Jackson's polite tone made Mr Avans who was still reading the newspaper raise his gaze to look at him.

He scanned him from head to toe only to look away after he was through accessing him.

Jasmine paid less attention to her father but hurried to her mother's side.

"Happy New Year mum. I have missed you," Jasmine sitting beside Mrs Avans said embracing the elderly woman instantly.

"You naughty…,"

"Oh gosh, I almost forgot to do the most important thing,", Jasmine said abruptly pulling out of her mother's embrace. She stood up and walk closer to where Jackson still stood.

"Mum, father, meet Jackson Smith, my boyfriend. I intend to marry him if nothing goes wrong along the way," Jasmine said boldly. Her bold words made Jackson slightly adjust the way he stood.

Mrs Avans took a proper look at Jackson without uttering a word. She accessed him to the point that Jasmine mistook her silence for dislikes.

"Welcome and you can have your seat over there," Mrs Avans replied in a polite tone pointing her hand at where she wanted him to sit down.

"Who said he could sit without me giving him the permission to do so?" Mr Avans cold voice made Jackson about to sit down stand straight. Mrs Avans was surprised by her husband's words but instead of being surprised Jasmine was angry.

"Father…,"

"Jasmine, it's ok. He is right about that," Jackson tried to stop Jasmine from arguing with her father but his words weren't enough to stop the stubborn Jasmine from talking.
