Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Chapter 174 - You Look Dashing

"You look spectacular," Jackson complimented as he stares at her black gown which has an opening at the sides. His eyes moved to her hair. He was surprised to see that she has changed her long black hair to a bright white ombre on coffee colour.

"You look dashing," Jasmine said as she closed the gap between them.

"And tempting too," Jasmine whispered into his ears smiling before she turned to face Jeff.

"Pretty boy, you look hot too," Jasmine said beaming at Jeff.

"You look the same too. And I love your new hair colour and style," Jeff complimented as he steals a glance at Catherine who hasn't uttered a word to any one of them.

"I deliberately choose to wear black because I was afraid of outshining the celebrant. I was afraid my hair will be pulled off if I wear what I originally had in my mind," Jasmine said playfully.

"You still look amazing in this. And even though you wanted to keep a low profile, it still didn't work since you stood out among everyone," Jeff complimented.

"You are such a sweet talker. Your future wife will get spoiled by you. I am sure you are gonna filled her ears with these sweet words every day," Jasmine said her smile broaden even more.

"But I am not lying. Just take a look at how everyone is staring at you. They are captivated by your beauty and elegance," Jeff said as he looked around him.

"I am sure it is not my beauty that makes them stare at me. I am sure they are staring at the two of you, wondering whether you both have gone insane to associate with the renowned She-devil. They must be pitying the two of you inwardly," Jasmine said sarcastically. When she sighted Steve from afar she started approaching his table. Her gaze was concentrated on Steve to see the lady sitting opposite him. Jackson quickly followed her leaving Jeff and Catherine together.

"Catherine, you look fabulous in that white dress," Jeff complimented when he saw that it was only the two of them there.

"You don't look bad either," Catherine said before she walked away.

"Did I do something wrong? Why do I feel like she has gone back to her former cold self? Was what Steve said actually true?" Jeff thought his once delighted expression turning to a sad and confused one.

On getting closer, Jasmine smile slowly faded when his eyes met the face of the lady sitting opposite Steve. From the way she was glaring at her, Jasmine could see that the lady was furious with her.

Jane's murderous glance directed at Jasmine did not stop the confident lady from keeping her shoulders high. Jasmine is the one who intimidates people but people don't intimidate her.

"Hello, Sister-in-law...,"

"Oops, I meant Jasmine," Steve quickly corrected. The way he acted was so obvious that what he said wasn't a mistake. He did it deliberately to piss off the lady who has been glaring daggers at the woman his best friend loves.

"You have joined Pretty boy in becoming naughty. I wonder whether I should scold Pretty boy for corrupting you or you for learning bad things from him," Jasmine joked as she beamed at him.

"If you should scold anyone it should be Jeff, not me," Steve quickly shifted the blame to Jeff.

"Steve...,"

"You look so lovely Jasmine and your new hair colour suits you a lot," Steve said smiling sweetly at her.

"The two of notices my new hairstyle unlike someone whom I am sure didn't even know that my previous hair colour was black," Jasmine said as she sat down beside Steve. The way she talked made it obvious that she was referring to Jackson.

The way all of them treated Jane like some invisible being did not go know well with the angry lady who seems to be trying her best to keep her temper in check.

"You think he didn't notice your new hairstyle?" Steve said as he stole a glance at Jackson who didn't make any comment despite knowing that Jasmine's words were directed at him.

"I am a hundred per cent sure that out of the three of us he is the one who noticed your new hairstyle first," Steve added before he turned to face Jasmine he was talking to.

"Yeah, Steve is right...,"

"What is so special about her goddamn hair that you all are making a fuss about," Jane blurted out of rage.

After her utterances, she raised her gaze to stare at them. She quickly composed herself when she saw how strangely they were staring at her.

"She has finally shown her true colours," Jasmine mumbled enough for Jackson and Steve sitting at her both sides to hear.

"How did you know that she was pretending?" Steve whispered into her ears ignoring the silly remarks Jane made.

"Because she b*tched out at me on our first meeting. It's too bad that Ice Prince doesn't know who she truly is...,"

"And who says that he doesn't know?" Steve asked to the confusion of Jasmine. When he saw the confused look on her face he regretted making his earlier remarks. He knew very that she will ask questions so he silently prayed for either of his friends to save him. Jackson love life depends on what his reply will be if she asks him a question, he did not want to ruin his best friend's plans.

"What do you...,"

"I know her hair is lovely but that doesn't mean we should bicker about this the entire night. This is a party and it is meant for fun and not to discuss an unimportant topic," Jane said in her melodic voice. Jasmine rolled her eyes when she saw how Jane was trying to fool everyone with her fake angelic look.

"Since our topic is unimportant how about you bring up an IMPORTANT and INTERESTING TOPIC?" Jasmine said making sure to emphasize the words important and interesting.
