"What are you planning to do?" Jeff asked when he saw her bring down utensils from the kitchen shelves.

"Do you mind dating me? I promise to take good care of you?" Jeff blurted out to the surprise of Catherine. She subconsciously stops in her track when she heard his sudden proposal.

Catherine turned around after she has gotten over the shock he gave her.

"Sorry Young Master Darwin, I have no intention of dating a prince, it's too much of a hassle," Catherine replied nonchalantly before she walked over to the grey colour refrigerator.

"Cat, why won't you date me? I am rich, handsome, intelligent and have well-toned abs so why are rejecting me when you have kissed me three times?" Jeff asked sounding displeased.

"I kissed you three times? Wasn't it once?" Catherine asked as she shot him a piercing glance.

"Yes. The first kiss was that night in Maldives Island that Steve, you and I went to the club...,"

"I recall you telling Jasmine and the others about it so when did I kiss you again when we haven't met since we parted ways in the airport," Catherine asked as she stares at Jeff who was approaching her.

"The second kiss happened on the night we drank in you and Jasmine's hotel room the night before we came back. I didn't mention it because I was afraid that the others will tease you," Jeff replied as he slowly covered the gap between them.

"The third kiss happened here after you overdrank. Cat, why do you keep stealing my kisses if you don't like me? Do you like me but you are pretending not to...,"

"Stop overthinking because the kisses occurred because I had too much to drink. It means nothing and I can't even recall those three kisses you mentioned," Catherine said as she tilted her head sideways to avoid staring at his face.

"Why did it always have to be with me if it was just your drunken act? Why didn't you kiss Steve, JK or any random guy?" Jeff asked not willing to let the matter slide so easily.

"Maybe because you always stick to me like glue," Catherine replied without staring at him.

"People show their inner feelings when they are drunk, I guess that is what happened...,"

"Jeff stop prolonging the issue. I don't have any special feelings for you and that is nothing but the absolute truth. I will act like I did not hear your proposal," Catherine said sternly. Her words hurt the usual carefree Jeff but he hid his inner emotions well.

"Ok, since you have stated your feelings clearly I won't mention the topic again," Jeff said before he walked few steps backwards.

"I will be in the sitting room. Be careful with your hands," Jeff said before he left the kitchen.

"Was I too harsh?" Catherine thought as she stares at the door leading to the sitting room.

After staring at the exit for close to three minutes she turned and continue with what she was doing.

It took her an hour to prepare the food. At the dining table, Jeff didn't utter a word and she noticed it. Despite feeling so uncomfortable because of the silence she continued to eat.

Jeff left her apartment immediately after lunch. He did not even wait for a few minutes so that the food will digest a little.

"How could she cruelly reject my proposal after taking advantage of me so many times? She shouldn't have made an advance at me if she did not like me," Jeff driving at high speed on the free road mumbled angrily as he increased the speed.

Back in Steve's mansion about two hours after their lunch, Jasmine playing with her cellphone received a call. She had planned to throw the phone on the centre table after she has seen who the caller was but she changed her mind when she saw the way the guys were staring at her. The guys just stares at her as she picked the call. The only words they heard her speak was at the end of their conversation.

"Ok, I will meet you there," These are the only words Jasmine uttered before she disconnected the call.

"Are you going somewhere?" Steve asked after receiving Jackson's signal.

"Hmm... Lizzy called me. It has been over three months since we haven't met. And do you want to know the funniest thing about our relationship," Jasmine asked smiling?

"The funniest thing about us is that she only calls me when my father has words for me. I am sure you guys have noticed that I don't answer my father's calls. His line and that of his office has been blocked. The only way we communicate is through my sister or mother, isn't that hilarious?" Jasmine asked.

"The second reason she calls me is to nag me and I am sure that this is her reason for calling me this time around. Aren't we siblings very funny? I am sure we are the only sibling who treats each other like this," Jasmine said as she stood up. She walked upstairs without listening to Steve's reply. She came back a few minutes later after retouching her makeup.

"Let me drop you off," Jackson proposed as he stood up. Steve wasn't surprised to see him act this way. Since the arrival of Jasmine, Jackson has been doing a lot of strange things he hasn't done before that is why he was no longer shocked by his actions.
