Master of the End Times

Chapter 943 - Only One?

Chapter 943: Only One?

Other than Chu Fan, who was based at the Blood River Realm, the other two had attended the meeting in person. Half of the management team attended through video conference.

“I will be exploring and developing a new realm with several S-tiers in the coming days. Thus, I am going to pull certain people, money, and tech support away from current operations.”

Qin Feng immediately stunned the attendees with a straightforward announcement.

Though they knew how strong Qin Feng was, he was still only an A-tier aptitude user.

Indeed, the reason why the Fengli Organization could stand firm and flourish in this tumultuous world had Qin Feng solely to thank. He had not lost a single fight against their potential competitor or threat so far.

In the Blood River Realm, Qin Feng weathered the punch from Fist God and successfully retained control over the realm. However, he still had to share the resources with other A-tiers.

Now, he was going to collaborate with other S-tiers.

That was an unexpected leap that came sooner than they thought.

Qin Feng quickly elaborated on the condition of Dragon Island. Though it was close to inhabitable, the amount of energy there was nothing Earth could compare to.

The managers who attended the meeting felt mostly uneasy rather than jubilant.

They could hardly follow their president’s pace. Qin Feng was advancing too fast.

The Blood River Realm was already a mammoth step. But Aether Realm was on an entirely different level. The ultra beasts that roamed the realm were majority beast emperors. It was simply too dangerous.

Most importantly, none of them could go with Qin Feng. There was not a single A-tier among the management group.

It was also too short a notice to hire anyone of that caliber now.

“President, we don’t have any A-tier in the organization. If we are only contributing money, I reckon the other parties would keep their promise since you are dealing with trustworthy S-tiers. My concern is that their subordinates probably wouldn’t be too pleased.”

“That’s right. Any form of collaboration will only work if all parties are equal. We can’t even dispatch enough B-tiers to the realm, let alone A-tiers!”

“Business-wise, this is not a safe investment. Don’t we be made cat’s paws!”

They debated heatedly. With their organization’s future on the line, they tended to expect the worst. No doubt, the S-tiers were all well-respected figures and the group for sure admired their accomplishment. But when they were put in this position, it was difficult not to at least be wary of them and the true intention behind this too-good-to-be-true collaboration.

“Don’t judge prematurely, and no need to panic. I will stay in the Aether Realm for a while. Make sure you all catch up while I am away.” Qin Feng purposely glanced at Xue Xingfu when he said that.

Ten years later, Xue Xingfu would be an A-tier after piling up enough resources. However, he was way behind schedule being a mere C5-tier now. His talent would not be worse than Zheng Lin, right?

Qin Feng was certain that Xue Xingfu had not put in enough effort in this matter.

Xue Xingfu’s mind spun quickly and he immediately came up with an excuse. He laughed and said, “This is not a pressing problem. Have you all forgotten about what Chu Fan is working on recently?”

Qin Feng raised his eyebrows and glanced at Chu Fan.

On Chu Fan’s desk, a robotic dog jumped up vigorously.

“I have been working hard these past few months to produce the first prototype of mecha controllable by a human. It only requires a C-tier conscious power to unleash power comparable to an A-tier aptitude user,” The robo-dog spoke proudly.

Chu Fan nodded and continued, “So far, I have only built one. I am still finding a way to mass-produce it but the materials needed are simply too rare. A mecha of A-tier level would require an undamaged, well-preserved carcass of an A-tier beast emperor. The combat power of the mecha depends solely on its manipulator. The result could be that of a beast deity, but could also be as pathetic as a beast general.”

Judging by Chu Fan’s perfectionism, he certainly considered such a prototype a failure.

“Only one? That would do for now!”

Qin Feng surveyed the meeting table. Chu Fan was stationed at the Blood River Realm right now, while Xue Xingfu had to stay in Fengli City to look over the corporate business. Zhou Hao was also not a suitable candidate for the same reason.

More importantly, they had to deal with S-tiers in Aether Realm on this trip. He had to bring along someone that was slick and sly at the same time.

To be honest, Guo Guan and Guo Song were good candidates. Unfortunately, they once belonged to the Dark Coalition. Though they were clean now, Qin Feng did not want them to risk their lives. If they were ever recognized and killed by old foes from the Human Alliance for past grudges, then Qin Feng would lose two very capable subordinates.

“Wang Chen, I want you to go with me.” Qin Feng finally decided.

Wang Chen was now a C7-tier gunslinger. Qin Feng believed he could reach B-tier in no time after he moved to the Aether Realm that was blooming with raw energy.

“Oh! Yes, Sir!” Wang Chen raised no objection and obeyed immediately.

To prepare for their trip, Xue Xingfu immediately appropriated funds to manufacture energy blasters and backup that Qin Feng and Wang Chen might need later. These matters were later delegated directly into Wang Chen’s hand.

Qin Feng trusted his man and did not interfere with the preparation at all. Five days later, he and Wang Chen finally departed to Xue Yuen State.

If Hu San had not told him, Qin Feng would never have found Hu San’s place in this vast wilderness.

This place sat right next to the rift connected to Dragon Island so Hu San could hibernate here after suffering the fatal injury and retained his last breath thanks to the dynamic energy leaking out through the rift.

But those were things in the past. After Hu San experienced the Inheritance left by the Immortal, his power had enhanced dramatically. From now onward, the fate of this old man would slowly be diverted away from what Qin Feng once knew.

When Qin Feng arrived with Wang Chen, the other three groups had long been waiting. There were a total of thousands of people gathered around the entrance.

Qin Feng scanned the crowd with his consciousness. There were only fourteen A-tier aptitude users, followed by about three hundred B-tiers and roughly seven hundred C-tiers. The B and C-tiers were probably brought over to help in constructing the base or stabilizing the realm. It was impossible to ask them to hunt there.

When Qin Feng emerged, Beitang Gan’s sight immediately fell on the young man beside him. He was stunned. “Qin Feng, you only brought over one person? And his tier…”

Beitang Gan frowned. ‘Why did he bring a C-tier with him? At least ask a B-tier…’

“One is sufficient,” Qin Feng replied lightheartedly.

“Alright, it is what it is. We will still treat you as equals and won’t act in an unjust manner,” Beitang Gan promised.

After all, their lives were saved by Qin Feng. Furthermore, Qin Feng was an official member of the Human Alliance now and had a bright future. It did not actually matter how many men he brought. They did not expect much from the A-tier, to begin with.

“Sure!” Qin Fen did not say much. On the other hand, Wang Chen was rather nervous. This was the first time he had met someone as daunting as Beitang Gan. The S-tier’s impressive aura spooked him to the point where he did not even dare to stare at his shoes.

Other than that, Wang Chen could feel the heated gazes from the crowd too.

The B and C-tiers did not understand why Beitang Gan was talking to Qin Feng respectfully. Only the A-tiers were told that Qin Feng was one of the collaborating parties.

“Is this guy named Qin Feng getting all the benefits for nothing? That’s cheap!”

“Rumors say that he is pretty strong. I think he is just good at taming weak beasts.”

“I still don’t understand why Hu San wants to collaborate with him as an equal.”

Some did not know about Qin Feng, while some had only heard about his story. They all concluded that Qin Feng was only lucky. They had never seen it so they did not know how dominant Qin Feng was.

Hence, they all looked at Qin Feng with slight discontent. Wang Chen was inevitably being scorned too.

This only piled on more pressure onto Wang Chen’s already burdened shoulder.
