Chapter 942 - Naming the Dimension

Chapter 942: Naming the Dimension

‘Asteroid Assimilation? Why is it called Asteroid Assimilation?’

‘Asteroid Assimilation is a skill that allows its user to withdraw internal strength from others. You could also call it power sucker or whatever name you see fit.’

‘Asteroid… Does this asteroid refer to the star within cores of realms?’

‘Asteroid Assimilation was once thought to be an evil art. It would drive its user insane and violent to kill and plunder internal force without restraint. However, since I also possess the Absorption Ability, I could nullify the mental influence of this art on me. As such, Asteroid Assimilation is no longer an evil art in my hand.’

‘Now that I think about it, this art probably belongs to the Dark Coalition. Not only that but it could very well be an art invented by an Immortal. Other than that, nobody would be arrogant enough to claim that he or she could assimilate stars.’

The more Qin Feng thought about it, the more he believed this. Asteroid Assimilation absorbed a human’s internal force, which was then stored inside the dantian. When Qin Feng attained S-tier, his dantian transformed into a realm like his consciousness and housed frozen stars in it.

Hence, Qin Feng postulated that Asteroid Assimilation could also be used to harness the power from a realm’s core (a star) in the advanced stage, which in some sense was similar to human dantian.

This was undoubtedly a godlike art.

It was not something Qin Feng had thought of before. Now that he knew how powerful this ability was, he would keep this secret to himself to the end of eternity.

Everyone in the Dark Coalition would yearn for such a skill, while at the same time it was also a great threat to the Human Alliance.

Qin Feng believed that the Human Alliance would not mind sacrificing him to eliminate a hidden menace.

While the train of thoughts in his mind raced wildly, the hovercraft had reached its destination. It was a small town known only by number—Town 14214.

There were still ample vacant villas in this town. Hu San picked one for Qin Feng as his residence here. The card given to Qin Feng could access a small spatial waymark portal inside the town so that he could return to the central citadel anytime.

After settling down, Hu San told him the final purpose of today’s series of actions.

“Qin Feng, the realm that we went to previously, is likely to be the place where the Immortal had died. There isn’t any human living there yet and I wish to develop it. This project is currently managed by me, Nangong Zeming, and Beitang Gan. Are you interested in participating?”

Qin Feng was intrigued. He was, of course, interested to get involved in the Aether Realm. He was even thinking about absorbing the ability core of the Immortal.

However, the Immortal’s crystal core was beyond the capacity of the Asteroid Assimilation. Qin Feng wondered whether his innate Absorption Ability could assimilate it. He could test it if the spatial ever reopened again.

“Master Hu, I am more than pleased. But, am I qualified?”

Hu San laughed, “If you are not, then none of us are. We need you in there.”

After that, Hu San notified Beitang Gan and Nangong Zeming through the communicator. They swiftly arrived at Qin Feng’s villa.

“Marshal Qin, congratulations for joining the Human Alliance,” Nangong Zeming commended.

“Thank you!” Qin Feng replied politely. They took their seats and an AI robot served them respective beverages.

They then discussed the details on the development of the uncharted dimension. This ranged from defense systems, spatial stabilizers, to spatial tunnel placements and future expansions, security structures, as well as manpower to be invested.

In terms of manpower, Qin Feng had a limited supply. He thus invested more in money and machines.

The return was naturally the loot retrieved from the realm, such as hunted beasts, mineral mines, herbs, etc. More so, Qin Feng would also be notified the first time when the spatial rift that led to the Immortal reopened in the future.

In short, endless opportunities and benefits were waiting to be reaped.

They came into a consensus rather quickly. Qin Feng and Hu San would take 30% of the profits, while Beitang Gan and Nangong Zeming claimed 20% each.

If there was no new blood joining, this contract would last for a year and be reallocated after that.

“Now, let’s give this realm a new name,” Hu San suggested.

Nangong Zeming said, “There are a lot of wyverns and dragons on this snow island. It is a treacherous place. Should we just name it Dragon Island?”

Qin Feng nodded in agreement. After all, that place was indeed called Dragon Island in his past life.

However, Beitang Gan held a different opinion. “You only named the island, how about the realm? The realm is constantly ravaged by a storm, why don’t we call it the Feilian* Realm.”

“Why don’t we call it Xueshen* Realm instead? This newly emerged dimension belongs to an ice-type immortal!” Hu San remarked.

“I think that name has already been registered in the Human Alliance,” Beitang Gan explained.

“It’s just a name, after all. Let’s stick to the Aether Realm. Who cares about whether there’s a similar name out there or not? Not that we are going to report this to the Alliance anytime soon. This is still only an inhabitable realm at the moment. Chances are it could collapse any time before we fully stabilize it.” Nangong Zeming said carefreely.

“Alright then.”

“Aether Realm it is.”

“I agree.”

Together, they had decided the name for this dimension. This was all very new to Qin Feng. Exploring an unknown dimension, naming it, harnessing its resources, and more. He had now officially stepped into the center of power among the S-tiers.

‘However, I am not an actual S-tier yet. My influence is limited only to the S-tiers that understand my true strength. A-tiers who have never seen me fight would not be willing to take me as their master. I should rank up and upgrade my tier as soon as possible.’

After the meeting, they split up and got to work. Qin Feng did not immediately return to Earth. He immersed himself in the new communicator, wanting to comprehend more about the Human Alliance.

He was deeply interested in the various bounty missions posted on the web. However, the Human Alliance was a place for true S-tiers. If he insisted on staying and exploring without Hu San, he could very well become cannon fodder here.

Qin Feng decided that he should strengthen himself first and come back once he had reached S-tier. He finally put down the new communicator and took out the Spatial Waymark card. It opened a spatial tunnel that led him back to Fengli City.

“Notify the managers that I would like to meet them in an hour’s time. Those that can’t make it should still attend through video conference.” Qin Feng sent the message to Xue Xingfu.

“Yes, President.” Xue Xingfu immediately passed on the order.

The Fengli Organization was very different from the time it was newly established. The upper echelon might not necessarily be powerful users. In fact, Qin Feng was against giving B-tier combatants an important position in the management.

At least, those B-tiers that joined from Chongluo City had been gradually dispatched out to other colonies under Qin Feng’s command. They still enjoyed lucrative pay and benefits, but the resources given to them were not the best.

In contrast, Xue Xingfu, Zhou Hao, and Chu Fan had become Qin Feng’s most trusted right-hand men. Among them, Zhou Hao was the strongest at a measly C8-tier.
