Little Miss Witch: Revenge of the Tainted Angel

When Yao Qigang arrived at the Li Mansion, he was apprehensive of people coming his way. For one, he couldn't understand why the Li family extended an invitation for him to attend Li Xiuying's birthday party when he'd only met the woman once. 

He looked around, trying to see if they also invited that wretched mistress, but Lin Meirong was nowhere to be seen. 

So many people attended the party that was organized by Old Madam Li. If he wasn't shit scared of the Li family right now, he would have taken this chance to make acquaintances with several prominent personalities within the entertainment industry. 

When she was done conversing with her mother-in-law, Li Chuntao was left alone and remained at the pond. She walked towards the deeper side of it. From the corner of her eye, she spotted Yao Qigang in the crowd. 

She admitted to herself that she was nervous, as she had never gone as far as taking revenge this way, but as Li Chuntao shut her eyes, the memory of her dead sister in her last moments was enough to make the blood in her veins boil with anger. 

She took a wine flute from a passing waiter and waited for her victim to invade her private space. This time, there was no turning back. 

Madam Shen had warned her about her revenge, but she couldn't just stop midway and she knew it. She'd forgotten all her worries when she saw Yao Qigang making his way towards her. 

Since he was late, he would need to pay respect and greet her first before mingling with the other guests. He didn't expect to see her again anytime soon, but receiving an invitation from the Li family, it was obvious that there was an underlying reason why they invited him tonight. 

"Lady Li. It's been a while since we last saw each other," he started. 

"Yes, wasn't it only yesterday when you tried to sexually abuse Lan Jinyao?" Li Chuntao retorted much to Yao Qigang's shock. 

She enjoyed how his face turned red to green to white and back to red as he understood her insult to his person. 

"Lady Li?!" He exclaimed, surprised that the benevolent saint Li Xiuying was able to say those words, dripping with poison.

Li Chuntao chuckled and wrapped an arm around her midsection as she pressed her lips on the rim of her wine glass. She gave him a mocking look that revealed her contempt against him. 

"You must be happy that Lin Meirong refused to give you the obligation of raising your child with her. My ex-husband must be really a fool, letting her put a green hat on his head while she kept her affair with you." 

The man was stunned into silence. His jaw dropped from the revelation. The child in Lin Meirong's womb was his? Then why the fuck did that bitch keep it from him? 

"You are wondering why she didn't tell you?" Li Chuntao said, as if she was aware of how the gears on his mind were running. "It's for the simple reason that she herself didn't know. With all the men you forced on her, how would she know?" 

"However...," Li Chuntao added, "even if she did, I doubt she would inform you. What could she ever gain from you with this news?"

Yao Qigang's body started to shake from anger, his eyes ablaze as she looked at the angel who delivered the news to her. 

That damn bitch! He was going to kill Lin Meirong. Whether the bitch knew or not, he didn't care. The knowledge that his child was now with another man made him lose his sense of reason. He was definitely going to kill her after he was done with this angel! 

But how would he be able to remove Li Xiuying? As long as this woman was alive, he would never be in peace!

This Li Xiuying looked at him like he was trash and smiled coldly. 

"Mr. Yao, I didn't think your face would be as thick as the Great Wall. To actually step in here after trying to plot against me? What were you thinking?" 

Yao Qigang's eyes were already bloodshot, his hands itching to strangle Li Xiuying to death so she would shut her mouth. 

His eyes then shifted to the deep pond behind her and he tried to stop the grin forming on his lips. If he could push Li Xiuying into the pond, he would be lucky if she hit her head on the sharp rocks below the pond or much more if she drowned to death. 

According to their records, Lady Li had an extreme fear from drowning caused by an almost life threatening event during her childhood. How can he let this chance slip from his hands? 

Li Chuntao shook her head and finished her drink in one go. Couldn't he be more obvious? She could sense his murderous intent from where she was standing, not that she would stop him anyway. 

'Do you need a little push?' She thought. 

As soon as she finished her drink, she suddenly felt a jolt of dizziness hit her. Her knees trembled as she tried to keep her balance. Wait. This wasn't part of her plan!

Seeing the opportunity to push Li Xiuying, Yao Qigang inwardly rejoiced. It seemed like lady luck was on his side tonight. He sauntered towards her, covering her form from everyone's eyesight. 

"Lady Li, are you alright?" 

He stretched a hand as if he was trying to steady her, but as soon as he touched her shoulder, Yao Qigang gave 'Li Xiuying' a good push, making her fall into the pond. Her body hit the water with a loud splash. 

Some of the guests who were near the pond saw 'Li Xiuying' fall on the pond and started to scream for help. 

"Help! Lady Li fell into the water! Hurry, someone please save her!" 

Zheng Yue who was laughing with Madam Shen was shocked when she heard the screaming outside the ballroom. She rushed to the scene with Madam Shen behind her and looked for her niece with fear written all over her face. 

"Someone! Please save Lady Li!"

"Director Yao pushed her! Apprehend him! Don't let him escape!" 

The guards rushed to the pond, but they were beaten by Shen Zichen as he immediately jumped into the pond to save his wife. He didn't expect that her plans would turn out this way! 

Just what was she thinking?! Didn't she know that he was worried to death when he heard that she fell? 

He was on the opposite side of the pond, talking to his colleagues from the hospital when the commotion happened. 

Shen Zichen dived deeper into the pond and noticed that Li Chuntao had lost her consciousness, as her body continued to sink to the bottom of the pond. He was briefly reminded of the last time Li Chuntao attempted to kill herself by drowning at the lake. 

He caught her wrist even before her body reached the bottom, which was laced with uneven rocks and pulled her towards his body. Shen Zichen swam back to the surface and gasped for air while ensuring Li Chuntao's head was above the water. 

Still, Li Chuntao remained unconscious, making Shen Zichen grit his teeth in frustration. What kind of trick was this witch playing now? 

He moved to the shallow part of the pond and emerged with his wife in his arms. He shot Yao Qigang a deadly look before marching away from the scene. 

"Move! Out of my way!" He yelled and summoned one of the servants to prepare the car. There was something wrong with his wife. 

Zheng Yue covered her mouth in shock, unaware of the tears that streamed down her face. 

"She'll be fine. Zichen will take good care of her.." Madam Shen tried to reassure her.
