Chapter 117

“I’m going back to that hospital.”

Hiro made Alice, who was drinking water, choked and coughed.

Cough! Cough!

“What did you say? Have you gone mad? Do you think you can go to that hospital like you go to other hospitals?”

Hiro had guessed that Alice would definitely not let him go to the hospital where Yuujin’s body was being preserved. He had expected it.

Even so, Hiro wouldn’t let that stop his plans. He had prepared an offer so he could take advantage of Alice and her abilities as Anonymous.

He told Anonymous about the pet he had got and his plan to find WynterRain’s whereabouts to ask him directly about what had really happened.

Hiro told Alice that he had seen Yuujin’s body being preserved in that hospital. He was also one hundred percent sure that WynterRain was completely controlled by Yuujin.

Though he hadn’t found out the method yet. Hiro was still figuring it out.

However, the most important thing right now, Hiro had information that correlated to all of that.

The information on one room in the hospital, along with the cat’s name. He knew that Liberty must have thought about it dozens of times before telling Hiro just like that, with no obvious clues.

Hiro was sure Liberty knew something. Something deeper that she had known so far. He told Alice everything, about what was in his brain, and his predictions that he had thought carefully.

And apparently, Alice realized that Hiro’s prediction might be right.

“So, are you going to help me?” Hiro really hoped that the girl would agree to help him.

Besides, Hiro was in America with an illegal identity. It would be very dangerous for him to go to big places independently without Anonymous’s help.

“One hour.”

Hiro tilted his head, hearing Alice’s short answer.

“I can hack their security system for only one hour before they clean me out.”

Hiro breathed a sigh of relief. One hour was enough for him. He really couldn’t wait to do it.

Alice said Hiro’s sneak out operation must be carried out at night. Because it would be dangerous if it turned out there were people in the targeted room during visiting hours. It would become a disaster for Hiro.

In addition, he had to avoid eye contact with other people in the hospital as much as possible.

To speed up time, Hiro took the time to re-login into the game and completed the daily quest in less than an hour.

While in the game, he repeatedly checked the time, which seemed to run so slowly when he was waiting for something.

Even after successfully completing his daily quest, he still had time. Hiro decided to take a break and slept for three hours until the dazzling sun turned into a brilliant moonlight.

Hiro went to the Johnson Hope Hospital by an automated taxi he used to escape from the kidnappers.

Anonymous was indeed crazy. She could access the automatic taxi by just hacking the system so that it functioned like it received a VVIP member customer. Free of charge, of course.

Upon arriving, Hiro immediately put an earpod in his left ear to keep in touch with Alice without having to open the screen on his android bracelet.

“I’m here.”

“Go to the fire escape.”

Hiro walked to the side of the building to find a fire-escape place and entered the building through the fire-escape when no one was paying attention.

Even though there was CCTV monitoring in every corner of the hospital, Anonymous quickly manipulated Hiro’s image and erased it from the footage as if he had been camouflaged against the background.

Hiro walked up the stairs to the fifth floor based on Anonymous’s instruction. He would come out on the floor where the hospital workers rested. And there, Hiro could easily steal the uniform as well as the identity card, just in case something happened out of his plan.

He managed to do it, and so far, he was still safe. No one seemed suspicious seeing Hiro wandering in the hospital.

After stealing two uniforms, just in case. The first uniform was for cleaning service, and the second was the uniform for a nurse.

Hiro got into the elevator and went to the floor that Liberty was told.

‘Special 101 floor, VVIP Section, room number 1011’.

Ding!

The elevator door opened, and he had arrived at the Special 101 floor. It surprised him a bit because he didn’t see anyone on the floor.

The hallway on that floor looked more like a luxury hotel than a hospital. As far as the eye could see, Hiro could only see an empty hallway.

Even so, he noticed that some turns had automatic robots that seemed to serve as waiters, like in a restaurant. The robot greeted as Hiro passed by.

He’s glad that there was no threat sensor like a security robot or anything.

Hiro walked to room number 1011 with his heart beating faster than normal. The hallway felt freezing because the air conditioner in that floor was set below average, while there was nothing on the floor.

There were only rows of rooms nearly three times larger than the room where Yuujin’s body was preserved.

Finally, Hiro found it. A room with a gold metal plaque with ‘1011’ written on it.

Hiro suddenly got cold feet to the point that he didn’t realize the iron door in front of him didn’t have a handle like other rooms.

“Damn.” Hiro felt so stupid when his hand was holding an empty air in front of the door.

“What happened?” Alice asked through the earpod.

“Emmm…how can we open a door with no knob?”

“What?! Show me!”

Hiro stepped back and pointed his android bracelet camera towards the door in front of him. Anonymous could see it better through that camera than the CCTV cameras she controlled on that floor.

“Hmm… it must have a hidden lock or something. Just what’s inside that room?”

Hiro tried to check on the door one more time, trying to find a clue. He was used to looking for something hidden in the game world. And now, looking for something in the real world… It didn’t seem like an impossible thing to do.

He squinted his eyes and checked on the door without touching anything.

“Be careful. It might have an infrared sensor or something. Watch your hand, Hiro.”

Hiro didn’t respond. He already knew about it. He would not be so careless in his actions. After all, he was in the original world. Not just a virtual world.

“It’s more difficult than I thought.” Hiro muttered to himself.

Due to the cold temperature on that floor, whenever Hiro spoke, his mouth let out hot steam. And the hot steam just happened to cling to the golden plaque in front of the door.

That was when he found something strange. The steam didn’t manage to change the color of the plaque completely. Because the number ‘0’ of ‘1011’ was not affected by Hiro’s breath.

Hiro tried it again. He let out hot steam from his mouth towards the number 0. And the result was the same. Nothing happened.

“Gotcha. You must be here.”

Hiro touched the circle inside the number ‘0’ and a transparent panel suddenly appeared.

Beep!
