Last Shelter Online

Chapter 109

Hiro and the others were flung backward quite far and extremely forcefully. Hiro couldn’t even see where the attack came from when he suddenly felt a piercing pain in his right chest. Moreover, he also found it hard to move his arms.

It was only after he opened his eyes, which felt heavy because of the slightly thick liquid that was sprayed onto his face, that he finally understood what just happened to him and the others.

Hiro immediately checked the current most important thing using his HUD system. Even though he felt pain all over his body, Hiro was relieved when he saw that all his party members were still alive.

The player with the lowest HP among them was Noah. His HP bar had turned red, and it could only mean one thing: He was dying.

Hiro tried kicking around to free himself. Not only were his feet unable to touch the ground, but his body was stuck on a considerably large tree trunk and a spear the size of his arm was stabbed in his right chest.

He used all his remaining strength to pull the thing out.

“Arggggh.”

Clank!

Hiro succeeded and fell kneeling on the ground. He was just as fatally injured as Noah, but the additional HP from the Blood-Eater Vampire saved him at the last moment.

Hiro quickly drank a Health Potion to restore his HP.

In front of him, Jacob managed to resist the abrupt attack with his shield protecting him, but his shield was split into two and destroyed into shards of crystal as a result.

“Damn it, what was that?” Jacob, who no longer had a shield, hurriedly used his Provoke skill to attract the furious dragon’s attention again.

The two sapphire blue eyes turned into a terrifying shade of blood red.

“Jacob, be careful.”

Hiro ran toward Noah, who had collapsed on his back a distance away from him. With almost every part of his body stabbed with icy spears, he looked like a giant hedgehog.

Behind Noah was Wheelie, who was trembling while hugging her knees. Fortunately, she was fine.

It seemed that Noah had made himself into a human shield to protect her at the last second.

“Looks like you’re okay, hurry back up and let’s continue fighting.” Hiro took the Blood-Eater Vampire, which was also flung away when he received the fatal attacks, and jumped back to his initial position.

“Fill up your HP with as many Health Potions as you need, we don’t know when she’ll use her ultimate skill again.”

Everyone immediately did as Hiro instructed. In a matter of seconds, the situation had reverted to normal and they began to continue fulfilling their respective roles.

The ceaseless attacks from Hiro and Jacob’s slashes and Cara’s dagger swings successfully inflicted a wide-open wound on the dragon’s body. Meanwhile, Noah, who had been aiming for the dragon’s vital parts, successfully scalded the hard body and even caused it to melt a little.

Three minutes passed, and the Blood-Eater Vampire’s special skill was finally back. Hiro leaped and flew low toward the dragon’s chest which was covered with thick, armor-like scales. He was aiming for the dragon’s heart when all of a sudden, the dragon’s head turned to look at him and opened her jaws.

“Shit!” Hiro turned his body in the air to push himself to arrive at his target position faster. However, it didn’t seem to be enough.

At that moment, Noah noticed that Hiro wouldn’t be able to reach it in time.

[Wind Dash]

From the distance, Noah swiftly aimed at Hiro’s body and instantly threw the empty air in front of him with both hands, pushing Hiro out of the icy breath’s area.

Whoosh!

Hiro, who suddenly received a full speed buff, immediately turned his greatsword toward the dragon’s chest.

Splattt!

The Blood-Eater Vampire’s blade once again emitted a purple metallic light when it heavily struck the dragon’s chest. Hiro had to land his two feet vertically on the dragon’s body to push the greatsword with his physical strength.

Still, it wasn’t enough.

Roaaaarrr!

The dragon roared and stretched its giant claws toward Hiro, but Jacob and Cara didn’t allow that. And again, Noah cast a wind-controlling spell to help Hiro stab his greatsword deeper to reach the dragon’s heart.

Splat!

It worked.

Roaaar!

Ding!

[Hell Dragon is dying. If the legend is true, the princess can be saved before the dragon dies.]

“Jacob, kiss the dragon now!” Hiro had pulled out his greatsword. The Blood-Eater Vampire seemed satisfied with the meal it just got. It didn’t leave a drop of blood on its wide blade.

“Really?”

Hiro nodded, and Jacob seemed to change his mind a little.

“I thought I’m gonna kiss the princess?”

The dragon unsteadily moved before falling and kissing the ground. Its breath had become irregular, and the blood from its stabbed heart had formed a blood swamp on the ground around it.

Jacob had to go through the blood swamp with difficulty. Furthermore, he really had to stick his lips to the dragon’s muzzle.

But nothing happened.

“Kiss the dragon right, Jacob!” Hiro felt that Jacob wasn’t doing it seriously.

Jacob, who had landed lots of kisses on every side of the dragon’s face, was already beginning to feel annoyed.

“Maybe you should do it, Hiro! Come on, try it!”

Hiro frowned. He really minded it. Kissing a dying dragon covered in blood? He never expected that he would have to do such a thing.

“I’ll take a photo and send it to Liberty,” Jacob muttered when Hiro walked toward him ready to kiss the dragon.

“I’ll kill you first.”

A kiss was given, but the dragon was still dying. Nothing happened.

Hiro and Jacob simultaneously turned their heads toward their last hope.

“No! No! I am not doing that!” Noah directly refused.

“Come on, Noah, just pretend you’re kissing Hiro!” Cara, who was already feeling impatient, made a comment that attracted Hiro and Noah’s glares.

“”Hey!””

“Come on, Noah. You’re the only hope we have left.” Hiro truly felt that he no longer had any pride when he had to rely on other people so much.

But who would’ve thought, Hiro’s words actually persuaded Noah to agree to kiss the dragon.

Ding!

[The charming knight has arrived. A kiss from the charming knight broke the curse.]

Zzzing!

A blinding light suddenly shone from the dragon’s body. Hiro and the others even had to quickly close their eyes due to the burning sensation.

In three seconds, the light shrank with the dragon body it enveloped. The figure of a lady standing with elegance in a beautiful white dress had replaced the dragon’s existence. Her skin was glowing white, with not a speck of blood staining her body.

She had everything they defined as beautiful.

“You saved me!” Even her voice was especially melodic and soothing.

Hiro and his four party members were truly hypnotized by the princess’s beauty. They couldn’t stop themselves from staring at the princess’s eyes without blinking.

Ding!

[All party members have obtained 1 Cursed Dragon’s Heart]

The princess seemed confused as she seemed to be looking for something. It didn’t take long for her to squeal with shock when she saw the seven stone statues she recognized to be her poor friends.

The princess suddenly cried. Her tears dripped to the stone statues, and…

A miracle happened.

Clink!

A bright light once again appeared. This time, the light enveloped the seven stone statues and broke the female demon’s curse.

“Princess!?” The seven dwarves seemed overjoyed when they saw that the princess was fine, and the eight of them cried as they tightly hugged.

Ding!

[All party members have obtained 7 Blessings of the Seven Dwarves]

Finally, the princess looked back toward Hiro and the others after reuniting with her best friends.

“Which one of you is the leader?”

Hiro walked toward the princess and subconsciously bowed in front of her.

The princess smiled at him.

“I owe you my life. Please accept my special masterpiece in return.”

Ding!

[You have obtained 1 Ancient Gold Statue]
