189 Coincidence

“I will never do that if it means that I have to kill him.”

Hiro glanced at Noah, who just said something too sweet and didn’t seem like him.

But, Sathanas actually laughed at what he had said.

“Ha ha ha.”

“But the devour of power will make you kill everyone, even your own parents, or your beautiful queen, Young elve.” Sathanas said something that made Hiro think hard again. It seemed that the certain NPCs in the LSO world were actually controlled by someone and it didn’t work automatically as they were created in the system.

Hiro saw that the HP bar above Sathanas’s head had disappeared again, as if to signify that the time to fight against him was up. Even before the monster got angry? Hiro didn’t know the concept of that creature, but he was sure that in the future, he would have to face Sathanas once again. With maximum power.

Sathanas walked up to Noah and patted him on the back. His hand, that was in contact with Noah, seemed to give off a greenish glow. He didn’t budge at all, then he could feel something warm within him.

Ding!

[The balance has been achieved].

[Yin Yang Harmony has been upgraded to Stage 1]

Noah smiled at the notification he just received. He then looked at Hiro and nodded.

“I got them.”

After getting what they needed, Hiro and Noah walked back towards the stairs they had entered earlier. However, Sathanas showed a warp bubble behind his throne that could send the two of them straight out of the place without having to pass through the skeleton’s lair.

“Come back when you have found a way to kill him, Young elve.” Sathanas sat back on his throne in his human form. He looked like he still hoped that Noah would come back to see him again for the purpose of getting the blessing of being a dark elve.

Noah ignored him and kept walking.

Ding!

[You will be teleported back to the city]

It was already evening when the two of them managed to get off the ship. Before the highly racist NPC demons roamed the city more and more and arrested Noah, Hiro decided to go back out through the illegal market under the Hellfire Tavern floor.

Besides, he also wanted to check back if there were more interesting items to buy.

“Don’t forget to translate my book,” Hiro muttered to Noah, reminding Noah that he still owed Hiro something.

“Yes, Sir.” Noah still couldn’t stop staring at his Mystic Tome with both eyes, flashing an excited glow. He really would never have been able to find a way to upgrade it this fast if Hiro’s older brother hadn’t written a little note for him in that Walkthrough.

“NightFall, I wonder why did your brother write the walkthrough for my weapon, too? I mean, he did know from the first meeting at the maze that Yin Yang Harmony is my weapon.” He stopped walking and stood by the side of the road.

Hiro sighed, and he gave Noah an answer.

“It seems like he already knows that you will become a permanent member of my party, and he really wants to make whoever I work with right now grow rapidly and become the strongest.”

“But, for what? What does that have to do with him?”

“Well, I guess, to defeat him together. You know, being the strongest sometimes makes the whole world feel like a really boring place because nothing else can bring you down? He has been through it since he was young and that’s why he continues to teach me to be strong in the hope that I can beat him one day.”

“But you know what? Of course, I can’t beat him. Ha ha ha.”

Hiro returned to walking after laughing in discordance. Noah just watched the man’s back. He felt that this time Hiro had just talked about something he had never told anyone before. Somehow, that touched Noah’s heart. He felt closer to Hiro, and his bond with the man grew stronger. Moreover, Hiro repeatedly tried to protect him when he was off guard.

A wide smile spread across Noah’s face. For the first time, he felt that his heart, that was always filled with hatred and thirst for power, felt very light. What he needed all this time turned out to be in the game he was playing.

A friend.

“I’ll treat you to a meal as an exchange!” Noah put his arm around Hiro’s shoulders from behind, making the man startle reflexively. Hiro felt uncomfortable.

“You can buy me something in the illegal market instead of treating me to a meal in this world.” Hiro gave another alternative.

“As long as you don’t just bankrupt me, I’ll treat you.”

“Ha ha ha ha.”

Hiro entered the Hellfire Tavern, and the place was as deserted as before. That way, the two of them could easily infiltrate and use the underground stairs to go to the market.

However, before they had time to find a unique item to buy, Hiro’s steps stopped when he saw a figure too luminous to visit the place. And it seemed that the figure was facing a problem.

“Just give my flower back! I found it first. You stole it from me! I don’t want to buy things I already have in the first place!”

Liberty was having an argument with a woman who had opened a stall in the market. The woman was dark-skinned and well built. She carried a large axe on her back as a weapon. Her gaze savagely stared at Liberty, who furrowed her brows in annoyance.

“I told you, the price is 99,000 LSC. I know a princess like you can really afford it.” The woman’s voice hissed like a snake, and she clenched her jaws tightly.

However, it was not Liberty if the girl was not stubborn and never gave up on things she thought were right.

“I found it first! You stole it from me!” The girl’s voice couldn’t keep up with the intimidation of the woman.

“Shut up and get out of my face!”

Liberty closed her eyes as the drool of the woman in front of her streamed down her face.

“Watchmen!” the woman called out to two bulky players who worked as guards at the market and they were on their shifts.

The two guards immediately stood flanking Liberty and pulled the girl by force.

“Let go of me!” Liberty struggled, but she was helpless.

But of course, Hiro couldn’t just let the girl be rudely chased away.

“Let go of her or I’ll rip your hands off.” Hiro looked at the two guards with a look full of anger.

Liberty reflexively turned her neck to look at Hiro, and her eyes suddenly filled with tears.

“H–Hiro…”

“If I were you, I would listen to him. You know, having hands is perfect!” Noah had come to join in, and he was standing on the other side of the guards who were trapping Liberty with their muscular bodies.

“Get the hell out of this place!”
