Kiss Me Not

Chapter 167 - One More Time

Kevin was too frank and straightforward when expressing his thoughts and feelings with Mitch.

'He said he was anticipating the kiss to happen…' Mitch looked at him with disbelief, a blush creeping over her face.

Her heart started to run wild once again as Kevin gazed at her with his charming smile.

Mitch opened her mouth to say something but no word was uttered.

"But I want to confirm it with you just in case I just misunderstood it. Mitch… did you really intend to kiss me at that time?" Kevin asked her, scratching his face. He was also blushing. Though he was blatantly asking her this, deep inside Kevin was also nervous.

Mitch bit her lower lip, contemplating whether to admit it or not. But then, she realized that it was always Kevin who was direct and very vocal. So it was her turn to express her feelings to him.

"The thing is… I was overwhelmed by the things you confessed to me. You had spoken your feelings. I felt touched by your sincerity. I wanted to say something but I'm not good at words. So I intend to express it through my actions…"

Mitch paused for a moment, mustering up her courage. Kevin's attention was still focused on her.

"As to answer your question… Yes… I tried to… k-kiss you."

Mitch covered her face using both hands after saying those words.  She couldn't look at Kevin right now.  What if his impression of her would change because of this?

There was a moment of silence. Mitch didn't know what Kevin was thinking right now. Then she just felt a hand pulling her hands down to stop her from covering her face.

She turned to her side only to see Kevin's face that was already a few inches away from her. He already invaded her personal space.

Mitch was stunned for a moment, not knowing what to do. She felt like Kevin's intense gaze was penetrating her soul.

Before she realized it, Kevin already cupped her face, leaning over to claim her lips. Mitch held her breath with her unblinking eyes. Her heart was pounding rapidly inside her chest.

'He is getting too close. Is he… is he planning to kiss me?' Mitch was screaming inside her mind.

Thump* Thump* Thump*

The loud beating of her heart resonated in her ears. Kevin's face was so near. She could feel his breath fanning her face. His eyes lingered on her lips.

Mitch felt like the time had stopped when Kevin's lips finally touched hers. He did it! He kissed her!

Mitch could only close her eyes as Kevin started brushing her lips. His movement was slow and gentle at first, trying to make Mitch relax.

Kevin was nibbling on her lower and upper lips alternately, tasting and savoring her lips. He was not in a hurry, waiting for Mitch to respond.

This was her first kiss and she didn't know what to do. Who would have thought that kiss would be this sweet?

'His lips… they are so soft…' Mitch thought to herself.

After a few seconds, she instinctively opened her mouth and mimicked his movement. She just found herself, wrapping her arms around his neck as she tried to pull his head closer.

Kevin smiled inwardly as Mitch finally responded to his kiss. This time Kevin deepened the kiss, running his tongue over her lips.

When Mitch parted her lips once again, Kevin grabbed that opportunity to thrust his tongue inside her mouth. His tongue was searching for hers.

Mitch was just responding with her instinct since she had no experience kissing a guy before. She just hoped Kevin would not be disappointed with her since she felt like she was a sloppy kisser.

When they could no longer breathe, they broke the kiss to gasp some air. They were panting, still holding each other's faces. Kevin didn't move away from her yet as he wanted to kiss her more.

"Kevin… I'm sorry. I'm not a great kisser," Mitch apologized, lowering her gaze.

But Kevin shook his head with a smile. He lifted her chin so that he could meet her eyes.

"That kiss was so amazing, Mitch! Don't worry, you will get used to it and gain more experience. You can practice more by kissing me," Kevin said, cracking some jokes to lighten her mood. He wanted her to ease up a little.

Mitch flashed her beautiful smile. She had to admit that she liked the feeling of kissing him.

"Kevin…"

"Hmm?"

"One more time… Kiss me again…" Mitch requested boldly.

Kevin was taken aback by her sudden request. He didn't expect that Mitch would make such a request. Of course, he liked it.

In fact, he was planning to kiss her again since he couldn't get enough of her. Without further ado, Kevin closed their gaps again and captured her lips.

While they were kissing, Mitch was thinking that she didn't have to be reserved. She had to go out of her shell and became more aggressive. Besides, she liked Kevin and Kevin liked her. Their feelings were mutual.

She was no longer a teenager who had to undergo a courtship stage. She was now ready to date exclusively and gave herself a chance to enjoy dating Kevin.

When they broke the kiss for the second time around, Mitch felt like she wanted more of him.

She didn't know where she got her courage but this time around she pushed Kevin back to his seat. Kevin watched her in puzzlement, wondering what Mitch was planning to do next.

To his surprise, Mitch suddenly unbuckled her seatbelt and got up from her seat moving on top of her.

Kevin's eyes sparkled with excitement when Mitch climbed on his lap to have a better position while kissing. Their position a while ago was a little bit uncomfortable. Now, Mitch was straddling Kevin, facing him.

"So Mitch, does this mean we are officially a couple now?" Kevin asked Mitch expectantly.

Mitch anchored her arms around his neck, not breaking their eye contact. Her lips curled up into a sweet smile before nodding her head.

"Yes, we are!"

After saying that, Mitch smashed his lips with hers, sealing her words with a passionate kiss.
