I Help the Richest Man Spend Money to Prevent Disasters

Chapter 311

Chapter 311

[Edited]

After Ye Zhi took off her shoes, she straightened up and turned her head to look at Gu Ren, wanting to warn him with her eyes that he should not act so brazen.

Unfortunately, this did not work on Gu Ren. Although he clearly caught what she meant, he brazenly decided to ignore her warning and smoothly proceeded to urge her instead.

“Hurry up, we will lose if we don’t start looking.”

Ye Zhi could only helplessly give up and look for the keys.

From the moment Gu Ren and Ye Zhi met in the elevator, the bullet screen had been littered with a barrage of comments mostly related to Gu Ren and Ye Zhi.

“Although it was a pity that Gu Ren and Ye Zhi were not in the same team, the show crew has done a good job by adding these tasks.”

“How are Ye Zhi and Gu Ren not in the same team? Can’t you see that Sheng Man and Shan Qian were ruthlessly abandoned? Hahaha…”

“I want to see more scenes of Ye Zhi and Gu Ren together!”

When the task officially began, Gu Ren and Ye Zhi completely devoted themselves to the game. In order to increase the work efficiency, they further divided their area into two parts. Gu Ren was finding the keys in the left part while Ye Zhi was looking into the right part.

They started from the outer range of their respective parts and gradually began to move in the middle.

While searching for keys, Ye Zhi also kept an eye on Sheng Man. Sheng Man was working very seriously this time. Ye Zhi supposed it was because of Gu Ren and Shan Qian’s presence.

Because there were too many balls, it was not possible to move them aside to find keys. Thus, she could only carefully touch the floor inch by inch, for fear that she might miss the keys if she was not careful enough.

Ye Zhi was completely focused on finding keys, with her back facing Gu Ren’s back. Unbeknownst to the two  busy people, the distance between them was getting shorter and shorter.

Gu Ren was also concentrating on finding the key. Although he wanted to say a few words with Ye Zhi, the game was still in progress and he must focus on the task at hand.

Beneath the balls was a rough blanket. Gu Ren’s palm slided over a portion of the blanket and didn’t find anything.

In the next second, Gu Ren took a step back and instinctively felt as if he was about to run into something. The next moment, Gu Ren and Ye Zhi turned around at the same time and perfectly met each other’s gaze.

When Gu Ren’s fingers moved slightly, his fingertips seemed to have touched something cold and hard.

A subtle smile immediately formed on Gu Ren’s lips and he said in a low voice.

“I seem to have found the key.”

The words were full of seriousness, but there was a hint of playfulness hidden within them.

Ye Zhi’s attention was instantly shifted and she subconsciously stretched out her hand to explore in the direction under Gu Ren’s hand.

The expected key was not found. Instead, Ye Zhi’s fingertips suddenly touched something warm, causing electricity to jolt through her system then straight to her heart, leaving it with a sweet and numbing sensation.

Just as Ye Zhi wanted to retract her hand, Gu Ren suddenly moved his hand and caught the familiar and soft hand into the palm of his hand.

Ye Zhi felt her face slowly heating up. Fortunately, the heating in the room was turned on sufficiently, otherwise someone would definitely notice that something was wrong.

Ye Zhi didn’t even dare to withdraw her hand. She was worried that too much movement would cause the balls over their hands to scatter, revealing the hands that were clasped underneath together.
