“You guys are nice snakes. Thank you for helping me.” Zack bowed down in front of the trees as many dead-looking snakes were hanging from the branches.

After all, they had been pulled down by a human who was at least twice their weight.

‘Maybe I should swing the snakes as a rope and throw them at the lion.’ Now that the snakes had temporarily been dealt with, he could easily look at the berries. ‘Aha! At least I know one of them.’

Shining at the top of the tree was blackberry that Zack managed to remember from the book he had read.

He then jumped towards the tree and obtained the berry. As soon as he got the berry in his hand, Zack knew that he no longer had to fear the lion.

‘I better wash my hands later on.’ Zack thought while staring at the blackberry the size of a strawberry sitting in the palm of his hand.

The berry was poisonous enough to kill a person as soon as it entered their mouth. If someone who held the berry with their bare hand, licked it, they would die slowly and painfully.

That was why Zack was sure that once he managed to plant the berry inside the king’s mouth, he could easily force him to eat it.

“Now, I wait.” The boy then sat on the ground as he waited for the lion to appear.

An hour later, the lion finally showed itself in front of Zack as the latter smiled.

“I have been waiting for you since so long ago.” The black-haired boy smiled as he stood up from his place and clenched his hand around the berry.

The lion didn’t understand what the human was saying but it didn’t like the smile on Zack’s face.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ It immediately jumped forward with its jaw stretched open as fire appeared around his teeth. Zack looked at the lion’s move with surprise but didn’t move from his place.

Instead, he brought his right hand forward and threw the berry inside the lion’s mouth.

The moment the berry touched the surface of the lion’s mouth, its body dropped down on the ground.

Zack didn’t wait for anything else as he exited the trial and appeared back inside the white room of the guild.

“Now, only one trial remains,” Zack muttered with a sigh as he opened his status page and clicked on the last trial.

After clearing it, he would be able to get a subclass but before that, he would be called by the temple of the goddess of the light.

As soon as Zack saw the details of the final phase, his eyes widened. He immediately looked in front of him to see a giant black crow lying on his lap.

The crow seemed to be asleep and Zack could see a giant boulder beside him. Judging from this scene, Zack had to kill the crow with the boulder.

He didn’t understand what was the purpose of such trials.

So, he picked up the rock and brought it closer to the crow’s head. Suddenly, it opened its black eyes and stared at Zack with horror.

The latter just sighed before throwing the boulder away.

“Go on and fly away.” Zack laid back on the ground below him as the crow looked at him with a confused expression.

It then raised his head below Zack’s right palm and asked for a pat.

The latter smiled at the crow’s actions and gently patted its head.

Despite his earlier actions, the crow still looked at him with a trusting smile.

Suddenly, the quest window opened up in front of the boy has he looked at it with a confused expression.
